Big Hills Simmentals

Welcome to the sale and thank you for joining us in Virden. We are proud to offer our top bulls from both spring and fall calving programs. These bulls represent proven and respected bloodlines from across the industry. Updated genetic testing and videos will be available prior to the sale through the Transcon website.

Marcischuk Farms was founded in 1964 when my parents purchased their first quarter of land northwest of Rackham. Through years of hard work and dedication, the farm grew to include a variety of livestock and cropping enterprises, shaped by the strong work ethic that continues to guide us today.

Our passion for Simmental cattle began with the purchase of our first Simmental bull in 1974. That decision led to decades of involvement with the breed and, in 2002, the opportunity to establish a registered Simmental herd. Since then, we have focused on producing cattle with strong genetics through both natural breeding and artificial insemination, with particular interest in polled Full Blood, Purebred, and Black Simmental cattle.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in our program.

Welcome

Sunshine Oak Charolais

Thank you for being a part of Transcon Livestock’s new sale in Virden and showing interest in our program!

Located near Holland, Manitoba, our family has been grain farming and raising both commercial and purebred Charolais cattle for over 30 years. As a proud multi-generation operation, we have worked together to continually develop and strengthen the genetics of our herd.

Up until now, we’ve sold our cattle by private treaty, this year we’re excited and feel confident in taking part in our first bull sale—featuring 12 of our top yearlings. This offering represents the best of our breeding program, with offspring from four proven, exceptional, herd sires currently working for us.

Whether you’re looking to add a splash of colour with a tan, find a dependable heifer bull, boost your herd’s EPDs, or add some raw power, we’re confident you’ll find something that fits your program.

We welcome visitors to our farm and enjoy walking the pens with fellow cattle producers!

We bought this bull for his calving ease to use on 2nd time calvers, and he has exceeded our expectations! Not only does he have the calving ease we were looking for but he brings superior structure, added length, and a big frame! Little Rock also offers exceptional performance and if EPD’s are your thing he is above average in every category much like his father DC/CRJ Tank E108. Offspring from this sire will add calving ease, growth, and long-term value to anyone’s program.

Needing to add more power, muscle, and length to our breeding program we purchased Denali 3J recognized to many by his father FLC WheatKing 4G. We have seen the maternal strength in our females giving us exciting replacements! He produces high quality, powerful offspring.

Sire of Lots 53 - 56

Nitro is a deep, long hip, structural sound bull. When looking at a bull the mother always comes to mind, his is a smaller easy-going cow (Miss Ezze 70D) that produces. I would keep all his daughters!

NORTHERN 53N

Ninja offers the same power and presence as his brothers. He has ample hair and eye appeal while maintaining depth, rib, shape and structural soundness needed for longevity. Noble has got the hip, length, and depth that should add to the scale come calving time! He’s big topped, stoutly made and built with herd bull character.

JONESYS MISS FIGURES 28Y

Thick, long, and heavy haired. This bull may be the youngest we have on offer but you would never guess it. He’s made miles and has had explosive growth all through the season. His grand sire on the dams side was long as a train and always produced excellent replacement females. If you’re looking to add length, pounds and a hair coat to keep your calves warm in these cold northern winters, look no further.

Welcome Firdale Simmentals

Welcome to the Virden Bull Sale.

We are very excited to show case some of our finest bulls this year. We are a family run purebred and commercial Simmental operation striving to make the best animals we can, by using select AI sires and proven herd bulls. We focus on temperament, udder quality and overall soundness. We are currently running 150 cows 75% of our calves come from home raised bulls so we can confidently back our own program.

We would like to thank past, present and future buyers who continue to believe in our program. Without the support doing what we love wouldn’t be possible. Devon

This guy caught our eye right from the start. He’s a thick deep bodied docile bull sired by the famous Betts bull and out of one of our top producing cows. We are really proud of what this bull has turned into, If you’re looking to make some baldie calves he’s your guy.

A nice moderate framed bull coming from a very maternal cow family, his mother is a female maker and he’s the first bull she’s given us. Crossed with our new herd bull a Hannibal son who has more then impressed us with his first set of calves. His father is Homo Polled and Homo Black and 5N has been tested and results are pending.
