YOU ARE STANDING WITH ISRAEL AND BLESSING HER PEOPLE IN NEED ISRAEL
GOLDA: A WIDOW'S STORY
She was born into hardship during World War II, and sadly, that hardship followed her throughout much of her life. Golda’s father was killed in the fierce battle for Leningrad. Her mother took quick action to save her children but lost everything in the bombings.
“There wasn’t even a photo of my father left,” Golda remembered. “We evacuated, but there was no food. My mother constantly worried for her two small children. She was very ill for the rest of her life.”
Golda grew up in Ukraine, married, and eventually left to begin a new life in Israel. But adjusting to a new country was difficult. “I have lived through many tragedies,” she said. “My husband died of cancer. Then my mother died. I was left alone in this apartment. I cried all the time.”
At 84, Golda still faces challenges of daily survival on a fixed income. Four years ago, her apartment flooded and ruined her washing machine. “I would wash clothes in a basin by hand. It was very hard and unpleasant,” she recalled. Her home also needed repairs she could not afford. This lonely widow urgently needed help.
Then Golda reached out to CBN Israel, and caring friends like you were there for her. You provided a brand-new washing machine, vital home repairs, and food to ease her struggles. “I’m so happy,” she said. “Now the laundry only takes a short time. Thank you for your attention and your kindness.”
Today, Golda has hope again, knowing she is not forgotten.

HOPE IN THE HEART OF TEL AVIV
Sixteen years ago, Natasha Mazugha and her husband moved from Ukraine to Israel with their young children and only four suitcases. They felt called by God to build a church for the younger generation in Tel Aviv.
Starting over in a foreign land was not easy. Natasha remembers constantly trying to keep up with her children’s needs, finding clothes that fit them, and stretching every shekel to buy groceries and household essentials.
As she struggled to provide for her family, a vision began to grow in her heart. “It was my crazy dream,” she shared, “to come and do my shopping and pay zero money.” She longed to help others facing the same challenges. And because of caring friends like you, that dream has become a reality.
Today, thanks to your support, CBN Israel partners with the International Christian Fellowship congregation in the heart of Tel Aviv, where Natasha and her husband serve as pastors. Their church has opened its doors to the community, offering shelter to terror victims during the war. And now Natasha’s dream project, called Generous Basket, operates on the church grounds. It is a special store where people in need can receive
groceries, clothing, and basic necessities—completely free of charge. Natasha has created more than a store; she has built a place of rest and dignity. With soft music, pleasant aromas, and coffee for guests, it feels like a home. Natasha recalls one of their regulars who appreciates receiving items at no charge: “We have an 82-year-old woman whose husband is in a wheelchair. She told us this is the only food she can get, and it is here for free.”
Before the war, the program served 650 families. Since then, the need has grown dramatically. In just one week, they added 50 new families seeking help. Natasha’s heart breaks when supplies run short, which is why your support means so much. She said, “Thank you so much, CBN! When people wait in line for three hours before we open the store, CBN provides enough to bring these people help.”
Because of your generosity, hope is spreading throughout the Holy Land. You are helping to provide food, financial aid, and basic essentials to young families, refugees, and lonely seniors who have nowhere else to turn. May God bless you for your compassion and your love for the people of Israel.
YOUR SUPPORT IS BRINGING HEALING AND COMFORT TO ISRAEL
By Stephen Faircloth President, CBN Israel
In the aftermath of war, when the noise of battle quiets, the deeper wounds often begin to surface. Across Israel, families and individuals are now facing the emotional, psychological, and spiritual toll left by the terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, and the ensuing years of ongoing conflict.
Because of your compassion and generosity, CBN Israel has launched the Community Support and Resilience Center, a vital place of healing, restoration, and hope for a nation carrying profound trauma.
For many Israelis, life since October 7 has been lived in survival mode. The horrors of terrorism, the anxiety of constant threats, and the strain of prolonged uncertainty have left deep scars. As the immediate crisis begins to ease, thousands are now confronting grief, fear, and unanswered questions about the future.
The Community Support and Resilience
Center was created to meet this moment. It serves as a centralized hub that connects individuals and families with a wide network of professional care, including psychologists for adults and children, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, social workers, and trained coaches who offer guidance in parenting and financial recovery.
While government programs provide therapy for some direct victims of terror, many others, such as family members of victims, reservists’ spouses, and those affected indirectly, are often left without access to care. Through your support, CBN Israel is filling this critical gap by reaching those who otherwise would be overlooked.
Since the war began, CBN Israel has been providing trauma recovery groups, counseling sessions, and support courses throughout the country. The Community Support and
In the wake of October 7 and two years of war, many Israelis are confronting deep emotional and psychological wounds that could not adequately be addressed during months of survival and crisis.
Resilience Center builds on that foundation, expanding these efforts on a much larger scale while also offering support to the caregivers and therapists themselves, who are bearing the weight of national suffering.
Beyond emotional care, the center also addresses the spiritual questions many are wrestling with. Even people of faith have struggled to understand how such tragedy could happen. Through compassionate counseling and faith-sensitive support, the center helps individuals process trauma while rebuilding inner strength and resilience.
This work goes far beyond therapy sessions. It restores clarity where there has been confusion, stability where there has been chaos, and hope where despair once lingered. It helps people think coherently again, regain their footing, and move forward with renewed purpose.
Your generosity is making this possible. You are helping transform pain into healing and fear into strength. Every counseling session, every support group, and every life touched through the Community Support and Resilience Center is a reflection of your love and faith in action.
Thank you for standing with the people of Israel during one of the most difficult seasons in their history. Through your prayers and support, you are helping a wounded nation once again find its way toward healing, restoration, and hope.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY FOR BEING A SOURCE OF COMFORT AND RESILIENCE TO HIS PEOPLE.
Top to bottom:
Yonathan Almeida, a clinical psychologist, pastor, and manager of the Community Support and Resilience Center, leads this vital work with compassion, expertise, and a deep commitment to healing.
Almeida has assembled a skilled team of professionals to respond to the overwhelming and ongoing demand for trauma therapy and counseling across Israel.
The Community Support and Resilience Center serves as a central hub, connecting individuals and families with psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other specialized caregivers.
In addition to serving trauma victims, the center strengthens and supports therapists themselves, providing tools, education, and resources as they carry the weight of national suffering. Through online training and ongoing support, the center equips professionals nationwide while helping them process their own emotional burdens during this season of collective trauma.
CALLED TO STAND AT THE CROSSROADS
Have you ever paused to consider why God led Abraham away from the advanced cities of Mesopotamia and into the land of Canaan? From a human perspective, the move made little sense. Mesopotamia offered wealth, culture, and stability. Canaan seemed smaller, less developed, and far more vulnerable. Yet God chose that place for a purpose.
Scripture gives us other examples of this same pattern. Samuel, after traveling throughout Israel to judge the people, always returned to Ramah, his hometown. Paul chose to remain in Ephesus for an extended season during his ministry. These choices were not random. Canaan, Ramah, and Ephesus all shared a defining feature: They were crossroads.
The land of Canaan lay between the great powers of the ancient world. Egypt ruled to the south, and the Mesopotamian empires dominated the north. Any major movement of armies, traders, or ideas passed through this narrow land bridge between Africa and Asia. By placing His people there, God positioned His message at the center of the known world.
Ramah occupied a similar role on a smaller scale. It sat at the intersection of the main roads running through the hill country of Israel. By returning there, Samuel placed himself where people from many regions could reach him. His leadership and judgment flowed outward because he lived where paths converged.
Ephesus served as one of the most important cities of the Roman world. Merchants traveling east and west passed through its harbor. Visitors journeyed there to worship Artemis in her famous temple. When Paul settled in Ephesus, he chose a city saturated with commerce,
religion, and influence. Living at that crossroads meant that the Gospel would travel wherever people went next.
God often works this way. He places His people in visible, influential spaces where faithfulness will be seen and heard. Living at the crossroads is not always comfortable. These places are usually busy, diverse, and filled with competing loyalties and beliefs. Yet God often calls His people to live obediently there, not to withdraw or isolate themselves.
Paul did not hide from the culture of Ephesus. He lived among its people and faithfully proclaimed God’s kingdom in the midst of it. His obedience challenged the city’s idols and exposed the emptiness of false worship. God’s kingship was made visible through a life lived faithfully at the crossroads.
The same question remains for us today. Where are the crossroads of our world? Where do people gather, pass through, and exchange ideas? More personally, where has God placed you? Your workplace, neighborhood, family, or online presence may be a crossroads where God desires to reveal His truth through your life.
God still positions His people where paths meet. He still calls us to live faithfully, speak wisely, and act obediently so that others may see His reign at work. When we embrace our place at the crossroads, our lives become signposts pointing others toward the King.
PRAYER:
Father, open my eyes to the crossroads in my life. Show me where You have placed me to reflect Your truth and Your love. Give me wisdom and obedience so that my life may point others to You. Amen.
