OVER 900 ATTENDEES IN ATLANTA 2015 Thank you all for your continued support of Corporate Counsel Women of Color. Something amazing happened at our 11th Annual Conference in Atlanta. We had a record number of attendees - over 900 and a large percentage of our conference goers were first-time attendees. This growth and rebirth of the organization is attributable to word-of-mouth and the unwavering commitment of all of our members, friends, and sponsors.

CCWC was started in 2004 with the mission and vision to foster diversity and inclusion in the legal profession for women of color attorneys. We started with 50 members and have expanded to 3,400 in-house women of color attorneys in corporate legal departments.

Over 900 women of color attorneys – a record number – gathered in Atlanta, Georgia for the Corporate Counsel Women of Color and K&L Gates LLP 11th Annual Conference September 23-25, 2015. The tremendous growth of the conference resulted in the expansion of it to three hotels – the Downtown Marriott Marquis, the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, and the Atlanta Hyatt Regency. Leslie M. From start to finish, attendees enjoyed southern hospitality, had ample opportunity to sample cuisine, and enjoyed the rich, diverse heritage of Atlanta. The conference commenced with over twenty-four topics offered through the CCWC General Counsel Training Boot Camp, MBA In-a-Day for Lawyers, and Cyber Hacks and Attacks: Best Practices to Detect and Protect Your Company. Honoree Leslie M. Turner (Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, The Hershey Company) was awarded with the eleventh Diamond Award of Excellence. The conference brought together top luminary speakers including Commissioner Sharon Y. Bowen (U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission), Dr. Yvonne Thompson CBE (CEO, ASAP Communications and Britain’s first black female millionaire), Malvina Camejo Longoria (Group Executive and Associate General Counsel, MasterCard), Shawn Holley (Celebrity Attorney Representing High-Profile Clients), Patricia Russell-McCloud (Motivational Speaker), Tamara Harris Robinson (President, Tamara L. Harris Foundation), JJ Virgin (Celebrity Nutritionist and Best-Selling Author, Sugar Impact Diet), Justice Leah Ward Sears (Retired Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court), Alice Randall Harris and Caroline Randall Williams (Authors, Soul Food Love), and many more. For the sixth time, CCWC hosted a special breakfast for those in the role of general counsel, deputy general counsel, chief compliance officer, chief of staff, and corporate secretary. Over seventy executives—a record number — participated in this effective peer-to-peer event.

Fun highlights of the event included the My Life as a Lawyer Program for Spelman College, the Home Depot Kick-Off Reception at the Georgia Aquarium, and Facebook’s Networking Dinner Reception at Ventanas. While in Atlanta, attendees explored attractions including the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Center, CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park, Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the College Football Hall of Fame and more. The conference concluded with an evening celebration at the Hard Rock Café.
