Welcome to the 1st Annual Inaugural Young Guns Bull & Heifer Sale! We are incredibly excited to offer up a new sale at the world renowned Innisfail Auction Mart! Although this is the first sale, we all have many years of experience selling cattle within the commercial and purebred industry. Our sale is a smaller offering but one that is full of quality. Our focus has been to bring forth an offering packed full of potential that is going to work in all breeding situations and operations.
We are a consignor group that is made up of âyoung gunsâ, representing the next generation. We may be young, but we have been in the industry our entire lives! We would like to take the time to thank everyone who got us here from our families, mentors and previous buyers.
It is an incredibly exciting time within the cattle industry with cattle prices never seen before. Our herds are made up of cattle and genetics that stand the test of time that we hope will continue on in your own programs. A $100 will be taken off the sale purchase price if the consignor themselves takes their purchase home the day of the sale.
All bulls are backed by the seller and guaranteed to be satisfactory breeders as per the CSA Bylaws. All bulls of 12 month of age and older will be semen tested, palpated and scrotal measurement taken by an accredited veterinarian. Information will be available sale day.
All bulls returning to consignorâs farm MUST be insured. Bulls can be kept at our farms at no cost up until April 30, 2026; after that $5.00/day will be charged for feed costs. Delivery will be arranged as soon as itâs mutually agreed upon by the seller and purchaser. Bulls will be delivered free of charge within 200km of consignorâs location. Delivery beyond will be arranged at cost.

On behalf of myself & my family, I would like to take this moment to welcome each of you to the Young Guns Bull Sale - what an exciting time to be in the cattle industry!! Cattle production is in my roots, going back many many generations, and we take pride in the commercial cows we have raised over the years. In 2020 I decided to build on my passion for the Simmental breed & expand our herd by adding several new purebred females sourced from many of my mentors in the breed. We utilize AI genetics & walking herd sires, also branching out into embryo transfers. I am passionate about the breed & connecting with peers whether at shows, sales or helping with bull sale prep.
We are a family operation & all play an integral part in the day to day - my dad Alvin looks after daily feeding & fixing everything that breaks, my mom Charlotte does most of the calving checks, looks after our cattle records & helps keep my head on straight! I fill in where I can, having just graduated from Olds College in April & now working full time, itâs important for all of us to play our part.
Our bull offering is small again this year with only 5 bulls but we are confident that each will add value to your future calf crops. Unfortunately there are no heifer bulls on offer, with that being said this is strong set of cow bulls. Our bulls are fed free choice wheat silage bales, grass hay, 15% bull ration from Trouw Nutrition, lick tank molasses along with salt/mineral. Our bulls are not pushed hard, we want them to develop for longevity & maintain condition during breeding season. *Below is our vaccination program developed with our vet - Dr. Rob deHaan with Innisfail Veterinary Clinic.

If you are looking for a super quiet bull to have in your herd, Azkaban is the one to take a look at. His dam is nicknamed âPet Cowâ & he has her same easy going disposition. Another percentage bull, with a splash of fullblood going back to a cow we purchased many years ago & retired from our herd at 17 years old.
MRC BROKER 260Z MATERNAL GRAND SIRE OF LOT 2, 3, 4 & 5 Broker was a phenomenal bull for us at a time when we werenât registering anything yet, but built a solid foundation of daughters that are our top producers.
Big Dipper is our only black bull on offer this year, and while he is only 75% Simmental, he has the added touch of black angus on the dam side. His dam is sired by a son of Hoc Broker & sheâs been a no miss type cow - perfect feet, udder, disposition, size - always raising one of the top calves each year. 520N will definitely add pounds to your calves in the fall with the possibility of a little chrome!

Red Purebred If youâre in the business of putting pounds on cattle, this is the bull for you! 421M is a polled dark cherry red performance cow bull that is hard to miss. He is incredibly long spined and smooth through the shoulder to provide extra calving ease. 421M is a Waldron Konan son who goes back to the great calving ease sire, Rugged R Cavill. The Konan progeny grow rapidly with fantastic muscle definition and are incredibly quiet. We are calving the first daughters and they are laying down picture perfect udders. 421Mâs dam has been the backbone of my red purebred program. At 13 years old, her udder is incredibly perfect and she continues to be one of my top cows, weaning 421M off with an ADG of 3.4 lbs/day. 421M was used on a small group of AI cows as a clean up bull as we truly believe in his potential. 7/8 Simmental Now here is a bull who has been a standout from the moment he hit the ground! 54N is a cat on the move, long spined with fantastic natural muscling, depth of rib and capacity. His first calf dam, did an incredible job and is a young cow with a very bright future here. Her milking ability is second to none and her udder placement couldnât be better. 54N hails from the Jessie cow family which has built the Skylark herd. These cows are incredibly maternal. They do a great job and look really good doing it! 54N is a son of MRL Sleep Easy 140D and with Virginia Marquee and Kuntz Sheriff in the pedigree, there is more than ample calving ease in this bull. 54N is the perfect balance of calving ease that wont sacrifice on performance in a polled package. Honestly doesnât get much better than that!

Fleckvieh Fullblood This bull is hard to miss! Mostly because he is so quiet that he is the first one to the fence for scratches. 511N is a Crossroad Pilot son out of a first calf heifer that I purchased from Richlan Farms. Pilot is known for his incredible calving ease and this is showcased with 511N having a CE of 10.9 ( top 20% of the breed). 511N calves will come small but grow very quickly. Richlan Lexi 7N is a tanky powerhouse of a cow that is structurally correct and maternal with phenomenal milking ability. 511N weaned off at 834lbs with an ADG of 3.14 lbs/day. This is a bull that is going to provide incredible calving ease AND carcass abilities. He truly is the best of both worlds and would be versatile in many different breeding operations. NDO Mr. Saturday Night is my consignment to the sale. He is a very smooth made bull with some pretty cool pigment on him as well heâs a lower birthweight bull but to say the least heâs got some power behind him in his pedigree. I would not classify him as a heifer bull. Heâs got excellent growth while also maintaining calving ease, he is the type of bull that adds muscle and shape with tons of growth for your calves in the fall while still having the calving ease to soften up the work load. His pedigree on the top side is chock full with calving ease with his sire Virginia Precision. I canât say enough good things about his dam Anchor D Lelena. Truly the best cow in my fullblood herd, I purchased her in 2024 from Anchor D Simmentals.This is her first calf and she put everything she had into him. Sheâs got a perfectly placed utter, really good footed, very well tempered. She passed that trait onto Mr. Saturday Night as he is an absolute pet! If you want a bull thatâll make good calves with muscle and shape in your pen, this is the bull for you.

Long, smooth made and well built, this bull will work most anyway you choose to use him. Pillar has quickly become one of my favourite black bulls to use on Fleck influence cows for good reason.
