Practice Profile: Small practice in Leeds with mixed-use, residential and masterplan projects
Year: Sept 2017 - Sept 2018
Project Types: Visualisations, Masterplan, Residential
Location: Leeds, UK
During my year at Nick Brown Architects, I gained hands-on experience in all stages of residential design, from feasibility studies to construction detailing and site visits, while honing my skills in producing visual materials for client communication.
I was involved in the redevelopment of a property on Ling Lane, where an existing five-bedroom, 460sqm house was replaced with a new 733sqm two-story residence. I created detailed visual representations of the house in Photoshop to help clients better understand the design. I also provided construction details for the contractor, prepared design documents and monitored site progress.

Project Information: Master’s Project, self written brief
Year: Sept 2019 - July 2020
Program: Mental and physical well-being, Healthcare
Location: Cardross, Scotland
Antidepressants are widely over-prescribed in the UK, while psychedelic treatments, shown to help with depression, OCD, and addiction, remain underused due to stigma and legal barriers.
This project explores the potential for psychedelic therapy by designing spaces that enhance experiential and sensory qualities, creating an architectural environment suited to pre-, inter-, and post-treatment stages. St. Peter’s Seminary, with its spiritual and rehabilitation history, offers an ideal setting for this therapeutic innovation.
I propose repurposing St. Peter’s Seminary into a center for psychedelic-assisted therapy. The design will use the building’s existing structure to create sensory-focused, healing spaces that support safe psychedelic treatments and reflect the seminary’s legacy as a space for recovery and spirituality.
