A Warm welcome from all of us at Sweetwater Ranch as we get ready for our Second Annual Bull and Female Sale! We believe that we have a strong set of bulls again this year , but like Ben always said “We are not going to claim that this is the best set of bulls we are bringing to town. We think that is up to each and every one of you to decide. We like them nice and consistent top to bottom, with a bull to suit just about anyone. With calving ease and maternal on the Angus side and lower birth weight Charolais with lots of jam and good dispositions” We think that sums it up pretty well !
We are offering 40 Red Angus yearlings and 40 Charolais yearlings this year, as well as 20 Red Angus first calf heifers with January/February calves at side. The pairs will be at the sale this year if the weather cooperates. Come and check out our 18 Red replacement heifers as well, all vet checked and palpated.
We are happy to deliver your bulls free of charge to the first 150 miles. Call to make arrangements and we will work together to get them to your place at a time that works. Please note , we’d like to have them all delivered by the middle of May .
Heifer pairs can be picked up at the sale, or we can deliver them right after the sale to the first 150 miles. Replacement heifers will need to be picked up after the sale .

I told David I was going to write footnotes for the catalog this year, but when I looked at what I had down as notes on the 1st 10 bulls it was almost identical for each one. Excellent uddered dam. Great footed. Extra thick. Blah, blah, blah. The bottom line is, these bulls are pretty darn good. They are definitely worth the look, and if you’re serious about keeping replacement females, the cows are 100% worth a look as well.
The Charolais bulls are moderate birthweight bulls that will go out and breed and last. The consistency in these bulls gets better every year, and it shows with a great uniform group like this. Don’t miss out on these because they are a little greener than others. There’s some definite herd bulls in there.
Just a quick note on how these cows are managed. The Angus cows graze all summer in a 4300 acre field of native prairie. The Charolais graze 1000 acres of crested wheat. The old cows run with the young cows, and let the cream rise to the top. The cows that stick around and get rebred are working ranch cows. The bulls are fed a backgrounding ration at TFS feedlot in Fincastle. No special pen, no extra grain. What you see is what you get. No meltdown, no foot issues. Honest working cattle.

Breeders Guarantee:
All bulls are guaranteed breeders. Sweetwater Ranch stands behind every bull. Scrotal measurements, sale day weight, and semen test sheets will be available sale day.
Liability:
Any liability of the bull is restricted to the purchase price of the bull. If any problem arises contact either Ben or David as soon as possible.
Pre Sale Viewing:
The bulls can be viewed at TFS Fincastle ( 4 miles east of Taber, ¾ mile north ) anytime until Monday, March 9th. After that they can be viewed at the Taber Ag Plex. The open replacement heifers and cow/ calf pairs can be viewed at the ranch in Govenlock. Please call David for viewing the females.

Recommended primarily for cows. If you only have a few heifers mixed in you can get away with it, but do expect to probably help a few.
Heifer bull. I would personally use these bulls on my heifers with no second thoughts.
These bulls have generations of calving ease bred in, and should calve any type of heifer with absolutely no assistance.
**Please note that a 3 Star Charolais bull is rated as used on Charolais heifers. I am still not comfortable recommending them on Angus heifers that I don’t know. **

We guarantee to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. In the event that your bull is a nonsatisfactory breeder the seller will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for more than the original selling price of any bull or female sold in the sale.
