EC Buzz 237 PLD has proven himself as a reliable, consistent heifer bull with a strong track record across our program. He was the sire of the high-selling and lead-off bull in last year’s bull sale and is also the sire of the $30,000 heifer calf, RLEA Taboo 501N, who sold this past fall in the Superstar Sale. We sourced Buzz from Eggleston Charolais in South Dakota with the goal of adding proven maternal strength combined with calving ease, and he has delivered exactly that. We have retained numerous daughters, which speaks to his value as a true cow maker. His females are sound footed, deep-bodied, and feminine, with exceptional udders and the longevity we strive for. Buzz calves are born small and unassisted, yet are growthy and continue to improve and impress you as they mature. His influence can be seen throughout this year’s offering, adding consistency, maternal reliability, and long-term productivity.

Medellin is a bull that we purchased from BOB Charolais a few years ago initially to walk in our commercial cow herd. After a couple seasons seeing how much performance, shape and muscle he put into the calves we started to use him with our Purebred Cow Herd as well. Unfortunately, Medellin suffered a fatal injury on pasture, we are so thankful that we drew semen on him for future use.

The lone two year old Shorthorn bull in this year’s offering, but where we lack in numbers, 20M makes up for in quality! He’s a bull we think a lot of. He was used on a group of Shorthorn cows this last breeding season and not just any group - he was turned out with the very best cows that call DASF home. His dam’s short resume is nothing short of impressive, 20M is a maternal brother to last year’s high selling Shorthorn bull to Lane Madge. 53H has now entered our donor program and we are incredibly excited about her future.
We plan to collect 20M and continue to utilize him in our program going forward as we feel he will leave a lasting impact.

Cartel

CINDY BEAUTY5M106
I could go on all day about how much I like this bull, but I think he does all the talking when you get eyes on him. Cartel made himself a lot of friends last fall during one of the most impressive runs a Shorthorn bull calf has ever had on this side of the border. Being named either breed Champion or Reserve at all three major shows he went to was sure fun but, it’s his future as a herd sire that’s extremely exciting! If you’ve talked to me about our cowherd at all in the last few years you’ve definitely heard about the Valentine donor. She continually knocks it out of the park on every mating, all three of her sons in this year’s sale are impressive from every angle.
Ranks in the top 4% for WW, top 3% for YW, top 5% for Milk and $BMI, top 2% for TM and $F, as well as the top 1% for STAY, YG, CW and CREA
Homo polled Selling full possession with half (50%) semen interest retained.

Here’s the full brother to Cartel 13N. I’ve been a fan of this bull all along and always thought he complimented the show bull really well. I was gone for a couple months for work and headed home early January to picture bulls and I’ll be honest this guy blew me away.
So massive in his bone work and centre of body with the same attractive skull and stout back as his brother. He didn’t have a spot in the show string but if he did he sure would have given Cartel a run for his money. There has been some very respectable cattlemen through the pen that have named 11N their favourite. These two full brothers are ones you don’t want to miss.

Another Valentine 102H son but this one being a full brother to the record selling $50,000 heifer calf a couple of years ago. Comes with the same attractive skull and awesome back leg that everyone admired about his sister. A shot younger than the rest of the offering but, by no means lacks anything but some age. 23N is destined to leave an impressive set of calves. If you don’t have any Fireball influence in your program yet, you need to change that and here’s your chance!

DASF All In 10N
I could write a story book about this one’s mother. 30C is the cow our program is built around. Countless high selling progeny and countless banners hung but, it’s the generating potential of her offspring that is truly special.
10N is a full brother to the 2025 CWA Shorthorn Sale high seller. I think it’s unique how well he blends growth and power with an attractive skull, neck and shoulder. I’ve been awfully high on this calf from a young age and I’m still unsure why he didn’t have a spot in the show barn. A bull that balances up with so many good pieces, maybe my personal favourite 30C son ever!
If you didn’t get a chance to see his sire, All In the fall of 2024, trust me when I say he was special!

DASF Wildfire
If you’re someone who likes to raise attractive, extremely good uddered cows that are moderate and easy fleshing, this is the one for you. We bought the Rosie cow out of Ontario a number of years ago and are sure glad we did. She has as good an udder as any cow on the place.
8N has a nice roan hair coat, extra big legs and is more like his sire than any bull we’ve raised. Wildfire continues to sire the right kind.
Having Rosie and Billie Jean in his pedigree, it’s a no brainer his daughters will look the part.
