A Message From Dr. Guerra

Dear Chaminade Families,

Greetings from a quieter campus, and I hope this note ﬁnds your family well into the rhythms of summer. Whether you are traveling, gathered close to home, or somewhere in between, I hope this season is giving you what summers are meant to give: rest, time with the people you love, and room to breathe.

With the first day of school still a little over a month away, I wanted to be among the first to welcome you to the 2026-2027 academic year. Our annual back-to-school newsletter follows, and I encourage you to spend a few minutes with it. It contains the dates, deadlines, and details that will help you and your student step into August with confidence.

I am genuinely excited for the year ahead. There is something special about a Chaminade fall, and I cannot wait to see our students and families back on campus.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

FRESHMEN CLASS OF 2030

Monday, August 10 | 8:30 am - 2:15 pm

• All 9th graders should arrive between 8:00 am - 8:25 am and meet in the Gym.

• Students should be in full uniform, including a Chaminade Polo shirt, but do not need laptop or school supplies.

• Lunch will be provided.

Tuesday, August 11 | 8:30 am -10:30 am

• All 9th graders should arrive between 8:00 am - 8:25 am and meet in the Tutor Center for the Performing Arts.

• Students need to be in full uniform, including a Chaminade polo shirt, but do not need laptop or school supplies.

• ID & yearbook photos will be taken.

9th graders who have not yet picked up their laptop must attend one of the following mandatory distribution sessions: Monday, August 10 at 2:30 pm or Tuesday, August 11 at 10:40 am.

TRANSFER STUDENTS

Monday, August 10 | 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

• All students should arrive between 8:00 am - 8:25 am and check in at the Tutor Center for the Performing Arts.

• Students should be in full uniform.

• Students will receive their laptop.

• Lunch will be provided.

• Laptop distribution: Transfer students will attend laptop distribution and training. Those who already have their laptop may leave at 12:40 pm.

Tuesday, August 11

Sophomore Class of 2029: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Junior Class of 2028: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Senior Class of 2027: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

• Meet in the Tutor Center for the Performing Arts to attend a grade speciﬁc meeting.

• All students should arrive in full uniform, including a Chaminade polo shirt, but do not need school supplies.

• ID and yearbook photos will be taken.

ORIENTATION

Tuesday, August 11

All Returning 10th, 11th & 12th Grade Students

SENIOR CLASS OF 2027

Meet in the Tutor Center.

All students should arrive between 10:30 am - 10:55 pm, in full uniform, including a Chaminade polo shirt.

ID photos will be taken. Seniors will not be allowed to leave campus early on Day 1’s without a current 2026-2027 school ID.

JUNIOR CLASS OF 2028

11:00 am - 12:15 pm 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Meet in the Tutor Center. All students should arrive between 11:30 am - 11:55pm, in full uniform, including a Chaminade polo shirt.

SOPHMORE CLASS OF 2029

Meet in the Tutor Center. All students should arrive between 12:30 pm - 12:55 pm, in full uniform, including a Chaminade polo shirt.

All Students are required to wear their uniform to Orientation, including a Chaminade polo shirt for school photos.

LAPTOP DISTRIBUTION

new technologies and software to prepare them for the fall term. Students must remain for the entire time they select for their training. Parents and siblings may not attend the session on behalf of their student.

Students can attend the laptop training by selecting one of the times in the link below. Note the second and third dates will take place immediately following the freshmen orientation days. If students select one of these option, they should plan to stay the additional 90 minutes after the posted times of their orientation.

Students will report to the Chaminade Tech Hub (Room 310) during their selected time. If a student received a computer from taking a 9th grade summer class, they do not need to sign up.

SIGN UP FOR A TRAINING SESSION

All 10th, 11th, and 12th grade transfer students will receive laptops and go through a training session on Monday, August 10 as part of their Orientation. These students do not need to register for a training.

YEARBOOK PORTRAITS

Tuesday, August 11

All students will have school ID and yearbook portraits taken on Tuesday, August 11. Please see Orientation schedule for grade-speciﬁc times to be on campus. All students must be in uniform.

Seniors who want to leave campus for lunch on odd days, which is a senior privilege, must be at Orientation to get their ID for the 2026-2027 school year. Students will not be allowed to leave campus with last year's ID card.

We are pleased to share that the 2027 Aerie is once again included in tuition and will be distributed to every student in May 2027.

Class of 2027 Baby Pictures

Each year, the Aerie Yearbook features a baby photo of every graduating senior, accompanied by a heartfelt message from their proud family. This message is an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and express love and support as they prepare to graduate. This space is offered as a complimentary courtesy to all families.

To participate, please click on the button above to access the Google form. Complete all required questions and upload a high-quality color or black-and-white baby photo.

Only one photo and dedication message may be submitted per student. We kindly ask that multi-household families collaborate to submit a single entry.

ALL PHOTOS AND DEDICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 AT MIDNIGHT.
