YOU ARE STANDING WITH ISRAEL AND BLESSING HER PEOPLE IN NEED ISRAEL
HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR | LARISA’S STORY
Larisa’s life had a hard beginning. She was born to a Jewish family in Ukraine during World War II, and her father was drafted into the Soviet Army. Larisa’s mother, who was pregnant when the war started, made her way out of the city to find her relatives. It was only a few years later, Larisa recalled, that the family heard that her father had died—an event she said “was very hard on everyone.”
After the war, Larisa lived a quiet life in Ukraine for many years. Then in 2022, war broke out again when Russia invaded her homeland—something she will never forget. “It was a nightmare. There was combat all around us.”
Bravely, this elderly widow immigrated to Israel—with only a suitcase. She moved into a home for seniors but lacked the household necessities to get by.
Fortunately, you were there. Neighbors told Larisa to call CBN Israel for assistance, and she did. “I reached out, and they came and asked me how they could help.” You provided her with nutritious food, a stove, and a couch. She added, “I want to express my deep appreciation for the warm welcome. The
support I received made a significant difference. I feel blessed!”
Your gifts are a lifesaver to many Holocaust survivors and new immigrants like Larisa. Often fleeing war or poverty, they need our help getting established in a new land. You are also helping single mothers, terror victims, and many others.
And during these colder months, your continued support is crucial in bringing aid to those struggling to survive in the Holy Land. Your generous gifts to CBN Israel offer these grateful people groceries, shelter, appliances, financial help—and encouragement. Thank you for caring!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE DIFFERENCE!

Your gifts make it possible to produce unbiased, independent journalism through broadcasts, podcasts, and online media dedicated to informing the world about what is happening in Israel and the Middle East through our news bureau in Jerusalem.
MORE THAN JUST A MEAL
Across Israel, hunger threatens thousands of people—refugees, families with children, elderly Holocaust survivors, and victims of the Gaza war. So how can anyone feed such large numbers of vulnerable Israelis?
Because of your generosity, you have been part of the solution. Through your support, CBN Israel has forged a vital partnership with Leket Israel—a food rescue organization that combats food waste and delivers nutritious meals nationwide to those in need. You even supplied them with a 15-ton truck—capable of transporting over seven tons of food daily, five days a week, to feed multitudes in Israel.
Leket Israel was founded over 20 years ago and has grown into an amazing outreach. CEO Gidi Kroch shared, “Over 160 people work with us, and we rescue about 35,000 tons annually of

food—most of it fresh produce, with about 3,000 tons being meals we rescue. We work with 800 farmers and farms all over Israel, and we have 120 suppliers or donors of food, including catering services.”
Even during the war, volunteers have helped with harvesting on farms, giving them a new appreciation of the land. Kroch added, “The statistics are staggering—we’ve had 100,000 volunteers, especially in these last years of the war, with many up in the North.”
The concept behind Leket Israel is an ancient biblical one of gleaning. God commanded His people to leave a small part of their fields to be picked by those who were poor. Today, farmers may have produce that is perfectly healthy but not the right size or shape for what their buyers want. Instead of discarding it, they can donate it to Leket Israel and feed hungry families.
“We’re so pleased and happy to be able to do this with CBN support,” Kroch concluded. “Thank you!” Your gifts to CBN Israel are also providing safe housing, financial assistance, groceries, and other essentials to those in crisis. Thank you for making such an important difference!
YOUR SUPPORT HELPS RESTORE LIFE TO KIBBUTZ NIRIM
By Stephen Faircloth President, CBN Israel
This past fall, a remarkable milestone unfolded in southern Israel as families of Kibbutz Nirim returned home to rebuild, resettle, and restore hope. Because of your generosity, the new community hub was completed in time for their arrival.
The dining hall, kitchen, and grocery store that were lost to devastation have been rebuilt as places of life, comfort, and fellowship. Today they stand as symbols of resilience after one of the darkest days in Israel’s history.
On October 7, 2023, the peaceful farming community of Kibbutz Nirim was struck by a brutal and unprovoked attack. Once known as a flourishing beacon of hope in the Negev desert, this close-knit community endured unthinkable loss as terrorists stormed the village with the intent to destroy everything in their path.
Homes, fields, and treasured gathering places
were burned or decimated. Families who had built their lives on the soil of this historic kibbutz suddenly became refugees in their own land.
Yet even in the face of tragedy, the spirit of Kibbutz Nirim refused to be extinguished. Established in 1946 on the eve of Yom Kippur, the kibbutz has always been rooted in determination and the biblical promise that the desert will rejoice and blossom.
The families of Nirim chose to return, to rebuild, and to believe for a future that once again reflects the beauty and purpose of their heritage.
Your support made a critical difference in this courageous journey back home. As residents arrived to begin restoring their lives, they needed a central place to gather, share meals, and access daily necessities.

center of daily rhythm. Children laugh and talk around tables while their parents sit together to reconnect after months of war and displacement.
The rebuilt kitchen provides warm and nourishing meals that bring comfort as families continue to heal. The restored grocery store gives residents access to essential items that help reestablish their daily routines.
Not just buildings, these places now serve as anchors of normalcy and hope. They remind every family that they are not alone as they rebuild their future.
Your generosity has done more than repair structures. You have restored dignity. You have rekindled community life. You have offered a tangible expression of love to families
who endured unimaginable loss.
Every meal shared in the dining hall, every greeting exchanged in the grocery store, and every moment of fellowship in this new hub is a direct reflection of your kindness.
As the people of Kibbutz Nirim continue to plant new crops, repair homes, and reopen the spaces that once defined their daily lives, they do so with renewed strength. That strength comes in part from knowing that Christians like you around the world have stood with them in their time of greatest need.
Thank you for extending your heart and your hand to these resilient men, women, and children. Your prayers and support have helped transform devastation into restoration and despair into new hope.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY FOR BLESSING HIS PEOPLE AND FOR HELPING KIBBUTZ NIRIM RISE AGAIN.

THE GOD WHO CHASES US
We often hear the call to seek God with all our heart. Scripture encourages us to draw near and pursue Him with intention and desire. In Psalm 27:8, David prayed, “Your face, Lord, I will seek”—reminding us that there is a sacred invitation for us to move toward God. And when we do, He promises to be found. Yet this is only half the story. The Bible also reveals a God who does not remain distant or passive in His relationship with us. He is not waiting silently on a mountaintop for us to climb our way up. He is the God who comes after His people. Job described this startling truth when he said, “If I am proud, You hunt me like a lion” (Job 10:16 hcsb), capturing the intensity and persistence of God’s pursuit. This is not a God who forgets His children. This is a God who seeks.
Psalm 23 offers one of the most beautiful portrayals of this divine pursuit: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. At first glance it sounds gentle, as if God’s blessings simply trail behind us like footprints in the sand. But the original Hebrew carries far more strength and purpose. The word translated as “follow” is radaf, which means to pursue with determination or to chase until overtaken. God’s goodness and covenant mercy do not merely drift in our direction. They chase us down. They surround us. They seek to overtake us just as an army overtakes its enemy in pursuit. And His mercy is not a fleeting emotion. The Hebrew word refers to His steadfast covenant loyalty, the unbreakable love He has bound to
His people. It is strong, dependable, and sure. Even when we feel overwhelmed, forgotten, or distant from God, His mercy is constantly moving toward us. We may not always sense it, but Scripture assures us that He is never idle. His love is active, not passive. His pursuit is constant, not intermittent.
Life’s pressures can blur our awareness of God’s nearness. Stress, disappointment, and fear can distort our perception until we feel that God is far away. Yet the truth remains unchanged: While we seek Him, He is also seeking us. While we try to draw near to Him, His covenant mercy is already closing in. And while we may wander or grow weary, His goodness is still pursuing and chasing after our hearts.
As a new year unfolds, perhaps the invitation before us is simple: Will we allow ourselves to be found by God? Will we stop long enough to notice His footprints behind us, His presence beside us, and His love surrounding us? God is not only calling us to pursue Him. He is calling us to recognize that He has been pursuing us all along.
PRAYER:
Father, open my eyes to see the many ways You are coming after me. Let Your goodness and covenant mercy surround and overtake my life. Help me rest in the truth that You seek me even when I feel distant. And let me live with the awareness that You pursue all people with the same unrelenting love. Amen.
Scripture is quoted from the nkjv except as noted.
