THREADS SURPASSES X IN DAILY USERS
This week, Meta's Threads officially surpassed X (formerly Twitter) in daily mobile users, and marketers are still figuring out how to respond. According to eMarketer, Threads users are projected to grow nearly 20% in 2026, with the platform on track to surpass X in total U S users by 2027 But the bigger challenge isn't whether to show up on Threads, it's how. JUSTIN BIEBER RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT FOR “BIEBERCHELLA” 2026
After nearly four years away from major performances, Justin Bieber made his highly anticipated return to the Coachella stage this past weekend, quickly turning the festival into what fans called “Bieberchella. ” His set stood out for its relaxed and intimate style, featuring a minimal setup with just a MacBook and a stripped-down performance that felt different from the usual high-production festival shows While some praised the creative and personal approach, others were surprised by how unconventional the performance felt, making Bieber one of the biggest pop culture conversations of Coachella 2026

KEEPING UP WITH DR. CHAPA
Dr Chapa was incredibly proud to attend the CCI Student Awards and celebrate so many outstanding students, including Alessandra, Santiago, Melany, Sofia, Alba, and many others she has had the joy of teaching and mentoring through her classes and work at the Center. Seeing so many familiar faces recognized made the ceremony especially meaningful, and it was a special moment to pause and celebrate the hard work, talent, and dedication of our students and faculty.
As we get closer to the end of the semester and prepare for our upcoming trip to New York for the Hispanic Marketing Council conference, everything is getting very busy with finals, graduation week, and so many exciting things ahead Even so, this ceremony was such a lovely little break and a reminder of why this work matters so much. Dr. Chapa had a wonderful time sharing that moment with students and faculty, and she left feeling so proud, grateful, and excited for everything her students are accomplishing.
LATINAMERICAN CERAMICS
Fe en Arcilla: Santos Cruces y Altares
Mexican clay pottery is more than decoration it is a handmade tradition shaped by generations of artisans and influenced by both indigenous techniques and Spanish colonial styles. Pottery reflects daily life, especially through practical objects like vases, mugs, and cups that are used in kitchens, on tables, and in homes
A major theme of the piece is the connection between function and artistry For example, vases can serve as centerpieces or decorative accents, while mugs and cups bring color and craftsmanship to everyday routines like drinking coffee or sharing a meal. Famous traditions such as Talavera pottery, combines vibrant designs with deep cultural meaning
The work of artisans who preserve traditional methods while creating pieces that fit into modern homes is highly celebrated. Mexican ceramics remain an important part of Hispanic material culture by blending heritage, beauty, and practicality
