Titled “Save our beaches by advancing offshore sand nourishment and imposing a moratorium on new seawalls”, the petition will run for a three-week period until May 22. Cr Lamont said the petition reflected

widespread frustration in the community. “For too long, communities have been raising serious concerns about the impact of seawalls on our beaches, and they feel like they’re not being heard,” Cr Lamont said. “This petition is about asking the State Government to step in and take a leadership role, not just for Wamberal, but for beaches right along the NSW coastline.”
