Chapleau U15 Huskies Travel to OHF Championships for Second Straight Year By Gwen McKight resh off their win at the NOHA U15A Tournament of Champions the Chapleau Huskies headed to London to represent the Northern Ontario Hockey Association at the Ontario Hockey Federation Championships April 21st – 23rd. Thanks to the efforts of a group of parent volunteers and the generosity of so many businesses and individuals in Chapleau the Huskies were able to travel in style aboard a coach bus for their trip to London! Spirits were high even though departure time was set for 4am as the Huskies and their parents climbed aboard to begin their journey. First on the agenda was the OHF Banquet which was something the team from last year did not get to experience. Held at Somerville House in the Great Hall on the campus of Western University the team sat with their coaches and the other four teams who won entry into the tournament. One player observed that it was like being in a Harry Potter movie with all the tables in rows and the massive oil painting portraits of former professors on the walls! The Huskies would have to be at the rink for 10:45 the next morning for their first game against division rivals the Nickel City Sons so it was back to the hotel for a good night's rest after the dinner.
