HISTORICAL TRENDS VERSES NOW In the latest Farming Update released in April 2025, there was significant discussion around rainfall and temperature variations, compared with previous years. Of relevance now, is the Spring season. March saw very little rain compared to previous years. If we look at England as a whole, total rainfall in March was 84% lower than this time last year, and 76% lower than the 25-year average (Figure 1).
