Emma Morrison to compete in the Miss World Canada Pageant

E

mma Morrison announced that she is competing in the Miss World Canada 2022 Pageant that's taking place this November in Toronto. According to her post on Facebook, she is very excited about this opportunity because she has been wanting to compete in Miss World - Canada for quite sometime now due to the organization's strong values on community involvement and social activism. Being an Indigenous Kwe, Emma believes that representation is so important. Competing at Miss World Canada as an Indigenous woman gives her a chance to represent First Nations peoples here in Canada, which is an honour within itself. For the past few months, she has been on a reconnecting journey to reintroduce herself back to the pageant spotlight. Emma Morrison is not a stranger to the pageant world. She entered her first pageant- Miss North Ontario Regional Canada- in 2017, and she was crowned that years Miss North Ontario. Morrison earned the Miss Northern Ontario title in May 2017. She used her winnings from that event to enter the national competition in Toronto, where she competed against fifty contestants from across Canada. An online voting process helped select the top twenty finalists for the evening's competition. Her determination and hard work have paid off. The 17-year-old from Chapleau Cree First Nation ended up Miss Teenage Canada. At the time Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Deputy Grand Chief Anna Betty Achneepineskum, on behalf of the Executive Council, congratulated 17-year-old Chapleau Cree First Nation member Emma Morrison, who was crowned Miss Teenage Canada over the weekend: “We congratulate this remarkable young woman for her accomplishments, and her family and community for encouraging and supporting her at every step along the way. It is encouraging to see youth like Emma achieve goals that they and their communities can be proud of. We strongly support and encourage all NAN youth to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. In addition to a career in nursing, Emma's goal in life is to help others shine; to have the Long Term confidence to be themselves and show who they are. Forecast Earning this national title is an excellent example for Thursday High 20 other young people: that great things can happen Low 8 when you aim high and work hard.” Friday Please feel free to follow her official page High 22 Emma Morrison for Miss World Canada 2022 to stay Low 13 updated on any up coming posts, events, and fundraisers.
