Many great friendships and wonderful sale partnerships have led us to this point. As you can see, we are in this cattle business for the long haul! What a year for the beef industry. We thought last year was good, well this year reached a point I think none of us ever saw coming. Lets take advantage of record prices, its about time. TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at the sale location. Credit arrangements may be made with individual contributors prior to sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers not in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be ﬁnal. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Proper instructions must be provided at the conclusion of the sale. Extensions granted on order bids only. Costs incurred due to incorrect transfer will be born by the purchaser. Ownership will not be transferred until full settlement has been made. GUARANTEE: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Hereford Association with regards to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and speciﬁc genetic unsoundness. LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The owners, their employees, sales staff and representatives, and facility owner assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. HEALTH: All sale cattle are on the Complete Herd Health Program and will be Ivermectin prior to sale day. DELIVERY: BULLS: We will deliver free within a 300 mile radius on single purchases over $6000. Every assistance will be given in the arranging of shipping and delivery of your purchases. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. All U.S. purchases will be delivered to our closest border crossing unless other arrangements are made with the consignors. WINTERING PROGRAM: Charge of wintering bulls will be at cost, and will be announced at the sale. INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value. XTC TWO YEAR OLD HORNED HEREFORD BULLS

XTC Ranches strives to raise ranch ready cattle with a focus on feet and fleshing ability. We require easy doing cattle here in Eastend, and want to provide our customers with the same low maintenance type of cattle. We believe that when we sell bulls to the commercial rancher, the bull will adapt to any environment they are put in. Our cows are raised on primarily native grass year round, and we try to winter graze all of the cows as far into winter that mother nature allows us to do. Between April 1-5 the cows are cut off from feed and are moved to stockpiled native grass in large fields to calve out, with using only the natural topography of the ranch for shelter. Therefore, we allow our environment to be one of our best selection tools. The bulls are grown out slowly the first winter with minimal grain intake, and are grassed in the summer with a few pounds of supplemental pellets. The bulls spent the end of summer and fall on about 70 acres of grass while we started getting them ready for the sale. They remained on this chunk of ground right up until a couple weeks before the sale. From short marked goggle eyes to yellow feathernecks we feel there is a bull here for everyone. No bulls have had their feet trimmed.

I like this lot 1 bull a lot. To me, its all about the cow families here. This guy combines the two best cows on this ranch. 7E (paternal granddam) and 25Z (dam). We sold 29K as a calf in our sale a few years ago to Wilson Colony. We have now rented him back for 3 years. Currently he is our favourite herd bull used on the place. 25Z has produced us over 50,000 worth of natural sons sold. Last years bull sold for 14,000 to Wilson and two years ago her son sold to Dryden Doege for 13,500. Take the pedigree aside, there isnt a more athletic, thicker, wider topped bull in our offering. Just a May 15th bull. 25Z is coming 14 years old and still producing at a high level here. She is an elite cow within our breed. Full pigment on the other eye. Have a look at the video.

Very long sided, smooth, stylish, pigmented. 66E is one of our last 79Y daughters. They were great cows. I think 85M is a real herd bull in the making. Total package. One of our heaviest bulls at weaning. Great disposition on this good prospect. We are as high on 29K as we have been on any sire here before. First year we used him as a calf, so didnt put many with him. Expect a larger crop out him the next 2 years.

Good meat and potatoes bull here that should pass on all the great traits in this guys pedigree. 11E has been a great producer for us. Daughters are always near the top of the pen and are always retained. If I was to pick a bull out of this group for our commercial herd I would start here. Here we go. Likely the most impressive bull in the offering. He is a March bull that came in dam from T bar K. He was suppose to go in the bull sale as a yearing last year, but we pulled him out because we really felt we wanted to feature him in our sale as a 2 year old this year. 2 year olds are our program and it was important that he was held back. Im glad we did, he will get everyones attention sale day. There is a good chance he walks into the ring to start the sale on Jan 30th.

We bought 314J with DW Herefords when he lead off Misty Valley’s sale and was high seller a few years ago for $18,000. Unfortunately he got injured only a few days into breeding for us. Luckily he did get a few cows bred. Have a good look!

If you like them yellow here you go. Combining 7E with 37H will make as good of females as you’ll ﬁnd.

We feel like over the course of the 2 sales we picked 4 very good females that are all still here thriving. 06H has a great udder, and her replacement this year was retained. 168M has a bit of pep to his step, but wow will he ever breed a bunch of cows. We decided to throw 2 hereford yearling heifer bulls in the sale because we think there will be demand for heifer bulls for a couple years here. They should work well. Sire is backed by a really good pedigree. 72J was sold in our sale a few years ago, we got him back to use on our heifers. Youll notice our great 7E and 19G cows there. Not a huge sample size, but 72J calved 80 percent unassisted. The other 20 percent, were not hard pulls, just need a bit of help.
