After his fatherâs death, Malikiâs world fell into silence and despair. Poverty forced him out of school, and hopelessness shadowed every stepâuntil God met him in a dream. Three nights in a row, the same radiant ďŹgure appeared. âI had the same dream three times,â he said. âI knew it was Godâs voice.â
Hungry to know more about Jesus, Maliki searched online and found Jawaban.com, CBN Indonesiaâs ministry website. There, he connected with staff at the CBN Prayer Center who prayed with him and led him to Christ.
Today, Malikiâs heart is renewed. Now baptized, he fervently studies theology and shares his testimony with others. Through the compassion of CBN partners, a life once marked by sorrow now shines with hope, purpose, and the promise of eternity.

You are helping thirsty families escape disease, despair, and hopelessness

magine watching your children cry from thirst and knowing the only water you can offer may make them sick. For countless families in impoverished communities, this is the heartbreaking reality. Their only options are muddy pools, stagnant ponds, or polluted streamsâwater teeming with harmful bacteria and parasites. Yet they have no choice but to drink.
This contaminated water can cause chronic illnessâor even death. The World Health Organization estimates that unsafe drinking water leads to more than half a million deaths each year. Behind those numbers are mothers, fathers, and children longing for one simple gift: clean, safe water.

Through CBNâs Operation Blessing, compassionate friends like you are stepping into their suffering with the love of Christâ providing life-changing clean water
solutions to some of the worldâs most desperate people.
Each morning, Meoly woke before sunrise and began her long trek for water. âMy neighbors and I trekked through the wilderness, climbed hills, and went down dangerous ditches and rocky terrain to get to where we fetch water,â she said. âWhen I ďŹnally got there, many people would be waiting in line. The journey back was even tougher. I walked slowly and carefully because of the heavy water on my back.â

That water, though precious, was never enough. Meoly used it sparinglyâfor cooking, washing a few clothes, and giving her goats a sip. Still, by dayâs end, every drop was gone. Her grandchildren often went to school in dirty uniforms, unbathed and embarrassed. âWhen the water ran out,â she said, âI went back and made the same journey
again. At the end of the day, every part of my body ached.â
When Operation Blessing learned about her hardship, kindhearted donors helped install a solar-powered well and water treatment system in her village in southern Kenya. A convenient water kiosk now provides safe, clean water to families who once struggled.
âOur water problems are over!â Meoly said joyfully. âEven my grandchildren fetch water easily now. We can bathe any time we like, wash laundry effortlessly, and my livestock drink all they need. With the burden of trekking removed, I have time to rest. Thank you so much for bringing us water!â
Where there was once exhaustion and despair, now there is health, dignity, and hope.
In a small rural community in southern

Mexico, Maria knows the daily struggle of living without water. A widow for 15 years, she works hard to care for her two childrenâEloria, 14, and Fernando, 23. Her children farm to help feed the family, but water has always been their greatest challenge.
During the rainy season, Maria collects water from a nearby source 10 minutes away. But from February to May, the water dries up. When that happens, Maria and her children must borrow a car or walk an hour and a half through rocky terrain to another community, each carrying heavy containers.
Even that water is not always safe. Once, after walking for hours, they discovered it was contaminated with sewageâbut used it anyway just to wash clothes. âSometimes, my children would fall on the rocky path and come home scratched and tired,â Maria said.

âWe did all we could, but it was never enough.â
When Operation Blessing learned of Mariaâs situation, everything changed. With the support of partners, a rainwater harvesting and ďŹltration system was built right in her communityâturning scarcity into abundance. Now clean water ďŹows near her home, freeing the family from dangerous journeys and constant worry.
For Maria, the gift is more than water. Itâs peace of mind and a new vision for her familyâs future.
For the families of Baan Nong Khae, Thailand, every dry season once meant desperation. As shallow wells ran dry and rainwater disappeared, parents faced impossible choicesâspend scarce income on costly water or ration what little they had. Children often fell ill, and life revolved around the daily struggle for clean water. Generations endured this hardshipâuntil our generous partners brought hope.
Operation Blessing drilled a deep 64-meter well and installed a water treatment systemâsupplying safe water for all 255 residents. Mothers
can now cook and clean freely, and children can drink without fear of sickness.
For 9-year-old Wiphada, the change is life-giving. âWe are glad to have this project,â she said happily. âThe water is clear and odorless. Having access to clean drinking water helps us stay healthy. Thank you for providing good water for our community.â
Operation Blessing also trained local residents to maintain the well and taught families about hygiene, safe storage, and keeping the village clean. At the well dedication ceremony, the church gathered to celebrate and read Jesusâ words: âBut those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty againâ (John 4:14 NLT).
This well represents more than physical refreshmentâitâs a promise of hope and new life, made possible through caring friends like you.
These are only a few of the thirsty communities where CBN partners are bringing relief. In addition to clean water, you help feed the hungry, care for the sick, and rush aid to disaster survivors. You also share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through television and streaming mediaâoffering âliving waterâ to thirsty hearts.
Your partnership brings practical help and eternal hopeâclean water for today and the message of Jesus that transforms lives forever.

During my work as a journalist, I talked to many believers around the world who had lost their familiesâdisowned for following Christ. I met men and women who had been imprisoned, beaten, or banished because of their faith. Some were even threatened with death.
I often asked myself what my faith was costing me. I lived in the U.S., where I could freely worship God. It cost me very little, if anything, to say the words, âI am a Christian.â
Yet Jesus Himself tells us to consider the cost.
âIf you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my discipleâ (Luke 14:27 NLT).
So, what is my faith worth if it costs me nothing?
I think about Mary, who poured an expensive jar of perfume over Jesusâ feet. It cost almost a yearâs wages, yet I believe she knew it wasnât enough. She was indebted to Him. And Jesus was about to pay the ultimate priceâHis life!
âI tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernelsâa plentiful harvest of new livesâ (John 12:24).
This is the heart of sacriďŹce. Do we love our lives more than Him? Or are we willing to give it all up in exchange for eternity with Christ?
So now I ask: Am I willing to go where God calls me to go, regardless of what it costs? Will I surrender my life completely to Christ every single day?
That is our challenge as believers. Each day, we must choose to follow Jesus, deny ourselves, and follow Him above everything elseâeven though it costs us everything.

Because Truth MattersÂŽ

What is the di erence between God and Allah? Are Christians and Muslims really praying to the same God?
This is an important and sensitive question. In Arabic, Christians reading their Bible use the word Allah to refer to God, because that is simply the Arabic word for âGod.â The issue is not the name itself, but the character and attributes of the one being worshiped. When Scripture reveals God, He is shown as a God of love who calls us to love even our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save and reconcile us to Himself. In many Islamic teachings about Allah, those core truthsâGod as Father, Jesus as His Son, sacriďŹ cial love, and graceâare denied or understood very diff erently.
So while the word can be the same in Arabic, the biblical God revealed in Jesus is not the same as the Allah described in Islam.

As we prepare for Easter next month, letâs ask the Lord to renew our faith with a fresh appreciation of what He has done for us.
The miracle of Jesus being raised from the dead is so amazing that even one of His own disciples couldnât believe it! In John 20:24-25, we learn how âDoubting Thomasâ earned his nickname:

Now Thomas âŚ, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, âWe have seen the Lord.â So he said to them, âUnless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my ďŹnger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.â
Despite that blunt denial, Jesus responds with mercy:
After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, âPeace to you!â Then He said to Thomas, âReach your ďŹnger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believingâ (vv. 26-27).

And thatâs when Thomas declares, âMy Lord and my God!â
Jesus replies, âThomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.â He then makes a wonderful proclamation that extends down through the ages to us today: âBlessed are those who have not seen and yet have believedâ (v. 29).
He invites you to reach out in faith and see that His wound is engraved with your name. For God says in Isaiah 49:16, âSee, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.â
And just like Jesus told Thomas, He challenges us today. As the New Living Translation puts it, âDonât be faithless any longer. Believe!â God bless you.
