Mark your calendars for March 20th, 2026 and plan to join us at Heartland Livestock in Swift Current for an outstanding bull sale event hosted by Townview Farms – the Girodat family and 7th Valley Angus – the Gillis family.
This is a tremendous opportunity to source quality Black Simmental and Black Angus bulls all in one place, at one time. The Black Simmental program from Townview Farms is built around powerful, highly maternal cattle with added performance and a strong emphasis on calving ease. Complementing them perfectly, the Gillis family’s 7th Valley Angus bulls offer the consistency, maternal strength, and reliability the Angus breed is known for. Together, these two programs provide a balanced, practical offering for commercial cattlemen who utilize both breeds in their operations.
The strengths of Simmental and Angus genetics blend seamlessly — adding hybrid vigor, maternal quality, structural soundness, and pounds that pay. Whether you’re adding performance, improving maternal traits, or looking to restock your bull battery, this sale presents a convenient and efficient opportunity to accomplish your goals in one stop.
It’s a great time in the cattle industry, and an even better time to invest in herd sires that will move your program forward. Both the Girodat and Gillis families are dedicated stockmen who work hard year-round to raise functional, performance-driven cattle designed to thrive in real-world conditions. They stand behind their programs and are committed to customer success.
If you are unable to attend sale day, our team at Bohrson Marketing Services is always happy to visit with you, discuss the offering, and assist with your purchases in complete confidence.
We look forward to seeing you on March 20th in Swift Current for what promises to be an exciting and value-packed sale day!
Welcome to our first annual bull sale, and thank you for being part of this milestone for our program. We’re proud to offer a group of bulls that represent years of careful breeding, staying consistent to our goals, and a focus on cattle that perform in real-world conditions. While this is our first sale, this program has been shaped by the support, mentorship, and guidance of many people we respect in the cattle industry. To those who have helped us along the way, Thank you.
We strive to raise trouble free, sound, functional bulls with good dispositions, strong foot structure, and the ability to go to work and hold up in real-world conditions. These bulls have been raised on pasture, wintered on grass hay and pail fed grain, and developed with longevity and practicality in mind. Many of the blood lines represented in this offering are the same genetics we use and trust in our own commercial herd.
The coffee pot is always on at our place, feel free to come for a tour any time! We’re truly grateful for the support that’s helped us reach this first sale and look forward to visiting you soon.
Greg and McKenzie Gillis

•GJG Trapper 8N has been a deep sided, heavy made stand out since day one. The Rose cow family has been the backbone of our herd since we began raising seed stock, with just under half of our herd tracing back to the original Gillis Rose 33K who we had until she was 16 years old. The Herdsire look, Foot structure, and Depth of body on this guy is what we strive to raise in our operation.

GJG IRON HORSE 13N

GJG IRON HORSE 16N

•Iron horse is a sire we have sampled in the past and are now moving back to for his ability to put depth, hair, and performance into his calves without sacraficing the essentials such as feet and docility. Off of a first calf heifer, look for this bull for a tick up on weaning weight and to fill your replacment heifer pen with keepers.
•Recommended for use on cows.
•Ears arent hereditary is what I told myself when we decided to put this guy in the sale as we felt he was too good to not offer. Another Iron horse off a first calver who if it wasn’t for his frosted tips would find himself in contention for leading off our sale. This is a very soggy made bull that dosent give up any legnth of rib.

•Hoover Dam would go down in history as one of the breeds elite female makers. Combined with the power of his Dam WWF Upper Cut Barbara 242B this guys was mated for the purpose of creating deep bodied, feminine daughters to build a herd off of.
•Recommended for use on cows.

GJG HOOVER DAM 17N
•This Hoover Dam son is a very smooth made, structrally sound bull. His Dam GJG Shoka 1G is a stand out cow for us with impressive depth of rib, phenotype, and udder quality. 17N’s Granddam GS Shoka 18Y has been a stand out cow for us, whom is still in our herd today. This is a bull that you can feel confident retaining daughters off of with longevity in mind.
•Recommended for use on cows.

•GJG Upward 20N is the type of bull I search for when looking to purchase our next herdsire! Backed by bulls such as Rito 707 of Ideal, N Bar Emulation EXT, Peak Dot No Doubt, and Sitz Upward this guy will raise sons and daughters to ring the bell every year. JL Katinka 2130 is a cow we selected from Glen Gable’s dispersal in the fall of 2021 and is still raising calves at our place at the age of 14.
•Recommended for use on cows.

•A smooth built, long spined Logic son with a fancy look to him. He is backed by a strong maternal line of Rose cows. •Recommended for use on cows.
•This bull has been a looker from a very young age, offering a deep rib, long spine, and well muscled style! This bull would find himself in contention to lead off our sale if he didn’t have white in front of his testicles. Look for this guy to add some punch into some steers in the fall.
for use on larger framed heifers and cows.

that gets out and moves the right way. Backed by Sitz Upward and Kodiak in his pedigree.

•Another smooth made, clean fronted upward son who adds some depth of rib. Backed by GS Shoka 18y in his pedigree this is another bull that is made to stand up and go to work year after year.
•Recommended for use on larger framed heifers and cows.

•The only Black Top son in the sale, this guy has performance!! This is a bull that has me very excited, the youngest bull in our offering who weaned at 628 lb at 176 days of age. Be sure not to over look this guy based on his age.
•Recommended for use on Cows.

•The only SAV Density 4336 son in our sale. Density is world renown as one of the best cow makers in the breed. GJG 9N’s mother GS 2Z is still in our herd today and has an udder that resembles a cow half her age. •Recommended for use on cows.

Thank you for your interest in our program and for taking the time to study this year’s offering. For nearly 20 years, we have been selling bulls and building a program rooted in quality cattle, honest management, and long-term relationships. Today, our kids represent the fourth generation involved at Townview Farms, and we are proud to continue what was started before us.
Over the years, our program has grown to include 60 purebred cows and more than 170 commercial cows. This growth reflects years of careful selection and disciplined breeding decisions, all with the commercial cattleman in mind. We are committed to producing cattle that work in real-world conditions and add value where it matters most.
This year’s bulls are sound, fertile, and built to add value—whether that means calving ease, performance, maternal strength, or longevity. They have been developed with a focus on structural integrity, disposition, and efficiency, and are ready to go to work for you.
We stand behind these bulls and believe they will make a positive impact in your herd. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the offering, we welcome your call and look forward to seeing you on sale day.
