The larger renovation came with the altering of the Marketplace to accommodate such changes to the meal plan. The renovations were described by Lou Anino,

vice president for facilities, as “very high level” and “about a million dollar investment.” “It was a complete renovation of the server areas and the dining spaces; certainly to gain efficiencies, to provide more options, and to provide specialty options,” said Anino. The renovations focused on providing more options to students as well as creating a better flow of service in the dining room. A ‘Simply Serving’ station was added to accommodate students with more specific dieting restrictions. The station consists of food which eliminates eight of the ten food allergens, including tree nuts and gluten.

ions & Editorials section. I had found my truest, deepest passion. I always knew I loved to write, but I never thought myself to be a journalist - but that’s exactly who I became. I wanted to do more… I became a columnist, creating the Charger Poll, and the Weekly Discovery. Today, as a senior at the University, I am the Opinions and Editorials Section Editor. Today, I am consistently developing ideas for my section. Today, I am overwhelmed with excitement to see what my future holds. I am a student on the Dean’s List, a bookworm, and a member of an honor’s society. Four years ago, I refused to go to college. Four years ago, I was dying to live, trying to find myself. Four years ago, I decided to start the first four years of my life. My college experience has been nothing but life altering. My peers, my professors, and my passions have shaped me into the person that I have always wanted to be, before I knew who that person was. My greatest advice to those entering their first year of college: If you are afraid, nervous, or battling crippling anxiety, you will find your place, yourself, and who you want to be. The opportunities I have had throughout these past years have been unforgettable. I didn’t want to go to college, and now I don’t want to leave.

elcome back, students! In light of summer coming to an end, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane to see how you spent your summer! The majority of us? We spent our summer working - probably to prepare for a fun filled semester of money-spending on things we don’t necessarily need (i.e. Chipotle/Karaoke Heroes). For the teensy bit of you who were able to enjoy a vacation filled summer or a getaway with your significant other, mention @ChargerPoll on Twitter to share where you spent your time! I’m also pleased to mention that 0% of us spent our summer Netflixing. That’s what the school year is for. ince we’re coming back from summer, some of us are probably at least a little sunburnt. This is when you need something so simple, yet so amazingly life-saving - Aquaphor. This ointment saved my life, and there are so many benefits and uses that you can get out of one purchase of under $8. At first, I began using Aquaphor on my lips during the winter since they were extremely sensitive to the cold. The ointment completely transformed my face overnight, and every area that was chapped was suddenly as smooth as a baby’s bottom. Throughout the year, my eczema got the best of me (specifically my face), so before bed, I would apply as much Aquaphor as needed to conceal my whole face. By morning, there is always a shocking difference. Lastly, the ointment cleared my skin of blemishes. Even if you currently have flawless skin, everyone needs a little bit of Aquaphor in their life. You are so very welcome, folks!

The media could not get enough, boxing experts analyzed every single detail, and ESPN stopped their 24/7 Lebron James coverage just to get a piece of the action. During this media whirlwind, there was one minor flaw that everyone forgot about,
Mayweather and Pacquiao were dominating the boxing world winning titles left and right, and the only fight they needed was against each other. As time went on contract negotiations broke down, allegations starting swirling, and when money was brought into the equation greed was always at the end of the equal sign. In the meantime, both fighters fought meaningless fights for the next six years and it began to take a toll. When this fight was finally announced it broke all kinds of

Wild Thoughts — DJ Khaled, Rihanna & Bryson Tiller Released as the third single off the Miami DJ’s tenth studio album Grateful, Khaled found the perfect musical recipe for an anthem meant to cool us off well into the indian summer. This track proves that Rihanna and his stardom has not yet faded while Bryson’s continues to grow. Love Galore (feat. Travis Scott) — SZA The world of female R&B has found its new reigning queen in New Jersey-native turned TDE-signed artist SZA. Her breakout single, the haunted R&B-tingled Love Galore, asks the question that many women want to know: “Why you bother me when you know you don’t want me?”

Obsession (25/7) — DJ Vice feat. Jon Bellion and Kyle DJ Vice combines the forces of two rising artists for a hit: Jon Bellion’s contemporary R&B vocals blend perfectly with Kyle’s sing-rapping to create a lighthearted pop song about modern love and the magnification of emotions that exists with the use of social media. Bodak Yellow — Cardi B This Bronx Dominicana is a woman of many trades including Instagram comedy, reality TV, and nightclub hosting; now she’s breaks two records with her braggadocious bop Bodak Yellow, the only Love & Hip Hop star since show’s inception to have a solo top 10 pop hit and the highest charting solo single by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj in 2014.

Rake It Up (feat. Nicki Minaj) — Yo Gotti Looking for a house party track? You’ll find it in this Mike Will Made It-produced trap number mixed with plenty of cockiness, unbothered attitude and an infectious Nicki Minaj verse. Praying — Kesha There was question whether Kesha’s career would recover after her 2016 court battle with former producer and label head Dr. Luke. However, with a supportive fan base, Kesha had nowhere to go but back up. “Praying” off her new album Rainbow showcases the real Kesha without the novelty-image and auto-tune. If It Ain’t Me (feat. K. Michelle) — Trina
@ChargerBulletin
There is no better way to way to signal the release of the Miami MC Trina’s comeback album than with a kiss-off anthem to the guys than do nothing but play with her heart. Havana (feat. Young Thug) — Camila Cabello Now Fifth Harmony-free, Camila continues to search to find the solo hit single. This time she goes embraces her Cuban heritage with Havana, which matches healthy piano pop with Latin ballroom fusion. There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back — Shawn Mendes Shawn Mendes earns his fifth consecutive top 40 hit with his latest single There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back that is typical of his sound: a raspy voice over wicked airy guitar strings.

he University, with
the onset of fall semester, is welcoming the class of 2021 filled with students of various backgrounds and aspirations, who chose the University for a variety of reasons. Three incoming freshman, Jennifer Miller, Angelica-Marie Cea, and Daniel Molster, spoke with the Charger Bulletin about their experiences and expectations. Miller, who will be majoring in marine biology, explained that it was the marine biology program which initially drew her to the University, while Cea, also a marine biology major, attributed it to the location. “Funny thing is I only visited the school because it was near New York and I wanted credit for going to school
