Without a proper education, children’s chances of succeeding in life are severely limited. Those who are vulnerable, orphaned or living in poverty will face more barriers to education, keeping them in a life they deserve to break out of. Help us change a child’s life this Christmas.

Donate this Christmas to support a child through school Our 2023 Christmas Appeal will help us to work closely with schools to help improve the educational and social outcomes for vulnerable children and give them the best possible chance of a secure future. Funds from the Appeal will directly help children by providing essential learning materials, extra-curricular activities and lunches to ensure they are not hungry at school. We’ll work with the adults caring for them to improve their livelihoods and care for their children with the chance of better futures.

What we want to do We want to support 11 identified schools in the hard to reach Copperbelt region of Zambia, where the lack of resources are preventing children from learning. Children are turning up to empty school buildings with nothing to write on, no furniture to sit down and no safe way to get home. When children have already overcome so many barriers to education, simple classroom supplies should not prevent them from learning.

With your help, we’ll fill classrooms with desks for children to sit at, textbooks to learn from, and safety lights to walk with. Your donation could provide travel and lunch to make every school day safe and worthwhile. Will you help us tackle the last barrier to education this Christmas?

All of a child’s classroom resources, uniform, safety light, lunch for two weeks and transport for a month to help them travel up to 5km to school each day
How we’ll do it This year, the Big Give is helping us with match funding to support as many children as possible. All donations received between 28th Nov 5th Dec will be matched and your support will go twice as far.
