AARON MALCZEWSKI, AGENCY ADMINISTRATOR
This month marks a special milestone for me as I wrap up my ninth year with CESA 7, while also completing my first year as your Agency Administrator Stepping into this role has been an incredible journey, and I am very humbled and remain excited to serve our regional school districts and teams in this capacity. Over nearly a decade here, my guiding philosophy has always been to act as a servant leader focusing on building strong relationships, fostering a collaborative culture, and putting structures in place that help the people around me succeed
My commitment to supporting schools stems from a long history on the ground in K-12 education. Before transitioning to CESA 7, I spent years working directly in schools as a Physical Education and Health teacher, coach, Dean of Students, Associate Principal, and building Principal Immediately before coming to CESA 7, I served as the Superintendent for the Oconto Unified School District, where I focused on aligning resources to support student achievement and on bringing staff and community members together to pass critical capital funding referendums Seeing firsthand the complex challenges local districts face drives the work I do today
Since joining the CESA 7 team in 2017, my focus has been on designing and implementing practical systems that directly resolve workforce and operational pressures for our schools.
One of my most rewarding professional experiences has been leading the early restructuring of our Teacher Development Center (TDC) Through the collective work of our team, we transformed it into a thriving educator preparation program Today, the TDC serves nearly 100 scholars across our 11 licensing pathways and has successfully licensed more than 1,500 new substitute teachers, providing a vital lifeline to districts facing severe staffing shortages.
Over the years, I have also had the privilege of stepping onto state and national stages, including conferences, to present on leadership dynamics and district governance These were excellent opportunities to share some of the excellent work we are doing at CESA 7 with those across the state and the country.
Outside of my professional roles, my family is my top priority, and I love spending my free time traveling with them To unwind and recharge, I also enjoy exploring the outdoors, listening to mu and keeping up with sports. Additionally, a large part of my heart belongs to community service; have been a 30-year volunteer at Camp Onaway through the Boys & Girls Brigade of Neenah/ Menasha, an organization that means a great deal to me
