The 16th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic
WHAT
The Charleston Parks Conservancy will host their 16th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at Hampton Park on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The Teddy Bear Picnic is a fun-filled day of live music, hula-hoops, bubbles, crafts, face painting, games, and a parade. Families come together in Hampton Park to enjoy a picnic lunch, fun activities for all ages and the opportunity to spend a wonderful afternoon in the park. Best of all, this family-friendly event is FREE to attend! The quality of a city is directly related to the quality of its parks. The Charleston Parks Conservancy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to inspire the people of Charleston to connect with their parks and together create stunning public spaces and a strong community. With expert staff and a passionate corps of volunteers we work to rejuvenate parks and bring people in the community together through fun and engaging programming. The Conservancy must raise 90% of our operating budget annually to continued serve our community. Teddy Bear Picnic sponsorships are critical to the Conservancy’s ability to host large scale free community events. Thank you for your support.

WHO
Thanks to our volunteers, we are able to accomplish so much and maintain stunning public spaces in our community. In 2009, a group of volunteers decided to offer a free event to bring children and families into the park and create lasting childhood memories, all while raising awareness about The Conservancy. At 2025's Teddy Bear Picnic, over 2,000 children and families came out for a day of fun in Hampton Park!
