Court rules on seawall at The Entrance North The Land and Environment Court has ruled that a seawall at 1-13 Hutton Rd, The Entrance North, can be approved subject to conditions that are still to be agreed upon. The Commissioner has ruled the applicant Horton Coastal Engineering Pty Ltd and Central Coast Council have to agree on conditions of consent by July 31 and come back to court on August 4 for final orders to be made. The Commissioner’s publicly available judgement sums up the expert witnesses from both sides. Both sides agree that without coastal protection works being carried out, it is almost certain that some of the dwellings on the site will eventually be undermined by erosion and recession, and catastrophically damaged. “As there is no offer of retreat with
