INFORMATION GUIDE FOR BIKER & MOTORSPORTS IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

We Are Family Gary Roberts

Chapter President of Sword & Shield Riders Clovis, CA Chapter CMA

Faith. Family. Brotherhood and Sisterhood. No One Gets Left Behind. You Are Not Forgotten. These are not just slogans and ideals we throw around casually or lightly, but as brothers and sisters united in one accord, these are ideals we strive to live by and die for. In our tightknit communities within the numerous biker kingdoms, both Christian and secular, many similarities and common ideals co-exist amongst our tribal family groups, clubs and organizations we faithfully represent. Within our collective chapter groups around the world, there exists an unbreakable bond, a cohesive camaraderie that develops over time as we travel together, navigating the twisting roads, and spending quality time developing our kindred friendships. We all have a common bond and thread running throughout our biking groups, regardless of whether representing a one, two, or three patch, or nomad rockers. We have high regard in caring for our fellow brethren, loyal to the sanctity of our common biking interests, and respectful of our honor systems we represent individually and collectively within our ranks.

In our Sword & Shield Riders Chapter (Clovis, CA) of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, our vision for our chapter group runs parallel to these biker ideals with a Christian evangelism emphasis. CMA is a worldwide Motorcycle Ministry Outreach dedicated to reaching people for Jesus Christ in the highways and byways through the avenue of motorcycling. CMA is helping change the world, one heart at a time, through purposeful motorcycle group evangelism, fellowship, and discipleship efforts. Our Clovis Chapter is very active in many aspects within the world of motorcycle ministries, building & strengthening relationships within our core group as we reach out to help and pray for those in need. Some of our many CMA ministry efforts include, but are not limited to the following: offering prayer and spiritual support as needed; participate in regular organized motorcycle rides; host / assist in fund raisers within the community; host / assist in ministry outreaches (jail, prison, toy bear runs, bike blessings, etc.); hospital visitations; veterans rights supporters; group riders for funeral processions & We Are Family Continued on page 7
