Welcome to the 4th Annual Tri K Cattle Co. Bull & Female Sale, featuring guest consignor Albrecht Farms. Join us sale day with a 3:00 PM start, and plan to stay afterward for outstanding hospitality and a great meal following the sale.
I couldn’t be more proud to be involved with the Hodges family. They continue to raise the bar year after year, and the quality in the bull pens has taken another major step forward. This is a powerful set of beef bulls with extra muscle shape, depth, and performance that will push the scale down.
The offering includes a large group of 23 black bulls, led by a standout Captain Blaze son out of the renowned Skors Melody 302Z donor cow. He’s chromed up and ready to go to work as a herd bull. As a sire group, the Circle G Line Drive sons were extremely impressive when viewed in early January—heavy muscled, big sided, long bodied, and built on excellent skeletal structure. There is also a strong selection suitable for the heifer pen, highlighted by an exciting State of War son, along with a solid group of KWA Slider sons.
The red and Fullblood bulls may be fewer in number, but they are strong in quality—hairy, big sided, and heavy muscled. The red bull group is led by sons of KKH Executive 48L, the high-selling bull to Rick Haltiner a couple of years ago. A couple of blaze-faced bulls will definitely catch your eye, backed by dams with proven track records. In the Fullblood division, the powerful Dutton son stands out and is hard to miss.
The female offering includes 15 quality commercial heifers along with 3 fancy registered females. With the cattle industry at an all-time high, these females represent an excellent opportunity to move your program forward.
Albrecht Farms has taken another step forward in quality this year as well. Leading their offering is a powerful Walk the Line–sired bull with added frame, lots of muscle shape, and performance—he will be heavy by sale day. The RF Capacity sons in the black bulls are big barreled, stout, and packed with muscle. If calving ease is a priority, be sure to check out the Kentucky sons.
Make the drive to Tri K Cattle Co. on February 28 for great hospitality and an excellent set of bulls backed by even better people. If you’re unable to attend the sale in person, please contact any member of the Transcon team—we’re happy to help.
See you sale day!

Welcome to the fourth annual Bull and Female sale. It is hard to believe that it has been four years since we brought the bull sale home. There truly has not been anything more rewarding than having a full barn of friends, family, and customers on sale day there to support us. Much of the same to report for the year battling another drought and wondering if the dugouts would last the summer. We got enough rain to get something grown on the silage and grain crop sides and our lowland in Valhalla saved our butts for fall grazing once we weaned the calves. The bull pen is strong again this year with a couple new sire groups that sure worked well for us. The Linedrive bulls are such a consistent and powerful sire group, and they offer outcross genetics for everyone who has used an Executive son over the years! Red bulls are represented well by the Camden and RHM sire groups. Fullbloods is a bit of everything pedigree wise with an absolute standout in the BEE Dutton calf that came in our Rendezvous cow from their dispersal. The purebred and commercial heifers represent the next generation of cows coming through the ranks of the herd. We feel like this is a sale where there truly is something for everyone. We invite everyone to the farm Saturday Feb 28/2026 to have a look at the bulls and stay to enjoy supper and social after the sale.
We would like to thank a few people who helped us out feed and straw wise so we could try to keep as many cows as we could for the 2026 calving season. Keegan and Ashley Johnson of Johnson Family Farms for letting me bale behind the x9500’s ha-ha, jokes aside you could not make better straw then that stuff. Todd & Jessie Evans of Whispering Willow Farm who knew New Hollands even dropped nice straw…
Bulls can be viewed anytime before the sale and we strongly encourage you to come to the farm prior to the sale to check out the bulls and their dams and some of the sisters in the replacement pen. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you sale day!

• 544N has the look, the length, the thickness and the maternal power to make one heck of a breeding bull
• Our 302z females are becoming some of the best young cows in the herd and I think the breeding potential this guy has is unlimited. We have a blazed face full sister that is special in the replacement pen

Welcome to the 4th annual Tri K Cattle Bull & Female Sale. We would like to thank all previous bidders and buyers for their continued support of our program and the effort to attend our sale year after year. Come join us at Hodges farm on Saturday February 28th at 3pm in Beaverlodge to check out this great offer.
It’s been another busy year at Albrecht Farms. Optimism in the cattle industry has been rejuvenated, with cattle prices reaching all-time highs— it’s encouraging to see producers rewarded for their hard work throughout the year. However, 2025 was not without its challenges. Extreme drought was felt across much of the Peace Country, leaving many areas with feed shortages and limited pasture to graze into the fall. The early accumulation of snow in December across northern AB & BC has been a welcome blessing, and we’re hopeful Mother Nature will continue to provide as we move into 2026. The kids had another busy year and kept us on our toes. Lukas is now in Grade 8 and has moved to Grande Prairie to play U15AAA, this change has been hard on mom and dad but it’s exciting to watch him chase his dream. Benson is now in Grade 5 and back playing HSL in Grande Prairie. Benny has picked up the slack with helping dad on the farm with his big bro living in GP. Elliana is now in Grade 2 and has decided to jump back in hockey, she loves every minute of it and can’t wait to get to the rink.
Albrecht Farms has been an active breeder of red & black Simmental for over 30 years. Our program emphasizes using quality genetics that breeds for soundness, temperament, udder quality and longevity in the rugged terrain we live in. Our bull sale offering this year consists of 8 reds, along with 5 black bulls all out of highly functioning cows from proven genetics. In the red division, will lead off with the Mader Walk The Line 92J Sons followed by a nice group out of our walking herd sire Circle G Kentucky 52K. There’s a feature WTL son that I’m excited about and can’t wait to show him off sale day. The black division is very strong this year. These black bulls are big, rugged, hairy and are going to add pounds. If you’re looking to add calving ease, maternal traits, or simply add some more power to enhance your cow herd I think you’ll find something that meets your needs.
All bulls can be viewed at the farm in LaGlace prior to the sale. Again, this year any customers that view the bulls at the farm prior to the sale will be entered into a draw for a $500 sale credit. If you are unable to attend the sale and plan to join us on DLMS, give Ryan or Steve a call and we can answer any questions you may have. We also encourage you to use the Transcon Team for any assistance you need in finding a bull to meet your needs. Please stick around after the sale for the complimentary Supper and refreshments. We look forward to seeing you on sale day! Ryan

Homo Polled
Here’s the king of the Pen! 8N has excelled at every stage of life and has been admired by all that have seen him when touring. He’s dark red, good-footed, hairy, great depth of rib and has extra length while maintaining that soft middle. I haven’t seen too many WTL sons with the size and length of this guy! What can I say about his dam other than she just flat out produces. Her first calf was our lead off and high seller in the inaugural LOP sale to Jaydawn Farms, her second calf produced RST 6N who will highlight our CE section below and then 8N. She has a full brother on the ground already to 8N that already looks the part at a week old. The Ramona cow family consistently produces awesome footed cattle which is so important in the rugged terrain of the north. This guy will have a lot of friend’s sale day!

Here’s another cherry red WTL son with added presence and thickness. Backed by a very good captain scream daughter that has an awesome foot and is really easy doing. Another cow family that has multi generations of foot and udder quality, no guess work on this one.

101M would be very similar to his paternal brother above in a touch lighter shade of red. This guy has some extra punch ranking in the top 3% for WW and top 10% for YW which will help push down the scale when calves sell in the fall, putting extra money in your pocket. Surprise surprise the dam is another Ramona daughter, the pattern is coming pretty evident here that these cattle flat out produce.

Another lower BW Kentucky 52k son. 29N looks a lot like his sire, dark red, tons of hair, good footed and has some presence to him. His dam was purchased out of the Country Classic from Tri K Cattle, she knocked it out of the park last year on her first calf selling to Brad Giesbrecht as one of our high sellers. Nice blend of CE and performance in this young herd sire.

Here’s a bull that really catches my eye, he’s soft made, hairy, good footed and backed by an awesome cow. RST Sprinkles 1J was purchased as an embryo from Rainbow River Simmentals, she’s the front pasture type with a big square foot and awesome udder. Look for Connecticut to sire an awesome pen of replacement heifers and high-performance set of steers.

Here’s a cool heifer bull prospect. Kansas ranks in the top 15% of the breed for CE and BW while still maintaining muscle shape, top line and exceptional scrotal development. The cow family in this pedigree would be one of our very best with several daughters working in the herd and a few sold through the LOP sale. Foot quality in this cow family is second to none.

RST GRACIE 21G - UDDER DAM OF LOT 53

Homo Polled, Hetero Black
Here’s a pretty cool guy! Jimmy has had the look since day 1 and has been picked out by all that have seen him. He’s got the presence, length, overall thickness, big scrotal and comes with some extra chrome. Where do I start with his dam… When we purchased IPU 43G from Labatte Simmentals I had high hopes due to the track record of IPU 144A but she’s blown expectations out of the water! 43G is one of the nicest easy doing females to look at! Her udder and foot quality is next level, and she has shown the ability to pass this down to her progeny. We successfully flushed 43G last spring to RF Intensity and the calves that are hitting the ground so far are pretty cool and I’m sure will headline next year’s sale. Pretty excited to see what this guy can do!

Homo Polled, Hetero Black Here’s another stud in the black division! 18N has that extra dimension, length, added muscle, foot quality, nice headed and very smooth. He’s going to sire an exceptional set of replacement heifers and make some heavy steers. This cow family has been very good for us, going back to the Noremac cow family. Awesome foot and udder quality and the ability to consistently produce year after year. If you’re in the market for a solid black bull that’s backed by a great cow family, I think this one’s going to work great for you.

Homo Polled, Homo Black
Magnitude is another big, hairy, rugged Capacity son that will catch your attention on sale day. His dam is out of the WFL 46A sire that has produced some awesome productive females for us. 15C goes back to the RST 6X cow that started our Avery cow family for us, anyone that follows our program knows how impactful that cow family has been for us.

Here’s an ET calf going back to the great HC Power drive 88H bull. 9N has loads of hair, wide topped, deep ribbed, and has a big wide rear quarter on him. His dam has produced some dandies for us over the last couple bull sales and we have a full sister to 9N in the replacement pen that we plan to build around. This guy would work extremely well in an angus-based herd, he will add size, weight and hair while maintaining maternal strengths, foot and udder qualities.
Homo Polled, Homo Black
Big Wheel is a solid black, extremely hairy, great footed, soggy made with that added length. A direct son out of LRX Executive 212H who has impacted the Hodges herd immensely. His dam Penelope 20J is a black blazed face female that comes from a strong cow family with a lot of longevity built into her pedigree, look for 15N to improve foot quality while adding extra size and stretch into his offspring.
