THURSDAY, AUGUST 19 RESIDENTIAL SCHEDULE 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Move-in During your assigned period, all individuals and accompanied vehicles will enter the CCU campus via Garrison Street onto Cedar Street proceeding to point A for check-in. You will then be directed to point B, where we ask ONE individual to remain at all times with the vehicle when pulled up to the temporary parking slot at the residential hall.

3:00 – 3:30 p.m., 3:45 – 4:15 p.m. & 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Pin-point Sessions Each student and each family is on unique journey. We have provided several “pin-point” sessions for you to hear information that will useful as you help your student navigate this new experience.

An Introduction to the First Semester @ CCU: Parents will get an overview of life on campus from AugustDecember for their student’s first semester. (Location TBD)

Once the vehicle is unloaded please proceed to point C to park at the MileHi parking lot before rejoining your family to begin settling in.

Residence Life: Wondering what it’s like to live on campus? Check out this workshop led by Residence Life. (Location TBD)

Counseling Services: College can be a stressful and disorienting experience. The Director of Counseling Services, Dr. Alisa Shanks will be sharing ways as a parent you can support your student.

COMMUTER SCHEDULE

1:45 – 2:30 p.m. OR 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. Campus Tour Meet in front of Anschutz Student Center Wanting to get orientated to our campus? Come on this optional tour led by several current CCU students.

5:00 – 5:15 p.m. Commuter Check-in Leprino Academic Building Lobby Check-in and get all the information you need to have a successful Weekend of Welcome and launch your CCU transition.

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Church Fair Leprino Lawn CCU believes whole-heartedly that students need to be connected to the local church body. Come explore a variety of church options that might be a great place for you to get plugged into.

5:15 – 6:15 p.m. Commuter Dinner Leprino Academic Building: Room 170/172 You and your family members are invited to our special commuter dinner. This will be a time to hear about the commuter experience, learn about resources and meet other commuter students.

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Drop-in Office Hours We know that you probably have questions that are specific to your situation. Take advantage of the drop-in office hours to get your questions answered or needs met by the following offices:

6:15 – 6:50 p.m. Commuter Parent Social Leprino Academic Building: Room 170/172 Being a family member of a commuter is a unique experience, this will be a time to enjoy dessert and mingle with other commuter families.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 20 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. Open Breakfast Anschutz Student Center: Dining Commons 8:15 – 9:15 a.m. Augustine Honors Program Reception and Breakfast You are invited to attend, with your parent, this special breakfast with the honors program faculty and fellow honors students. 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. A Parent’s Perspective Leprino 170/172 Hear from the Vice President of Student Life on what parents can expect as they send their student off to college and gain some valuable tips on making a smooth transition. 10:45 – 11:15 a.m. & 11:30 – 12:00 p.m. Pin-point Sessions Each student and each family is on unique journey. We have provided several “pin-point” sessions for you to hear information that will useful as you help your student navigate this new experience

• Student Success: Get to hear from the Life Directions Center (LDC) about the resources that are available to your student to help them have a successful academic experience. (Location TBD) • New Student Retreat: Did you know we take all new students on a retreat to Buena Vista? Come hear a bit about what this retreat is like and all that your student will get to experience. (Location TBD)

• Athletics: If your son or daughter is currently involved in a CCU sport, this workshop is for you. (Location TBD)

• Financial Aid: This workshop will inform parents about the services offered through CCU Financial Aid and what parents need to know for the next three years. This is the time to ask questions! (Location TBD)

Lunch Anschutz Student Center: Dining Commons GOLD 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. NAVY 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. If you would prefer to join your student for lunch please feel free to do so at your assigned window of time 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. CCU SyncedIn Parent Luncheon All parents are invited to attend a luncheon to learn about engagement opportunities through the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, including how to benefit from our private networking portal, CCU SyncedIn. You will enjoy delicious food, meet fellow parents, and have the opportunity to speak with staff and alumni about the value of a CCU degree.

Undeclared will meet with Life Direction Center and their families. Join your school faculty and their families, current students and staff as we celebrate the start of a new year. Don’t miss this time of fellowship, music, games, and a chance to get to know the amazing faculty you will be learning from. 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. Bitter Sweet Dessert Reception Location to be determined Enjoy dessert together and take the evening to say goodbye to your family as formal programing for parents and families concludes with this reception.
