? WHAT IS THE CHAPELHILL CHURCH EXISTS TO LEAD PEOPLE INTO A GROWING RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.
We do that by being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did.
A key part of this mission is helping people discover their God-given gifts and empowering them to use those gifts on the Dream Team to serve with purpose and advance the Kingdom of God.
The Dream Team consists of remarkable individuals who have identified their unique gifts and passions and are actively using in service. Whether it’s creating a welcoming atmosphere as part of our Cafe, Greeter, Parking, or Host Teams, leading the next generation toward Jesus through Chapelhill Kids or Chapelhill Youth, supporting others in their spiritual journey through prayer, providing transportation to foster God-centered community, or enhancing the worship experience with the Production and Worship Teams, we work as one family. Together, we continually advance the Kingdom of God with dedication and purpose.
HOW DO I JOIN THE DREAM TEAM?
Take the next step in joining the Dream Team by signing up for Growth Track. Growth Track is a 3-week class designed to help you connect to the life of our church from learning more about the culture and values of Chapelhill to discovering and fulfilling your God-given purpose. Growth Track takes place the first, second, and third Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m. To register, visit www.chapelhill.cc/nextsteps.
DREAM TEAM expectations
Check in at Dream Team Central Dream Team Central is a room just for Dream Teamers. When you are serving, make it your first stop to check in, grab your lanyard, and connect with other team members. Refreshments are provided for those who are serving. (Have kids? See below.)
Dream Team Kids
For Dream Teamers with children, we provide an optional experience for preschoolers (ages 3–5) and elementary students (grades K–5). They’ll enjoy their own snacks and drinks in a fun and welcoming environment just for them!
Join a Dream Team Huddle
Dream Teamers are encouraged to join one of the three huddle times: 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. (30 minutes before each service). These 7-minute huddles set the tone for our day and are a great opportunity for encouragement and prayer. The 8:00 a.m. huddle takes place in the Worship Auditorium, while the 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. huddles are held in Dream Team Central.
Sit One, Serve One
As Dream Teamers, we lead by example by attending one service to worship and grow, and serving during another. This helps us stay spiritually refreshed and engaged in our walk with Jesus.
Respond to Scheduling Requests
To ensure every service runs smoothly, we ask all Dream Teamers to confirm their scheduling requests in Planning Center as soon as possible. Your prompt response helps us plan effectively and provide the best experience for all people.
Dream Team Shuttle
To create more parking space for our guests, we kindly ask all Dream Team members to use the shuttle service. Upon arrival, please park at Chapel Hill High School, and the shuttle will transport you to and from the church.
The shuttle will be available from 7:15 a.m.– 1:30 p.m. every Sunday. If the ministry you serve in requires you to arrive earlier than 7:15 a.m. or leave later than 1:30 p.m., please park at the former Chapelhill Counseling Center.
Dream Team Personal Appearance Dress Standard
We who have the privilege of serving at Chapelhill Church also have the responsibility of setting the example in leadership, which includes our dress. Since we are observed more closely than others are, we set a standard of excellence in personal appearance. Dream Team’s appearance reflects not only the individual but also our church. Dream Teamers should dress as to achieve a positive image when representing both Chapelhill and the Lord. Our dress standard is more polished than casual wear, and gives a clean, casual, and trendy appearance.
Men
• Always be well groomed, clean and neat
• Collared shirts, sweaters, quality crew necks, or ¼ zip are preferred
• Clothing should be wrinkle free
Women

• Modesty is the guiding principle for women's dress

Unacceptable dress includes:

LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE
Each ministry within the Dream Team follows a leadership structure: Director > Coach > Captain(s) > Team Member. Every Dream Team Leader is here to serve and equip you to make a difference in the lives of others.
What is a Director?
Directors are pastors or staff leaders who oversee the ministry department.
What is a Coach?
Each ministry is lead by a Coach who uphold Chapelhill’s culture and values and ensures new team members are trained and onboarded effectively. Coaches also lead the Captains of their specific ministry.
What is a Captain?
A Captain oversees a specific service within their ministry (i.e. 8:30 a.m. Captain, 10:00 a.m. Captain, 11:30 a.m. Captain). They ensure their team is scheduled and well cared for. They play a key role in supporting the team and maintaining excellence during their service
What is a Team Member?
It’s you! Every member of the Dream Team is a vital part of the great work God is doing at Chapelhill. We all belong to the body of Christ, and each of us has a unique role to play.

We desire to maintain a profound respect for the role of leadership and have created this Honor Code to enable us all to preserve the standard in which God has called us to as followers of Him.
As servant leaders at Chapelhill Church, we are called to cultivate and demonstrate mature Christian behavior. This should form the foundation of your desire to serve in a leadership role here. In our service to the Body of Christ and the community, we must aim to uphold Biblical standards in every situation. Our conduct as Christians is crucial, as it profoundly influences how others perceive Christ.
Exemplifying the highest moral commitment, leaders at Chapelhill Church are to maintain a disciplined life of personal devotion in reading God’s Word, prayer, fasting, and faithful attendance in weekend services. You must also refrain from such things as:
• Drunkeness (Ephesians 5:18)
• Dishonest gain (Proverbs 28:20, Proverbs 11:1, Proverbs 13:11)
• Illegal Drugs (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
• Posting to social media things that would reflect negatively on the church, on others, and/or on you as a leader (1 Thessalonians 5:22)
• Pornography (Colossians 3:5, Ephesians 5:3, 1 John 2:16)
• Sexual Immorality (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, 1 Corinthians 6:18)
• All behaviors which might cause Christ to grieve, and others to stumble (1 Corinthians 8:13)
If certain principles are dishonored, it is crucial to engage in a discussion regarding the necessary steps for progressing in leadership. The goal isn’t shame. The goal is grace. The end goal isn’t removal. The end goal is restoration.
The weight and responsibility that leadership holds within our community makes the moral commitment of each leader so vital within the Chapelhill Church family. We should regard it as an essential part of our development, not as an imposition or restriction. By example, we lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
ABUSE POLICY
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I understand that Chapelhill is a safe place for children and vulnerable adults and that Chapelhill complies with all Federal and State laws regarding reporting suspected child abuse.
As a Dream Team member, I understand that suspected abuse is to be reported to the staff director or pastor who oversees the area in which I serve. I also understand the four types of abuse defined below:
• Physical: A physical act directed at a child or vulnerable adult that causes injury.
• Sexual: Contact or interactions between a child and an adult, or another child, when the child is being used for sexual stimulation of the perpetrator or another person. This includes exploitation through photographs, videos, or other communication methods.
• Emotional: Acts or omissions by the parent or other caregivers that have caused, or could cause, serious behavioral, cognitive, emotional, or mental disorders.
• Neglect: Failure to provide for the child or vulnerable adult’s basic needs. This includes adequate adult supervision, medical attention, housing, food, and clothing. Most cases of physical neglect involve adult supervision that has caused harm to the child or vulnerable adult, or places them in danger of such harm.
I understand it is not my responsibility to investigate and in no instance will I confront a parent or care giver if abuse is suspected. As a Dream Team member, I agree to comply with this policy and report any suspected abuse to the staff person who oversees the area in which I serve.
