This is an exceptional time to be in the cattle business. As prices continue to hover near record highs and optimism for the future remains strong, the importance of selecting the right herd sire has never been greater. Willowdale, KMR, and Short Grass have once again assembled a highly usable set of bulls, developed slowly and responsibly—not pushed—so they grow with soundness and longevity in mind. Strong emphasis has been placed on structural correctness, with feet, legs, and hair coats built to handle the demanding conditions of the North Peace Country. These bulls are built to thrive and perform, year after year, in the toughest environments.

We were fortunate to add some very high-quality yearling fullbloods with the addition of Joe and Lindsey from Polar Farms. They are among the most progressive young breeders in the Peace Country, investing wisely in the breed and building a product designed to meet the expectations and needs of commercial cattlemen.

We are pleased to be part of Transcon’s Peace Country Simmental Bull Sale. Our goal continues to be to provide quality Simmental breeding stock that is easy calving, polled and growthy.
We have a great selection of homozygous polled, red and black Purebred Simmental bulls. Three of the black bulls were our Pen of 3 that were Reserve Champion at the 2026 Peace Country Beef Congress.
The Black Gold Tycoon 194L, red bull is our newest herdsire. He adds a tremendous amount of rib and calving ease to his bulls. He is also a full brother to SVS Rancher, a bull that adds a lot performance and style to his progeny.
We also have a number of bulls by Maders Fulsom Prison 66L, a heterozygous black calving ease bull, used mainly on heifers. A number of sons in the sale will make heifer bulls (red and black).
Our feeding program changed this year because of low rainfall. We had very little summer pasture and our poorest hay crop ever. Because of this we have hand fed the bulls a “Bullseye Bull ration” since weaning, along with free choice hay.
Our animals have a comprehensive herd health program. Starting at birth, they receive Nasalgen 3PMH along with ADE & selenium. In the spring and again pre-weaning, they get Ten Vision 8 and Express FP5-VL5. All bulls are semen tested and guaranteed to be breeders.

Here is our feature black, Black Gold Tycoon 194L son. He is our top indexing bull at a year old for average daily gain, yearling weight and a WPDA of 3.77 lb/day. His sire is a full brother to SVS Rancher a bull that is respected in the industry for top end progeny.
Willowdale Noble was part of our Reserve Champion pen of 3 bulls at the Peace Country Beef Congress, 2026. He was mothered by a tremendous deep bodied black Mader the National cow. A cow family that has raised high performing progeny.
His growth EPDs are all in the top 30% for the breed. He has excellent calving ease with above average growth. A bull that needs your serious appraisal.

Our feature Mader Folsom Prison 66L black bull. This is a quiet bull that checks all The boxes for a herd sire. He has an 84lb. birth weight, weaned off his powerful black mother at 875lbs., continued to grow and ranks our #4 bull for yearling weight. Another thick, quiet Folsom Prison son with lots of stretch. He patterns very similar to Nifty Neil. Naylor is s sharp looking, long bodied, black white-faced bull, with EPDs that rank in the top 10% for calving ease and birth weight. His sire is a bull we have used on our heifers with success for calving ease and his calves develop into solid progeny as yearlings. A great bull to use on those larger heifers, he is lighter boned and very smooth through the front end. His mother is a first calf Redford daughter that has done a grand job raising him. She is extremely sound, with excellent feet and legs and a nice tidy udder. This cow family goes back to one of the first cows we owned.

Newman is a real neat red heifer bull, with a splash of white on his head. A Folsom Prison son with a low birth weight, lots of hair and excellent muscle expression. KMR Simmentals is a family-operated purebred cow-calf operation based in Grovedale, Alberta. Our goal is simple: to produce the kind of cattle today’s commercial cattleman wants and needs.
From the beginning, udder quality and structural soundness—especially feet and legs—have been the foundation of our cow herd. We consistently select bulls with strong maternal pedigrees to ensure these traits are passed on generation after generation.
Ultra Maverick 96K has been a walking bull at KMR for the past three years, with his first daughters entering production this year. We have been extremely impressed with these females; they feature tidy udders, exceptional milk production, and added capacity. We believe incorporating Fleckvieh influence adds frame and milk, contributing positively to where we feel the breed needs to go. His sons are an impressive group, smooth shouldered and structurally correct. Mavs calves come easy and get up and grow.
Another walking bull at KMR is Mader JR 145L, a full brother to the $280,000 Walk The Line bull. This pedigree is stacked with proven donor females, and we are confident his daughters will carry the same level of quality and maternal strength. JRs sons are wide topped and square hipped with a big correct foot underneath them, all the attributes required to make a quality herd sire.

Our cows are wintered on a practical, ranch-relevant ration similar to those used by many producers in the area: a hay-based diet supplemented with straw and grain. We believe cattle must thrive in real-world conditions to earn the right to pass on their genetics.
Bulls at KMR are developed slow and steady to promote soundness and longevity. They were weaned in early September and fed an oat-based ration until the end of November, then transitioned to a soy-based pellet. This program has increased growth from weaning to yearling while allowing the bulls to express their true genetic potential.
This year, we are offering a strong selection of both heifer and cow bulls, available in both colors, with some added chrome.

Welcome, we are very happy to be once again bringing our boys to town for the Peace Country Bull Sale. Thank you to all our past & future buyers, as well as the bidders and visitors interested in our program.
We proudly operate a family run farm dedicated to raising Fullblood & Fullblood influenced cattle committed to raising practical, long lasting bulls built for the peace country. Our April-May calving program is centered around raising 2 year old bulls, giving them the time they need to develop naturally at a slower pace. They are raised on a mainly forage based diet, supplemented with Country Junction pellets pail fed daily. We prioritize soundness and longevity – traits that matter when a bull has to cover cows year after year in real ranch conditions. Disposition is also a top priority when selecting, you will not find a quieter pen of 2 year olds, I guarantee.
This year as an added bonus, we plan to offer 6 of our top purebred females from right out of the keeper pen. This was a hard decision to let these ladies go, this is the first time heifers will be sold from Short Grass.

Polar Farms is a small purebred operation located just north of Dawson Creek in the beautiful Peace Country. We currently run a herd of 130 registered Simmental cows alongside 100 commercial cows. Our program is built on practical, functional cattle that work in real world conditions cattle that are sound, fertile, good-footed, and backed by strong maternal strength.
Over the past six years, we have carefully gathered Simmental genetics from leading programs across Canada. Our goal has been to bring proven, performance driven genetics to the North Peace region cattle that add pounds, consistency, and maternal value to our customers’ herds. We believe in investing in the right genetics to continually improve our program and offer bulls that will go out and work for you.

Big Turk is another exciting new herd sire we bought 2 years ago, from our friends over at Beechinor Bros Simmental & Charolais in Bentley AB, he is a Sibelle Sugar Ray 25F son who needs no introduction in the Flechvieh world. Big Turk (who we nicknamed Big John) was not the high seller at Johns bull sale, but he came in second at 40,000 and we were pumped to be able to bring him home. This was Big Johns first calf crop for us and he did not disappoint, only giving us one bull for this sale we were a little sad, but we forget quick when we look in the heifer pen, He is going to make a big splash in next years Western Harvest Sale in Didsbury AB. This Rampage son is the youngest in the bullpen this year but don’t let that fool you as he proves to be a powerful bull with a thick middle and a heavy hind end. His mother is sired by Anchor T Legend and a big gentle giant that always gets attention in pasture tours, originally coming from the Mark land & cattle herd. This bull will be sure to be a great return on investment come fall.
High Call was a pretty cool gift out of our purchase from the Country Classic sale last year from Maxwell Simmentals. His mother NUG Duchess 415L did a fantastic job raising this bull, with her being an Anchor D IMAX Daughter she had all the pedigree behind her to build this powerhouse.
Highcall’s name is fitting as his sire SBV Wildcard 500J was one of high sellers back in 2022 at the Mark Land & Cattle bull sale, and his dam being the high selling fullblood female at the Country classic sale for $20,000.

Eclipse is another bull in the sale raised by a first calf heifer as this heifer has a long list of history in our herd. We have a multiple maternal sisters’ working for us and they all produce standout progeny like this guy.

TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID - No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.
SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.
DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
INSURANCE – Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.
US BUYERS – There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.
EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.
ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

Welcome to our program at Montagneouse Creek Simmentals, we are a family owned and operated farm located near Worsley AB, We run 70 commercials and 20-30 purebred red, black Simmentals and plan to grow the herd keeping it premium genetics. We’ve been selling bulls off the farm since 2016 and we are super proud to send our bulls out to the sale for the first time!
Our bulls get alfalfa/brome hay and bull ration from country junction feeds at 2% body weight. We feel these bulls will go out and work in the pastures with confidence. You’ll find we have two bulls 35M and 36M December 2024 calves and our special little guy 39N January calf.

36M comes out of one of our favourite red cows that has been raising top bull calves for some years now. 36M was fun to watch all summer and he didn’t disappoint us. He definitely has herd bull written all over him. Dark red, ton of hair. Looking forward to see what his future holds!

Personal favourite right here 39N is amazing to work with and I always have to appreciate him how he walks around in the pen and how he grew, he comes out of a first calver and she did a phenomenal job on her first calf! Dark red. Low birth weight and I’m sure his calves will drop without a problem come calving season.
We are excited to be joining the Peace Country Simmental sale this year. Our family is going on our 5th generation of farming and ranching in the LaGlace area.
With Olin working in Oil and Gas, and Sarah working in healthcare, our evenings and weekends are full with lots of ranching, hockey and 4-H. Our registered roots run back to my parents Tarril and Karen with Wolfe Lake Simmentals showing and selling Simmental bulls dating back to the 80s. A few years ago we made the move back to an expanded purebred operation. Currently, we operate a Simmental based cow calf operation and pride ourselves in it being a family affair. With the kids helping run equipment putting up feed and their papa still feeding cows.
Our goal is to raise livestock for real world producers, Calving ease, and growth genetics with the purpose of producing calves that will thrive in all conditions.
