YOUR GLOBAL IMPACT

LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING AROUND THE WORLD!

JAMAICA

When Hurricane Melissa battered Jamaica, you helped shine a bright light into the storm’s aftermath. Sasha and her children arrived at a relief center weary and unsure—but were welcomed with warm meals, solar lights, and compassionate care. “I saw hope, because I can see that there are others who still care for us,” Sasha said. “It’s like a home away from home.” Through CBN’s Operation Blessing, you are helping to provide ongoing medical aid, vital supplies, and the rebuilding of homes and community infrastructure—a true light of hope for families starting over.

INDONESIA

Your support of CBN Indonesia’s Parenting Project is making a generational impact. More than 800 parents from 127 partner churches have completed a biblical parenting course designed to strengthen families and shape Christ-centered homes. Graduates are now applying practical, faith-based tools to nurture their children’s character and spiritual growth—and sharing what they’ve learned with others in their communities.

WHEN HOPE REACHED A VILLAGE IN MYANMAR

Discover how one girl’s faith transformed the lives of her family

Twelve-year-old Htet Htet in Myanmar grew up in a Buddhist family facing constant struggle. Although her father worked long hours as a security guard, her family barely got by, and cataracts clouded her vision. Life felt hopeless—until she joined a Superbook Sunday school class supported by compassionate CBN partners.

Through CBN Animation’s Superbook episodes like “Jonah” and “The Road to Damascus,” Htet Htet discovered the power of prayer and learned that God truly listens. Her faith grew when her cataracts were removed and she could see again.

As her family witnessed God’s miracles through their daughter’s faith, they all gave their lives to Jesus and were baptized. Thank you for helping make stories like Htet Htet’s possible during CBN’s Child Evangelism Month. Your support of Superbook is reaching children with the Gospel and inspiring families to follow Christ.

On April 5, 2008, “A Giant Adventure”—the first episode of CBN Animation’s newly reimagined Superbook series—premiered at a special partner event in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

DOORWAY The VICTORY to

When Jesus cried out from the cross, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” in Matthew 27:46, He was not expressing fear or abandonment. He was pointing His followers to the amazing set of prophecies in Psalm 22. His words are the opening line of a psalm written by King David nearly 1,000 years before Christ was born—long before the Roman Empire existed or crucifixion was devised as the most torturous and humiliating method of execution imaginable.

By quoting that first verse, Jesus was doing what rabbis of His time often did to invoke the entire psalm. And what follows in Psalm 22 is a stunningly accurate description of what Jesus was enduring in that moment:

All those who see Me ridicule Me … saying, “He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescue Him.” … I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out

of joint. … My tongue clings to My jaws. … They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.

It’s astounding to consider that Jesus’ death was described so clearly 10 centuries before it happened. How could David have seen these exact details unless God revealed them to him?

Jesus was fulfilling every part of that ancient prophecy. His cry from the cross was not a wail of defeat, but a declaration of divine purpose: “This has all been foretold. I am the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. I am the Messiah.”

The psalm continues with this great promise: All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.

For the kingdom is the LORD’s, and He rules over the nations.

Instead of being the end of the story, the cross serves as the doorway to

victory. Jesus didn’t just die; He rose again. The Su ering Servant becomes the victorious King.

This is the power of Easter. The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith. It proves that His sacrifice for our sins was accepted, the grave has no hold on us, and every word God has ever spoken can always be trusted.

Through the cross, Jesus took on our su ering. Through the resurrection, He gives us His life, which lasts for all eternity. Thanks to Him, we are not bound by our past, by sin, by guilt, by shame, or by death. We are invited into new life, new purpose, and new hope.

As Romans 6:4 says, Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Easter o ers more than a mere memory of what was done. It is an invitation to step into what Christ has made possible for all who believe in Him—today, tomorrow, and forever.

Psalm 22 concludes by saying, They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this. Today, you and I are part of that prophetic declaration as we proclaim the Good News of salvation to millions of people around the world.

Yes, Jesus has done it all. His cry was for your sake and mine, that we would remember how all of this was foretold. He fulfilled the Scriptures. He defeated death. He has made a way for all nations to return and be reconciled to God.

So, this Easter, don’t just remember the story—respond to it. Worship the Risen Savior. Rejoice in fulfi lled prophecy. And walk in the victory that Jesus has secured for you through His cross and empty tomb.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia!

Scripture is quoted from the NKJV.

e Ultimate Sacri ce

It was Good Friday when the Father and the Son gave their greatest gift of love to mankind. It would demand the ultimate sacrifice.

Jesus hung on the rough-hewn, Roman cross waiting to die. A crown of thorns dug deep into his brow, mocking his divinity. Carpenter nails hammered through His hands and feet belied His power to pay the penalty for sin and death and destroy the works of the devil. The precious intimacy between God and his children would be restored at a horrible cost.

Jesus endured shame, betrayal, pain, and death to give birth to the body of Christ, as He was called to carry out His ministry on earth.

“If anyone desires to come after Me,” Jesus says in Luke 9:23, “let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (NKJV).

To “deny oneself” is not asceticism, but a choice to make God’s kingdom the highest priority. To “take up your cross” is to forsake selfish ambition for the fulfillment of the Gospel. To “follow Him” means drawing close to Jesus, listening for His voice, obeying His Word, and conforming to His ways.

An amazing paradox comes with full commitment. Mark 10:30 promises we will “receive a hundredfold now in this time … and in the age to come, eternal life.”

Our lives become power-packed adventures as we preach the Gospel with miraculous signs, confirming that we are indeed disciples and ambassadors of Christ!

Q&A

Is it right or wrong to give one of your kidneys to someone who isn’t a family member? Does the Bible say anything about this?

Anything done in love is right. When you love someone so much that you’re willing to donate one of your organs, that is absolutely incredible—you’re living out what the Bible calls the law of love. Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13 NKJV ).

If you say, “I’m a match—I can share one of my kidneys so my friend can live,” you are behaving like Jesus. That’s exactly what He did—He laid down His life so we could have life forever with Him. Hebrews 12:2 says, Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross ( NLT ).

Surgery and recovery are not easy. There is pain and risk involved. But a heart that says, “I want to do this so my friend can live,” is refl ecting the love of Christ in a beautiful way.
