fish tails with your fellow anglers. A reminder… There is no fishing or drilling of holes in the week prior to the Derby! This year, you may not fish or drill holes on the Chapleau River or Mulligan's Bay from February 4th onwards if you intend on participating in this year's derby. There are a few changes to this year's derby. For those who have fished at the Wawa derby, some of these changes will be familiar to you. You must sign on and off the ice on the sheets that will be posted at the entrance of the weigh-in station. Rather than sticks to mark holes as we have done in the past, you will be picking up flags at registration. These flags will feature your ticket number and must be placed next to your active fishing hole, or on your hut if you are fishing inside an ice hut. Along with your flags, you will be given a card with your ticket number on it. Before heading out to your fishing spot and drilling holes, you must come to the weigh-in station and hand over your card and we will sign you on the ice so you can head out quickly and get started. If you are several in your party, one party member may bring all the cards in for your party. Once you are done fishing, you will return to the weigh-in station, return your flags and sign yourself off the ice. Your flags, once returned, will be entered in a draw for a prize. This is to ensure that all anglers are off the ice safely and that no one is stranded at the end of the derby. There is no meal at the arena following
