It is with great pride that we welcome you to the 40th Annual Vermilion Charolais Group Bull Sale. Reaching this milestone is a true testament to the dedication and commitment of the breeders who have contributed to this sale over the past four decades, as well as the loyal buyers who continue to support it year after year.
We are proud to recognize Misty Hills Charolais, Good Anchor Charolais, and the Davidson family, who have been part of the Vermilion Charolais Group Bull Sale since its very beginning, and Lakeview Charolais for the last 18 years. We also acknowledge Jim Pulyk and Harvey Trach, who both served as sale ringmen from the inaugural sale and played an important role in the success of this event. Their long-standing involvement has helped shape the strong foundation on which this sale is built.
One of the most remarkable achievements of the Vermilion Charolais Group is the number of repeat buyers who have faithfully returned for bulls throughout all 40 years. This continued support speaks volumes about the trust our customers place in the program.

To celebrate our 20th sale we initiated our Win Back Your Bull Purchase, where one lucky buyer will have the opportunity to win back their bull purchase, up to $10,000, through our buyer’s draw at the conclusion of the sale. This year marks the 21st year of this draw which is unique to our sale.
In addition, the Vermilion Charolais Group is pleased to offer a Full Mortality and Loss of Use Warranty on bull purchases, available until September 30, 2026, for a 6% premium, providing added peace of mind and protection for your investment.

Welcome to Our 2026 Bull Sale!
Thank you to our valued customers for your continued support and confidence in our program. The past few years have been very encouraging, with strong cattle markets and excellent demand for Charolais-influenced calves. It is rewarding to see the performance and acceptance of Lakeview sired calves in today’s market.
We are very pleased with this year’s offering and remain focused on producing the kind of bulls our customers expect—sound feet and leg structure, good muscle and growth, strong hair, quiet dispositions, and practical calving ease.

Lakeview Legend 27M is a low birthweight bull who is extremely smooth and level made. His natural thickness and muscling is something we really appreciate in this bull and think he will pass to his calves.
63M has been a favourite of ours since day one. His dam has raised many favourites including Lakeview Magnifique 14K sold to Big Sky Cattle Co. We love this bull for the amount of muscle he possesses and the foot structure he stands on. He’s long and deep bodied and comes in a red factor package!

This C2 Jeremiah son is a moderate framed bull that stands on top of a good foot. We really appreciate him for the expression of natural thickness, attractive small head, and he has an easy going attitude to boot.

2026 marks 50 years that Misty Hills Charolais has sold purebred Charolais bulls. For the 40th Vermilion Charolais Group Sale offering is again anchored by sons of LAE Fresno 809F. We calve on grass in the hills in May & June. Bulls are slowly grown out and wintered in a 80 acre pen.
Our success is based on satisfied repeat customers, which is greatly appreciated.

2025 Bull Winner, Dale Zeimerman said “he didn’t feel like he deserved to win, since it was his first time buying from the VCG sale” So instead he decided to donated his winnings to various charities including Vermilion Hospital, Children’s Stollery and STARS.

FULL MORTALITY
AND LOSS-OF-USE
BULL WARRANTY
The Vermilion Charolais Group will continue to warranty our bulls as we have in the past, and strive to be leaders in customer service. Buying a bull can be a big expense and we want to work with you to help mitigate the risk of that purchase. As such, we are offering an extended warranty for our bulls for 6 months at a cost of 6%, to a maximum of $15,000. Warranty covers 100% of purchase price, less salvage value, in the event of a bull’s death or injury including infertility due to accident or illness. This does not replace breeders guarantee. Warranty will be paid out in the form of a credit to be used at future Vermilion Charolais Group bull sales. The credit can be applied to any bull at the sale. If you find a bull privately from one of the contributors that you feel adequately replaces your bull, you are free to replace your bull this way. However, no further credit will be given at Vermilion Charolais Group bull sales. Any claim requires a vet check or proof of death, and must be reported to one of the contributors by September 30, 2026. No claim should be more than the purchase price. Our full mortality and loss of use warranty is in addition to any warranties the contributors have always had. We ask that all bulls boarded by the contributors after the sale be covered by our extended warranty or some other form of insurance.
