South Water Street is home to Water Street Studios, Batavia’s community art center. Harnessing the creative energy of the city, forwardthinking civic leaders, Batavia Artists Association and volunteer artists made this new venue possible. Water Street Studios is passionate about the arts and you!

We encourage volunteers who are interested in assisting instructors, staffing the gallery and helping out during special events. Education Water Street Studios offers a community-based arts education program geared towards children, teens, adults and senior citizens - from beginners to experts. It is our philosophy that everyone from preschoolers to seniors can use art in their lives. All classes are staffed by professional and working artists and operate on a trimester schedule. The range of class choices includes: ■ Painting/Drawing ■ Pottery ■ Welding/Sculpting ■ Mixed
Gallery ■ One of the largest fine art galleries in the tri-cities area ■ All media invited ■ Exhibits rotate every four months ■ Gift certificates available ■ Special events throughout the year ■ Rental available for corporate events Gallery and studio applications available online.
