CC BIKER & MOTORSPORTS NEWS 10TH ANNIVERSARY
It is kinda hard to realize it has been 10 years since Ben Hill, Mark Pulido and I went over to Hanford government center and got our business license on February 12, 2016. We were all working at IDrive Magazine and were tired of being treated like we were nothing to them. Long hours and low pay, always talked down to by one of the owners. We finally got fed up and said screw this, let’s start a magazine of our own. So that is what we did, I ran the newspaper, Ben was in charge of sales and Mark
did the Graphics. We really didn’t make any money, so Mark and Ben ended up finding a job that could pay the bills and I got a job with Auto Chaser Magazine to pay my bills. Heck, there were several months I had to kick in money from my job at Auto Chaser to just keep CC Biker going. It was tough, but I never gave up.
Through CC Biker, I met so many great folks Biker’s, Sand Drags drivers, Modified Car drivers and more. A lot have become real friends as well. I have enjoyed running CC Biker for the last 10 years, of course it has had

it’s ups and downs, but I have really enjoyed myself in those 10 years too.
Up until Covid hit, we had events to go to every Saturday, I would swing by and pick up Dana CC biker

and off we would be to whichever events we had planned that day, sometimes we would attend at least 2 events and sometimes

even more. One Memorial Day weekend, we actually attended over 5 different events. We started at like 7:30 am and I didn’t drop Dana off at her house until after midnight, but we had a blast. Lots have changed since Covid. For 6 years we had CC Biker printed and in the first couple years we had almost 800 locations before I started trimming that done to 500 to make it more feasible to get them delivered within 5 days and too many dang miles. At first, we even went all the way to Monterey, just south of Stockton, down as far as the Grapevine off I-5, from
the central Coast going east to Tehachapi. Hayley Morian covered Bakersfield and the mountains going to Lake Isabella , and she took over deliveries north of Merced.
September 2022 the printer wanted to raise our prices by 38% and that is why and when we switched over to a Digital Newspaper. Only a few of our Advertisers could afford that kind of increase. Now you view CC Biker and Motorsports News at https:// issuu.com/ccbikerandmotor sports and through Facebook http://www.facebook.com/ ccbikerandmotorsports which actually helps us reach more folks overall. Our Facebook page gets between 30,000

to 35,000 views a month. For those of you who don’t know April 2019 I was involved in a car accident and tore my Rotator Cuff on my left side, ripped 7/8 of the muscle off my shoulder and 5 tears in my back. Doctors wanted to do surgery but I said that they bumped their heads and I won’t be doing that. They told me if I didn’t have surgery, I would never be able to lift my arm above my head. Well, I told them you’re not God, He will decide that. Well, with God's good grace I can lift my arm above my head and most of the time without any pain. I do have constant back pain, but I live through it daily. Then,

while going through all of this I was diagnosed with COPD. So, all these things have made it hard for me to get around so much or to be able to attend many events. I have been blessed by so many folks who have stepped up and been going to events and writing stories for ya’ll to read. I tried and attend when my health and Danelle Brown health allows it to.
Well On March 7th we will be hosting our 10th Anniversary Party Run. We will be starting at Fresno Harley Davidson at 9 am and at 10:30 or so Kickstand Up to headed

I am hopeful we can pack the Dead Rat Saloon with all of you. What better way to say you like what we have been doing for the last 10 years, than ya’ll coming out and Supporting us for our 10th Anniversary of bringing the biker and motorsports news to y’all.
I would like to thank you y’all for always supporting us at CC Biker and Motorsports Newspaper, keeping us in your prayers, always moving forward and just being good friends, and family to our group. We can’t wait to see what is in store for us next.

My First Ride

Venom WRITER
I didn’t know what was going to happen today.
I thought we were doing another car trip because that’s what we had been practicing lately. But Daddy Dallas picked up the spaceship, zipped me inside, and carried me outside.
It was just a normal Thursday.
The spaceship is clear, which means I can see everything and everyone can see me. There’s a fan inside that keeps the air moving, and I settled in while waiting for the car door.
Instead, he climbed onto something loud that hummed through the ground.
I think he calls it a momocycle.
The hum started low and stayed steady while the road was moving under us. Wind pressed against the dome and pushed sound around my ears. I went wide-eyed and loud right away because the world suddenly felt faster
than it should have been.
I had a lot to say about that, so I said it without holding back.
Daddy Dallas kept the movement smooth, and I could feel the rhythm through his back and through the straps of the spaceship. After a few minutes, the noise made sense and I leaned to watch the world go by.
We went to PetSmart, where the doors opened

and bright indoor light replaced the outside air. Humans walked past wearing outdoor feet inside a place that clearly belonged to indoors. I watched for a while, trying to understand why nobody else seemed confused by that choice.
People noticed my voice first, and then they saw the spaceship once they realized where the sound was coming from.
I watched the little fishes for a long time while Daddy Dallas talked about momocycles with another human. The fish moved quietly while everything else felt busy. But nobody rushed us or turned the moment into a show. It felt like a regular stop that happened to include a kitten in a spaceship.
Then we reached the catnip aisle. Which should have been the most important part of the trip! I could smell it before we even turned the corner.
I shifted forward in the spaceship so he would understand that I was fully aware of what was happening. He slowed down just enough for me to
believe we were stopping...
Then he kept walking like catnip was optional.
I raised my voice to correct his mistake and made it clear that this location required attention. Somehow, he didn’t hear me, because he continued past the shelves without even a pause. I tracked the bags as they disappeared behind us and protested the entire way down the aisle. Some decisions deserve to be questioned out loud.
The ride home felt calmer once the movement wasn’t new anymore. The hum stayed steady and the wind didn’t surprise me. So, I watched the road instead of announcing every second of it. By the time we got home, the rhythm felt familiar. When we got back inside, dinner was already happening and the house smelled like something important. Daddy Dallas unzipped the spaceship and I stepped out on my own.
Thursday continued like nothing unusual had happened.
I think he calls it a momocycle.
And I think I’ll ride it again.
