The countdown is on for one of Washington County’s favorite traditions! Join the Washington County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, August 13, at Silver Wings Ballroom for our annual TAILGATE Party. It is an evening packed with community spirit, great food, and unforgettable fun. Whether you cheer for the Aggies, Longhorns, Blinn Buccaneers, Baylor Bears, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Houston Cougars, Brenham Cubs, Burton Panthers, or any other team, this is your chance to wear your colors proudly and kick off football season in style. Friendly rivalries, school pride, and community camaraderie make this one of the most anticipated events of the year. Bring your appetite because the menu is a tailgate lover’s dream! Enjoy a delicious spread of game-day favorites, along with beer, wine, soft drinks, and, of course, the perfect dessert, Blue Bell Ice Cream. The evening will feature live music, networking, exciting auction packages, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with friends while meeting new faces
from across Washington County. One of the night’s biggest highlights is the annual Spirit Stick Competition, where table sponsors compete for bragging rights with creative, over-the-top decorations that showcase their favorite teams. Reserved tables, sponsorships, and individual tickets are available now. Individual tickets are just $50 and include all food, beverages, entertainment, and activities. TAILGATE is one of the Chamber’s premier annual fundraisers, with proceeds supporting programs, events, and initiatives that strengthen local businesses and enhance the economic vitality of Washington County. While hosted by the Chamber, this event is truly for the entire community. Chamber membership is not required. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration.
