Astudentingrades6-12mayearncreditforanacademicsubjectinwhichhe/shehashad nopriorinstruction Thestudentmustearnascoreof80%orhigheronaboard-approved examinationfortheapplicablecourse.Theschooldistrictmustentertheearnedscoreon thestudent’stranscript.Ifastudentsuccessfullyearnscreditandisbeingtakenfor accelerationpurposes,placementinanewcoursewillonlytakeplaceatthestartofthe schoolyear(orsemesterforsemestercourses)regardlessofwhentheexamistaken.A studentmaynotattempttoearncreditbyexaminationforaspecifichighschoolcourse morethantwotimes.AnycourseinwhichastudentearnsbyCBEwillnotbecountedin GPAcalculationnorawardedweightedcredit.Contactyourschoolcounselorformore information.
