Three Labor councillors have signed a rescission motion to try to reverse a May 5 decision which killed off council meetings at Gosford. At the May 5 meeting, councillors voted to hold only one meeting at Gosford Regional Library per calendar year, after having previously resolved to hold five ordinary council meetings per year there. Councillors Margot Castles, Sharon Walsh and Belinda Neal have submitted the rescission motion, which will be debated at the May 26 meeting – now changed to be held at Wyong.

If the rescission motion had been submitted during the meeting when the decision was made to cancel Gosford meetings, Council could not have acted on the motion and moved the May meeting to Wyong. Councillor Margot Castles said they submitted the rescission motion just after the close of the May 5 meeting. She said the decision to remove meetings from Gosford flies in the face of good decision-making since it was based on the holding of only one meeting at Gosford Regional Library on March 24.
