$41M for Gosford waterfront Premier Chris Minns was on the Central Coast on Friday, June 12, to make a major announcement on the revitalisation of Gosford waterfront ahead of the State Budget, which will be handed down on June 23. Mr Minns pledged $41M, with the first stage of the revitalisation to be a one kilometre, 4.5m boardwalk connecting Point Clare to Gosford. The boardwalk will be adjacent to the existing railway line over Brisbane Water, providing a link to the waterfront for walkers and cyclists. Prior to the 2023 election, the Government committed $8.5M to conduct feasibility studies on how to best revitalise Gosford’s waterfront to

enhance public space and improve connectivity. With preliminary planning now complete, work begins to unlock the potential for Gosford’s long overlooked waterfront. “This is an important investment to link (the Gosford waterfront) with the Peninsula,” Mr Minns said. “This is crucial in demonstrating the Government is going to get on with it.” The boardwalk is planned to connect Goodaywang Reserve in Point Clare to Grahame Park, connecting into an enhanced public domain along the waterfront from Grahame Park to the Gosford Scout Hall, with additional works to include a new waterfront café.
