Report from the Election Committee Missed it by this much. Extension #1 is done. We’re still waiting for YesElections to give us the exact count, but they estimate the needed returns will fall short of a quorum by 383, give or take. Stand by for Monday’s robocall or next week’s updated Crawler. That’s right, we’re still waiting for the last of the Business Reply Envelopes to arrive at the YesElections offices. It’s not the ballots, it’s the envelopes. The envelopes received or retrieved by mail or drop box courier determine when we finally call it quits. Most years, it’s the original dead-
line or the first extension deadline or the next extension deadline (or the next) that ends or extends an election. But some years – like this year – it only depends on the magic number. That magic number is quorum and this year’s quorum is 5,041. We did not collect the needed 5,041 return envelopes by the latest Official Drop Box pick up on Friday, July 31, aka the first extension deadline. So, now it’s on to the second extension: Monday, August 31, or before. Before? What kind of a deadline is that? It’s a “whichever comes first” deadline. (Continued on page 5)

This Management Report provides updates with the following elements: • Public Safety – Peace Officer Staffing • Power Plant – Cooling in the Community • Flagstar Bank – Process Changes • Informational Updates Peace Officer Staffing As of Monday, July 20, 2026, the Department of Public Safety has 77 Peace Officers, filling 83.8% of the 93 budgeted positions. On Saturday, July 18th, 31 recruits were invited to begin the recruitment process for the next in-house Academy. Of the 15 recruits who attended the agility test, 13 passed. The remaining steps will take place over the next few months, and the next in-house Academy is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 21st. Power Plant – Cooling in the Community The Power Plant is providing lower-than-expected cooling in Zone 1 (Buildings 1–7, 15–20, Defoe Place, Adler, and Asch Loop Townhouses).

Flagstar Bank – Process Changes Flagstar Bank has notified Management of upcoming changes to its lockbox and payment processing procedures. A notice was sent to all shareholders outlining the following updates: • Elimination of onsite check pickups. • Lockbox Mailing Address Change. • Revised Payment Processing Procedures. • Statement Printing and Mailing.
