THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS:

With deep gratitude, thank you to Chris Stevens for curating such a bold and imaginative exhibition. And to our generous sponsors, Evergreen Clothing Company and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, thank you for making this exhibition possible. We couldn’t do all of the wonderful things we do at CAE without all of you!
Oh, the places you’ll go when you walk through our door. Where the clay and the glass and the paint that was poured Are wide-open spaces with skies brushed in blue, Where mountains rise up just waiting for you.
You’ll slip into forests where secrets are kept, Through quiet green groves where the tall grasses slept. You’ll tiptoe through canyons of shimmer and light, And sail silver seas on a calm, lonely night.
You’ll travel to planets far, far and away, Where cows jump the moon and dance while they play.
You’ll drift over deserts of amber and gold, Past temples with peace flags in colors untold.
You’ll wander through daydreams, memories, too… Places imagined by artists like you. Each brushstroke a doorway, each sculpture a key, Unlocking a world only one heart could see.
For though we all stand on one spinning Earth, We see it through stories we’ve carried since birth. Through different horizons, through different skies wide, Through different small corners where hopes like to hide.
But gather us close in a gallery room, Let colors and brushstrokes and bright visions bloom, And suddenly strangers begin to agree: “This sunset feels warm.” “That blue feels like me.”
On one big Earth turning beneath moon and sun, We travel in many directions—not one. Yet when art brings us someplace we all understand, We find common ground… and we stand hand in hand.
