FormationPlus, is much more than a center offering literacy and basic education programs

irst, FormationPlus is a member of the “Alliance des francophones engagés de Chapleau” (AFEC), a coalition of Frenchspeaking organizations aimed at coordinating common activities and strengthening community ties through French-language events and gatherings. Regarding their contribution to improving the well-being of Chapleau's Francophone community, here are some reasons why FormationPlus deserves this recognition. Since November 2014, as an active member of Carrefour santé Chapleau-Foleyet-Sultan, FormationPlus has shown continuous commitment to improving French-language health services in the region. Despite changes in leadership four times since 2014, they have maintained their involvement in the health center, ensuring continuity in their contributions and commitment to meeting the community's French-language health service needs. Responsive to community needs, Formation Plus has established partnerships and innovative projects. Upon recognizing the need and interest in French language training among Chapleau Health
Services staff, FormationPlus explored various options with RMEFNO. Inspired by the "Café de Paris" initiative, a language learning and maintenance approach developed in New Brunswick, FormationPlus worked closely with Chapleau Health Services to develop the "Osez s'aventurer en français / Dare to venture in French" program. This French language-training program is offer both at Chapleau Health Services and at their own center, adapting to the needs and work schedules of the personnel. By offering this language training program, the center identified other French language needs to address. With support from Chapleau Health Services, the center's staff offer additional initiatives. For instance, they provide individual support to a long-term care resident at Residence Bignucolo who expressed a desire to maintain her French language skills in grammar and reading. FormationPlus also supports Sacred-Heart Church in their weekly religious services at the residence by providing music and songs, demonstrating their commitment to the spiritual well-being of longterm care residents. The center also collaborates with Club
Maria Chapdelaine in Chapleau, a club for elderly francophone, by offering a course on using iPads. This course provides tools for staying connected and independent, promoting social inclusion, and breaking the social isolation of elderly francophone in Chapleau. In conclusion, FormationPlus embodies the values of partnership, community engagement, and innovation towards the well-being of the francophone community, going beyond their mandate as a French adult education center.

Membre actif du Carrefour santé ChapleauFoleyet-Sultan depuis novembre 2014, FormationPlus a démontré un engagement continu envers l'amélioration des services de santé en français de la région. Malgré le changement du personnel de direction quatre fois depuis 2014, il y eu un maintien de leur implication au sein du Carrefour santé, assurant ainsi une continuité de leur contribution et engagement pour répondre aux besoins de services de santé en français. Étant à l'écoute des besoins de la communauté, cet organisme a mis en place des partenariats et des projets novateurs.
Ayant pris connaissance du besoin et d'un intérêt de formation linguistique en français par le personnel des Services de santé de Chapleau, le Centre a exploré diverses options avec le RMEFNO. S'inspirant de l'initiative « Café de Paris », une approche d'apprentissage et de maintien du français développé au Nouveau-Brunswick, il a travaillé en étroite collaboration avec les Services de santé de Chapleau pour développer le programme « Osez s'aventurer en français / Dare to venture en français ». Ce programme de formation linguistique en français est offert tant sur les lieux des Services de santé de Chapleau que dans leur propre centre, s'adaptant ainsi aux besoins du personnel et de leurs horaires de travail.
