For a long time, the assumption in yacht sales has been that the more visible a yacht is, the more successful the outcome. List it publicly, maximise exposure, let the market decide.
Increasingly, that assumption no longer holds.
Many Owners today, both in sales and charter, are simply less inclined to have their yacht widely displayed online. Privacy matters more. And, as a result, a growing number of the most interesting yachts are not publicly listed at all. They are marketed quietly, peerto-peer, through trusted relationships rather than platforms. These yachts are “not publicly listed” not because something is wrong. Quite the opposite. They often represent some of the best opportunities available; well-maintained, sensibly positioned and available to those who know where to look. The difference is not the quality of the asset, but the approach to its exposure – an area where experience and long-standing relationships matter.
A quieter process can create better outcomes on both sides. Sellers retain privacy and control. Buyers avoid performative competition and engage with greater clarity. In many cases, the most productive conversations now begin long before a yacht formally comes to market.
For that reason, understanding what is circulating privately has become just as important as monitoring what is publicly visible. The open market tells part of the story. The rest happens more discreetly.
As ever, our aim is simple: to share what we’re seeing, highlight opportunities you may not find elsewhere and offer perspective to help you make informed decisions that are well-advised.
Our approach informs this newsletter. You’ll notice a refreshed layout, along with more content and useful market intelligence for both buyers and charterers. And for those opportunities that are not visible here, a conversation remains the most effective way to access them.
I do hope you enjoy it.

SALES
THE RISE OF THE “PRIVATE LISTING”
Discretion is the ultimate luxury. Private, non-published listings (what we refer to as “not publicly listed” or NPL) are increasingly the preferred route for seasoned Owners. In an era of digital overexposure, analogue expertise and personal introductions are delivering faster, quieter transactions.
PEDIGREE AS CURRENCY
Northern European builds remain the market’s gold standard. With shipyards like Lürssen and Feadship boasting deep order books, proven craftsmanship continues to outperform. In 2026, pedigree isn’t just about prestige; it is the primary driver of liquidity and long-term value retention.
CONFIDENCE AT SCALE
The top end of the market remains decisive. Well-positioned 60m+ pedigree builds are attracting rapid signatures, while the mid-size segment is seeing enhanced negotiating leverage.

THE REFIT ARBITRAGE
With new-build slots stretching into the late 2020s and beyond, savvy buyers are pivoting to major refits. This is no longer a compromise; it is a strategic play. Transforming a high-quality hull delivers new-build standards with a condensed timeline and total creative control. Speed to water is the new competitive edge.
THE NEXT GEN SHIFT
A younger, more nomadic buyer is rewriting the rulebook. For Gen XYZ, the yacht is a high-tech hub for connectivity, sustainability and immersive experiences. Design choices are shifting toward eco-conscious propulsion and “lifestyle-first” layouts, forcing brokerage strategies to evolve at the speed of the digital age.

Wonders of the impossible
Where others see boundaries, Cookson sees adventures.
From the deep ice of Antarctica to the canopy of the Borneo jungle, Cookson crafts adventures for those who demand that luxury be measured by the depth of discovery. Every journey is handcrafted, every destination a stage and every moment crafted around you.
A one-off glass igloo camp in Iceland beneath the northern lights: frozen lake, glacier views, sauna, hot tub, ice bar and cold plunge.
Forged on ice caps, in dense jungles and across scorched deserts, Cookson’s pedigree is rooted in innovation. This isn’t the traditional luxury market; this is exploration taken to the edge of the map.
Whether you are uncovering an ancient Roman shipwreck via private submersible, rehoming giant tortoises in the Galápagos, or camping beneath the aurora in the high latitudes of Norway, the underlying philosophy remains absolute: nothing is impossible.
This isn’t travel, it’s the curation of the unimaginable. Nothing is impossible.
These are itinerary-led journeys where wonder and luxury are engineered in equal measure. Imagine waking in a custom hanging camp suspended above the Borneo canopy or witnessing a total solar eclipse from a private vantage point at the edge of a fjord in Greenland. In Africa, Cookson bypasses the predictable safari itinerary, utilising heli-access to reach secluded waterholes and private conservancies. These are bespoke encounters with tribal communities and leading conservation scientists that offer a profound blend of adrenaline and meaningful legacy.
In the Cookson lexicon, “remote” never means “rough”. Its experts have mastered the alchemy of bringing whiteglove service to the absolute corners of the globe. Their bespoke mobile camps feature silver-service dining beneath starlit skies, campaign-era furnishings and intuitive butler support that anticipates every whim. Cookson offers an environment where the raw power of nature and the pinnacle of refinement coexist in perfect, silent harmony.
For those whose curiosity extends beneath the waterline, Cookson has pioneered world-first platforms. Private submersible dives in Antarctica, once the sole domain of researchers, are now accessible for private family expeditions, for instance. By blending Cecil Wright’s extraordinary charter fleet with Cookson’s global network of regional specialists, the world’s most secluded archipelagos become your private playground.
Every trip is personalised from the ground up, ensuring that whether you are sailing into the South Pacific or exploring the Norwegian fjords, you are experiencing the world at its most extraordinary. Delivered directly from the decks of the finest superyachts, these adventures are created in partnership with Cecil Wright and our adventure partner, Cookson Adventures, transforming world travel into a truly personal masterpiece.

CONTIGO BEACH CLUB BLISS
The narrative of luxury charter is shifting. Guests are abandoning traditional vessels for superyachts that function as floating beach houses.
The rise of the beach club is the defining shift in modern yacht design. More than a swim platform, it is the social heartbeat of the vessel and the nexus for connection, dining and play.
An architectural masterclass in “Ocean Lounge” living, CONTIGO embodies this evolution. Formerly named ALMAX, the 50-metre Sanlorenzo 50Steel, was crafted specifically for charterers who prioritise lifestyle at anchor. The experience revolves around her signature Ocean Lounge, a vast water-level beach club that transforms the stern into a multi-functional, open-air living space. Life onboard naturally gravitates to here. From the first swim of the morning to sunset cocktails, the space is a magnet for activity.
A beach club is no longer an add-on; it is the experience itself.
At anchor, the aft terraces undergo a striking, Bond-like transformation, folding seamlessly down to expand the footprint of the Ocean Lounge. The result is a generous, uninterrupted platform providing direct access to the sea, panoramic views and a profound connection to the surrounding environment. Sun loungers give way to watersports, casual lunches evolve into afternoon swims, and as daylight fades, the space re-energises once more, effortlessly shifting to alfresco dining or an outdoor cinema experience beneath the stars.
This seamless day-to-night versatility defines the perfect beach club: scale, flexibility and atmosphere. CONTIGO delivers all three with confidence, making her arguably the most complete beach club-led charter yacht in her class.
Completing the experience is CONTIGO’s 55HT Wajer chase boat, an essential part of the experience. Fast, refined and highly capable, it opens up shallow coves, secluded beaches and spontaneous coastal escapes beyond the reach of the mothership. For guests, this provides spontaneity and access to wider experience and cultures.
Visually, CONTIGO is a masterclass in chic contemporary design. The clean, confident exterior lines and expansive windows flood the interior with natural light. Inside, the aesthetic is contemporary “Zen-Luxe”. Curated by Lissoni & Partners, it’s a calm, refined aesthetic, blending dark woods with subtle Japanese-inspired detailing.
Beyond the beach club, every space prioritises the indoor-outdoor ethos. Expansive decks invite long, unhurried days, with generous lounging areas and two striking pools offering multiple ways to enjoy time connected to the rhythm of a charter lifestyle.
Crucially, CONTIGO also reflects the growing demand for quieter, more responsible luxury. Her world-first green fuel cell system allows guests to enjoy time at anchor with dramatically reduced noise and emissions, enhancing the serenity of the beach club experience without compromising performance or comfort.
Chic, experiential and unmistakably modern, CONTIGO sets a new benchmark for the next generation of charterers.

ART EXPERIENCE
KISMET IS NOT MEASURED IN MOMENTS, SHE IS DEFINED BY MOVEMENT.
This 122-metre Lürssen, crowned World Superyacht of the Year 2025 at the World Superyacht Awards, is more like a private world than a vessel — choreographed activity of choice, energy and indulgence, where every hour pivots to a new experience.
Morning begins with competitive motion. As the sea settles, the helipad transforms into a pickleball court. One moment you are mid-rally; the next you are cooling off in the glass-bottomed pool or retreating to the sanctuary of the spa. There is no transition, only flow.
Nothing is scheduled, yet everything is possible.
Wellness here is a primary destination. The Balineseinspired spa is a holistic ecosystem featuring a hammam, sauna, cryotherapy chamber and a gym, along with yoga studio that opens directly to the waterline. In the spa, guests move between fire and ice, guided by crew who understand rhythm as well as service. It is a space designed for guests to lose track of time. Even the stone floors are part of the ritual — meticulously laid pebbles offering subtle foot reflexology as you transition from space to space.
By midday, the focus shifts to the water. The beach club serves as a launchpad for high-octane activities. SeaBobs vanish beneath the surface, Jet Skis skim the horizon, divers and snorkellers drift quietly through reefs, while others choose to paddleboard, windsurf or simply float on the water’s surface. Four custom tenders stand ready, stocked and crewed, whether for a beach barbecue, a quiet anchorage or an afternoon of discovery. Every toy is prepped, every whim is anticipated.
Afternoons offer a change of pace. Retreat to the triple-height atrium for quiet reflection or settle into the tiered cinema for a private screening. For the ultimate “hush luxury” experience, the dedicated beauty salon and treatment rooms offer pre-sunset refinement.
On KISMET, the luxury of doing nothing is as carefully curated as the adventure itself.
As twilight nears, the yacht’s atmosphere recalibrates. Dining becomes theatre, whether it’s an informal fire-pit barbecue on the pool deck or a Michelin-level gala in the formal salon. Post-dinner, the mood ignites, the DJ deck and disco offer a nightclub pulse, while the upper decks remain a sanctuary of stillness beneath the stars.
A nightclub pulse at sea — or stillness under the stars.
The magic of KISMET lies in this seamless adaptability. It is an ecosystem that evolves with every impulse, a world where nothing is scheduled, yet everything is possible.

THERE ARE RALLIES, AND THEN THERE IS THE SAFARI.
Eight days and more than 2,000 competitive kilometres across Kenya’s plains, navigating river crossings, dust, heat and open horizons. For those who step off the plane in Nairobi, the adventure begins before the engine fires. “Africa gets under your skin,” says Richard Tuthill, Director of Tuthill. “There’s something very special about the people, the colours, the vibrancy.”
The Tuthill Safari Rally is part of Richard’s own history. His father first competed in 1981; Richard travelled to Kenya as a child to support him, and later drove the event himself during its World Rally Championship era. Today, from Tuthill’s Oxfordshire headquarters, he oversees the familyrun engineering firm behind these rally programmes — an operation that spans bespoke Porsche builds and some of the most ambitious historic rallies in the world.
“We run more cars than anyone else in Kenya,” he says. In recent years, that has meant 22 rally cars, supported by dozens of service vehicles, engineers, doctors and logistics crew. It’s a scale that transforms what might appear extreme into something tightly controlled.
Yet the appeal is not purely mechanical. Richard speaks of a stillness that descends when a rally car door shuts. “You have one mission,” he says. “You don’t worry about emails or what’s happening in the world. You just get from A to B.” That singular focus is part of the draw.
The Safari is competitive, but it is also immersive. Drivers navigate long gravel stages where visibility can stretch for miles, then confront sudden hazards — river crossings, livestock, broken trucks lumbering along improbable roads. “Nothing compares to driving a car through Africa,” Richard says.
Preparation varies. Some arrive with experience, others with little more than resolve. Physical fitness matters, as does mental stamina. Long days in the heat test concentration, and co-driver relationships can be as demanding as the terrain itself.
Richard’s role, as he describes it, is that of a conductor. The team manages every element outside the cockpit — a full arrive-and-drive package — allowing drivers to focus on the road ahead.
Ice driving in Sweden often provides the first step.
“You learn more about driving on a frozen lake in one day than you would in a year at Silverstone,” he says. It is “controlled chaos”, where mistakes end in soft snowbanks and lessons are absorbed quickly. From there, drivers progress to smaller rallies and ultimately to Kenya.
YOU HAVE ONE MISSION. YOU DON’T WORRY ABOUT EMAILS OR WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE WORLD. YOU JUST GET FROM A TO B.
RICHARD TUTHILL
The support operation has become part of the legend. Richard recalls an engine change completed in 13 minutes on the edge of the African bush, a feat of coordination that kept a leading car in contention. Stories like that linger long after the dust settles, he says.
And then there is what happens afterwards. “Post rally depression,” he says with a laugh. Participants return home with photographs and stories few can fully grasp. The shared intensity forges unlikely friendships — New York financiers alongside Norwegian entrepreneurs — bound by WhatsApp groups and memories of African stages.
For yacht Owners accustomed to commissioning vessels and charting remote waters, the parallel is obvious. This is a discretionary, experience-led adventure: complex, rarefied and designed for those who measure experience differently. “It’s almost something you can’t buy,” Richard reflects. “But it’s something I would spend the same money on tomorrow to experience again.”
SPACES ARE LIMITED. TO EXPERIENCE THE SAFARI RALLY — OR BEGIN WITH ICE DRIVING IN SWEDEN — VISIT: TUTHILL.UK

HANDMADE IN MAYFAIR
From New Bond Street, Swaine continues to craft leather goods, umbrellas and hats under one roof, offering a rare continuity of British workmanship for a global clientele.
ON NEW BOND
STREET, WHERE STOREFRONTS ARE ROUTINELY REFITTED AND BRANDS REINVENT THEMSELVES EVERY SEASON, SWAINE REMAINS ROOTED IN THE ACT OF MAKING.
Behind its Mayfair façade, the tools and rhythms of handcraft continue much as they always have: leather is cut and stitched, edges are burnished and hats shaped — all within the same townhouse where clients come to commission and collect. Here, time is measured in hours at the bench, not product cycles.
The company traces its origins to the mid-18th century, when it established itself as a maker of riding equipment: whips, saddles and boots for a Britain organised around the horse. That early emphasis on durability shaped its material choices, most notably English bridle leather, treated with natural oils and waxes to withstand rain and years of hard use. “It’s designed to be used in the British climate,” Lowry Corry notes. “It’s thick, it’s robust and it ages beautifully.” Pieces made decades ago are routinely brought back for repair by later generations. “We see things that are 80, 90, even 100 years old,” he says. “And they’re still going.”
That sense of continuity is reinforced by the layout of the building itself. Clients commissioning a bespoke briefcase or folio can meet the craftsperson responsible for the work, discuss handle shape or interior layout, and return to see the piece in progress. “You’re not just buying an object,” Lowry Corry explains. “You’re building a relationship with the person who’s making it.” Progress photographs are shared, fittings adjusted, and items maintained and restored in-house.
Adaptation has been part of Swaine’s history from the outset. As transport shifted from horse to motor car, the company turned its attention to luggage. Trunks designed for steamship crossings evolved into cases suited to rail and early aviation. One of its enduring designs, the Salisbury, was first produced in the 1890s for Lord Salisbury. “We’ve been making it ever since,” says Lowry Corry. The silhouette remains intact, but the interior has been refined to accommodate modern requirements, from laptops to charging cables. “The outside stays true to the original,” he adds. “Inside, it works for how we live now.”
WE SEE THINGS THAT ARE 80, 90, EVEN 100 YEARS OLD. AND THEY’RE STILL GOING.
LOWRY CORRY
Swaine’s portfolio extends beyond leather goods. Through its association with Brigg umbrellas and Herbert Johnson hats, it forms a broader house of British accessories that can be found in store, where hatters provide hat fittings as part of the unique experience.
For many visitors, Swaine’s proximity to craft still catches them off guard. “People are often surprised when they see it,” Lowry Corry says. “They don’t expect this to still exist here in central London.”

IN BORDEAUX, TRADITION IS CODIFIED.
The 1855 Classification still stands, unchanged in substance since Napoleon III asked for a ranking to showcase France’s finest wines. For Arnaud Christiaens, Founder of SGC Wine Estates, that immovability was the provocation. “Since 1855, there have been zero newcomers in that ranking,” he says. “I thought, ‘that’s impossible.’”
Christiaens arrived at wine from the hedge fund world, drawn not by romance but by structure. He was fascinated by how two neighbouring vineyards, sometimes advised by the same winemaker, could produce bottles of vastly different quality and price. The difference, he concluded, lay beneath the surface. “We don’t want to understand what is on top of the soil,” he says. “We want to understand what is inside.”
That insight became SGC’s foundation. Working with specialist laboratories in Bordeaux, Christiaens began mapping vineyard soils. After more than 20,000 core samples, colour-coded charts revealed a truth invisible from the surface: exceptional plots often sit beside mediocre ones. “When you walk on the vineyard, it all looks the same,” he says. “Underneath, it’s completely different.”
Rather than purchase estates outright, SGC leases only the highest-scoring parcels for 50 years, producing wine exclusively from those plots. The model is exacting by design. “If you give me a billion dollars tomorrow, I cannot produce more,” Christiaens says. “It’s true scarcity.”
Today SGC works across three Bordeaux appellations, with further sites under assessment and expansion planned into Italy and Portugal. The wines are released strictly by allocation, currently offered as a trio from Pomerol, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and Médoc.
The result is not positioned as a club but as a circle. Membership is by invitation, often through existing collectors. “Wine is all about sharing,” Christiaens says. “We like nice people that bring something to the discussion.”
Dinners form the backbone of the experience: private homes around the world; high-profile entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and even royals seated side by side; conversations that run into the early hours. Christiaens describes financiers who arrive formidable and leave animated. “The minute they talk about wine,” he says, “they become the sweetest guys in the room.”
Central to that atmosphere is Frédéric Zantman, SGC’s long-standing partner and one of the most respected noses in the world. A true storyteller, Zantman brings a theatrical intelligence to tastings, disarming even the most serious collectors. He treats each wine as a character to be met and understood. “He likes to introduce himself to the wine,” Christiaens says. “He asks it questions. He tells a story.” The result is an experience that encourages conversation — and when some of the most influential and hard-to-reach individuals in the world are gathered, those conversations quickly become compelling.
Perhaps the most striking expression of the brand’s philosophy is the six-litre Impériale, known as the Impossible Bottle. Only 30 are produced each year. Not intended for sale, they are awarded to members of Le Cercle SGC in recognition of a life’s work or a significant contribution to the SGC legacy, or auctioned to support foundations whose values align with the house.
WE DON’T WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ON TOP OF THE SOIL. WE WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS INSIDE THE SOIL.
ARNAUD CHRISTIAENS
Christiaens is now planning an event in Davos to recognise global changemakers, further extending the circle’s reach. It marks a natural evolution for a project that began as a challenge to the status quo.
After all, SGC offers more than a case of wine. For those drawn to rarity and unhurried conversations, it offers entry into an invitation-only circle built from the ground up. As Christiaens puts it, “We didn’t build the circle. The circle built itself.”

WHERE RIVERS RUN WILD
In Iceland, Six Rivers Iceland is reversing the catastrophic decline of Atlantic salmon, pairing high-end wilderness lodges with hands-on conservation to create a sustainable model of travel with purpose.
EACH SUMMER, ATLANTIC SALMON RETURN TO THE GLACIAL RIVERS OF NORTHEASTERN ICELAND, NAVIGATING THOUSANDS OF MILES OF OCEAN TO REACH THE WATERS WHERE THEY WERE BORN.
Twelve years ago, that ancient migration was under serious threat, as stocks across the North Atlantic began to collapse at a catastrophic rate. In response, Six Rivers Iceland was established to intervene. The foundation leases and restores entire river systems, funding conservation through sustainable tourism.
“It became apparent that the numbers of North Atlantic salmon were starting to reduce pretty catastrophically,” says Glenn Turner, Chairman of Six Rivers Iceland. Across the wider North Atlantic, stocks have declined by more than 70% since the 1970s. Yet on the rivers under Six Rivers’ stewardship, the trajectory is beginning to reverse.
Six Rivers now oversees six of the most prolific salmon rivers in northeast Iceland, working in partnership with local river associations. Full control allows strict conservation rules to be applied consistently — something fragmented river ownership elsewhere often makes impossible. “When we have full control of a river, we’re able to impose our rules and our conservation methods,” Turner explains.
The model is built on three pillars: scientific research, community engagement and a commercial operation that sustains both. Catch and release is mandatory. Only dry fly fishing is permitted, with strict rod limits and compulsory guides. Larger fish are tagged to track migration patterns across the North Atlantic. “We’re able to count literally every fish that comes up,” Turner says of the underwater fish counters installed on key rivers.
Juvenile survival is central to the mission. Purpose-built fish ladders now bypass waterfalls that once blocked access to spawning grounds, opening vast stretches of river and restoring natural breeding routes. The impact
is measurable: on one waterway, annual rod catches have increased from an average of 170 fish before conservation measures to more than 1,100 in recent years. “It’s almost a tenfold increase,” Turner says.

Reforestation underpins that recovery. When Vikings arrived, around 45% of Iceland was forested; a decade ago, that figure had fallen below 5%. Six Rivers now plants approximately 400,000 trees annually, with a target of one million by 2028. “It makes a big contribution all round,” Turner says, citing improved river health, soil stability and biomass for young salmon.
Visitors experience the work first-hand. On the Selá and Miðfjarðará rivers, high-end lodges host a limited number of guests each season. Only six rods are permitted on rivers stretching up to 50km, ensuring solitude and minimal impact. So strong is the appeal that there are waiting lists, and revenue is reinvested directly into conservation. Guests often go further than a stay, donating and underwriting fish passes or counters that will bear their names. “We’re attracting people who are interested in making a real difference,” Turner says.
The impact extends beyond ecology. Northeast Iceland is one of Europe’s more economically fragile rural regions, and investment in lodges, guiding and forestry has brought employment and long-term stability to local communities.
WE’RE ATTRACTING PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE
GLENN TURNER
The Six Rivers model has since expanded into Africa, where the foundation supports anti-poaching and habitat protection in Tanzania’s Selous and Ruaha national parks, applying the same conservation-first philosophy on land as in water.
For travellers seeking more than scenery, the appeal lies in participation. Days are spent casting across cold, glacial rivers; evenings unfold in warm timber lodges beneath the northern lights. The privilege is not simply access to a river, but a role in its recovery.

SUPERYACHT SALES
In 2026, the yachting market is defined by conviction and precision. Buyers are decisive, exceptionally well-informed and increasingly selective in their acquisitions.
We are once again seeing a tightening of pedigree inventory in key size brackets, creating a highly nuanced supply dynamic that demands informed positioning and timing.
This is a market that rewards expertise and preparation. Pricing is disciplined, negotiations are exacting and advantage lies with those who move proactively rather than reactively.
Private, non-publicly listed (NPL) yacht transactions have become a dominant force, setting the benchmark for discretion at the upper end of the market. Meanwhile, late-model, high-specification turnkey yachts continue to achieve the strongest premiums, reflecting a clear preference for immediate usability and technical excellence.
While the new-build sector retains its strategic appeal, particularly for owners seeking full customisation, the most compelling value propositions today are largely already afloat — proven assets available for immediate deployment without the latency, risk exposure and capital drag of a multi-year build cycle.
Confidence is quiet, but unmistakable — and that quiet confidence defines the 2026 sales landscape. It isn’t about spectacle; it’s about asset certainty, technical integrity and informed execution.

SILENT OPERATION
Peak demand for battery-hybrid and fuel cell technology. HOME, 50M HEESEN
With over €7 billion in transactions in 2025, (up 34% on 2024); the signal is clear: buyer engagement is robust, and the appetite for high-spec brokerage yachts is at an all-time high.
Significant growth in sales of 30-40m; while 40-50m softened and 50-60m surged.
The sailing yacht market suffered a slight decline in 2025, but more notably, market share against motor yachts continued to decline.
The French and Italian Rivieras and Florida remained the undisputed shop window of superyacht sales.
Rising UHNW wealth continued to underpin demand, and the number of billionaires grew year-on-year, rising by 247 to 3,028.
Inside knowledge
THE OPPORTUNITY GAP
Inventory for 2023–2025 builds remains tight, creating a “seller’s market” for near-new tonnage. For buyers, the move is to secure high-spec, recent-delivery yachts now before the 2027–2028 scarcity truly bites.
ITALIAN CHIC
Italy remains the shipyard of the world — 2025 transactions surpassed both 2023 and 2024 figures, with Sanlorenzo and Benetti defining the “lifestyle first” resale market.
PRICE REDUCTIONS
There were 18% more reductions in 2025 than in 2024. The knock-on effect rallied the market in Q4 with a 46% increase in yacht sales over Q4 2024.
BROKERAGE MARKET
The market grew 15% against 2024.

Timeless Quality
In a market increasingly defined by long build slots, escalating costs and compromise, HAMPSHIRE stands apart.
Fresh from her 10-year Lloyds survey and a comprehensive yard period at Barcelona’s prestigious MB92 shipyard, this 66.25-metre Feadship has been meticulously refined and returned to the market in immaculate condition. Fully repainted, technically flawless and operating as new, she presents a rare opportunity: a northern European pedigree yacht, immediately available.
Built in 2016, HAMPSHIRE hails from a period of Feadship craftsmanship that is increasingly difficult to replicate. This is a yacht conceived and executed without shortcuts — solid, quiet, beautifully engineered and enduring by design. Her condition reflects that philosophy. Every system has been scrutinised, refined and optimised. The result is a yacht that feels composed and deeply reassuring, whether island-hopping or crossing oceans.
Conceived and executed without shortcuts.
What makes HAMPSHIRE particularly compelling is her balance. At 66.25m, she offers genuine presence and capability, yet remains practical to operate and versatile in use. Designed as a family yacht with vast global range, her layout prioritises ease, flow and liveability. Generous formal areas sit comfortably alongside relaxed, welcoming spaces that feel like home. Indoor and outdoor living blend effortlessly, creating an environment that’s equally suited to extended cruising or time at anchor.

The decks provide guests with private sanctuaries.
Solid. Quiet. Beautifully engineered.
The Owner’s deck is a defining feature: a private sanctuary complete with lounge, retractable balcony, cinema, bar and discreet bridge access. Guest accommodation is equally well considered, with spacious main-deck cabins and a flexible VIP arrangement that allows HAMPSHIRE to welcome up to 14 guests in comfort. Outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed, from the side-opening beach club and wellness area to the expansive sun deck, complete with heli pad, gym, jacuzzi, cinema, bar and generous space for alfresco dining with panoramic views.
Crucially, HAMPSHIRE offers what many buyers seek today: a genuine alternative to a new build, without the wait or uncertainty. Her pedigree is unquestionable, her engineering proven and her condition exceptional following her 10-year Lloyds survey and major service. She is perfect as she stands; yet for those who wish to add a personal signature, HAMPSHIRE provides an outstanding, pedigree platform on which to subtly reimagine interiors or aesthetics.
Every system has been refined and optimised.
This is a yacht for those who recognise that true value lies in build integrity, intelligent design and longevity. HAMPSHIRE is not simply ready for her next Owner, she is ready for her next chapter.
THE LARGE YACHT MARKET IS NOT CONTRACTING. IT IS RECALIBRATING.
The global luxury yacht market is projected to reach $11.91 billion in 2026. Far from a contraction, the industry is entering a phase of “measured expansion” where buyers prioritise pedigree yards, turnkey condition and smart asset credentials over speculative ownership.
THE SHIFT FROM STATUS TO PRACTICALITY IN 50M+ SUPERYACHTS
What we are seeing is not a retreat in demand, but a quiet raising of standards. Buyers are more informed, more patient and significantly less willing to compromise. Many are first-time Owners, but almost none are first-time decision-makers. They come from technology, private equity, global logistics and capital markets sectors where data, discipline and long-term thinking are non-negotiable. They are not looking to be sold a dream; they are looking to make a good decision. This is changing the dynamic of the market in subtle but important ways.
Historically, a rising tide allowed a wide range of yachts to trade. Length was often enough. Today, buyers look beyond headline figures. They understand volume, build quality, engineering depth, lifecycle costs and resale performance. They ask better questions, earlier. They take advice seriously and they are prepared to wait. As a result, the market is becoming more selective.
On the supply side, the gap between pedigree yards and the rest is widening. Proven builders with disciplined order books, and yards that have spent decades refining process, engineering and aftersales support are busy. Their clients accept longer build times because they understand what they are buying: predictability, integrity and long-term value.
WHY PEDIGREE MATTERS: THE TWO-SPEED MARKET
At the other end of the spectrum, some yards are chasing volume through semi-custom platforms, shorter delivery promises and aggressive pricing. In a slower, more rational market, this strategy carries risk. Buyers are increasingly sceptical of “good on paper” solutions, particularly at the 50m+ level, where complexity multiplies and compromises compound over time. The result is a two-speed market.
Well-built yachts with clear provenance, sensible specifications and credible maintenance histories continue to trade, often quietly, often efficiently. Average yachts, even relatively young ones, stall. Price reductions alone are no longer enough. Buyers are less interested in cosmetic upgrades and more focused on fundamentals: hull form, machinery, layout logic, crew efficiency and long-term serviceability.
EVOLVING BUYER PSYCHOLOGY: THE “SMART ASSET”
This filtering effect is becoming more pronounced as yachts get larger. The tendency is for new yachts over 70m to move further toward full custom, while the resale market increasingly rewards clarity of purpose. Yachts built with a strong original brief, rather than an attempt to appeal to everyone, are proving more resilient.
There is also a noticeable shift in buyer psychology. Ownership is being approached as a medium- to longterm commitment, not a speculative asset. That does not mean buyers ignore resale; quite the opposite. They simply understand that resale is strongest when the original build decisions were sound.
In this environment, pedigree matters more than ever — not as a badge of prestige, but as shorthand for accumulated competence.
