We lcome to our 36th Annual Bull Sale! We are excited to host you once again at the ranch. It is hard to believe that this will be our 6th sale at home, time really does fly by! 2025 was an exciting year, from record cattle prices, adequate moisture and an abundance of feed. We had a really good year! Our pastures were good and the bull calves did really well all summer. They haven’t missed a beat since weaning and are being fed a balanced, high roughage TMR to ensure they reach their genetic potential without carrying any excess condition. The TMR consists of Oat/Pea silage, chopped hay, oats and a custom supplement.

The 2026 offering is as deep and high quality as we have ever had before. There is a good selection of sire groups to have some genetic diversity. Many of the sires were bred and raised right here and that makes us extremely proud to see how well these bulls have bred and the impact they are having on our program as well as many top programs in the industry. Every bull in the sale is mothered by a quality cow. Many of them out of our donor cows. We have an extensive embryo transfer program and believe in multiplying our most productive cows. Cow families are very important and you will notice the strength of some of them as you analyze the catalog. We are very proud of our cowherd and their ability to produce! Both the cowherd and the bull pen are culled ruthlessly to ensure we are moving forward and offering a quality product that we have confidence in. We strive to produce sound, easy doing, efficient, problem free cattle that will be profitable for their new owners.

Delivery Options:

Free delivery to central points in SK, AB & MB at the seller’s convenience. In most cases we will be able to deliver directly to your yard, but do ask for your cooperation if needed. Bulls may be left at the ranch for a reasonable amount of time, but MUST be insured.

Semen Collection: Sunny Valley reserves the right to collect semen on any bull in the sale for in herd use only. Semen will be collected at the seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience.

Health & Fertility: All bulls will be semen tested, palpated and scrotal measured. Information will be available a few days prior to the sale. Bulls are on a full vaccination program that includes: Naselgen (at birth), Pyramid 4 with Presponse Ultrabac (spring and fall) and Ivomec (Oct and Jan).

US Buyers: Sunny Valley will do all the necessary vet inspection, health testing and paperwork required for export. An additional fee of $500 CAN per animal will be charged for this service and is due at the time of settlement. Trucking is not included in this amount.

Homo Polled. 8N is really long bodied, big hipped and heavy muscled, a true powerhouse. He has been among the heavyweights at both weaning and yearling. 9N is the baldy brother that is super soggy, heavy haired and has lots of shape. He is really free moving and like his brother has been a standout all along. They are typical Rancher sons that are super sound and stand on a great foot. Their mother is a special female, her first calf was SVS Backroad 54L, our high seller a couple years ago to KT Ranches. Homo Polled. The red section of bulls in this year’s sale is very, very deep in quality and Bandit is one that fits right in. It gets a bit repetitive commenting on the Warden sons with them all displaying that big hip and exceptional length but those are the two traits that I find can really add pounds to the calf crop. The Carrie cow family is one of our longest running cow families and have been responsible for some very good herd sires over the years. The most recent being a Tycoon son and maternal brother to Bandit that sold in 2023 to South Seven Simmentals and H Bar M Land and Cattle. Bandit will be one to watch closely for sale day.

Homo Polled. Warrior is a good Warden son that has performed well at all stages. One of the younger bulls that weaned off at 922 lbs and was number 1 in his group. He has continued to perform well and posted an adjusted yearling weight of well over 1500 lbs. His two-year-old Witness dam did an excellent job on her first calf. She is a strong footed black cow with a well-made udder. Warrior is a stout made long bodied bull with a big hip and wide top. The Warden sons like him were popular in last year’s sale.

Hetero Polled. Officer is another of the top Warden sons this year. He carries many of the same traits as all the Wardens. Lots of stretch a big hip while still being smooth made to provide plenty of calving ease. Once again one of the younger bulls that weaned off at 980 lbs. and was second only to his brother 552N in their group. Officers dam is a smaller framed fullblood cow that always does an amazing job on her calves. They always wean at or near the top of their group. One son sold to Robert Penno. A daughter to Robb Farms and two more retained in the herd.

Homo Polled. Dark, dark red moderate framed super stout all things we look for in a herd sire. Tophand is a really good bull, the best thing about him might be his Betts mother. The Betts females have proven to be top producers around the industry and when they are like Jade 6J that’s why. As I write these footnotes 6J had a real good Warden heifer calf last night and her 2024 Warden daughter also calved yesterday a very good pair. They are the kind you want to raise your next herd sire. 522N is a twin.

Homo Polled. A blaze faced Loyalty son out of one of my favorite cows on the place. 75G is really easy to like. She is an attractive cow with great feet and a strong udder. In the 2023 sale her Tycoon son was very popular and sold to Flying G Simmentals. The Loyalty sons have been very will received the last few years. Lincoln should fit in well to a lot of programs with his blaze face and a very moderate birth weight of just 84 lbs. Maternal Brother WLLS

A moderate framed stout made Loyalty son. 514N comes from a deep bodied tank of a Betts cow that is a member of the Carrie cow family the same as 541N. A maternal sister to 514N just calved here a bit ago and she is everything we could hope for. 514N is a bull you might want to keep all the females.

Homo Polled. 24N is dark, dark, dark red, super long bodied with a big top and lots of muscle shape. Just an 86lb birth weight on this performance bull. He weaned off at over 1000 lbs at the beginning of September. He also has an excellent set of EPD’s. His dam, 948G has been a tremendous producer, her sons have sold to Hoffus Stock Farms and Paul Lacasse. Two top daughters have been retained, one being the dam of 11N, Lot 20. The other a Loyalty daughter that will be one of the top two year olds we calve in 2026. We have a lot of confidence in 24N and the cow family that backs him.

Backroad was our high seller in 2024 to KT Ranches and has bred incredibly well. We have another strong group of calves on the ground in 2026. 38N is out of an awesome blaze faced Tycoon daughter, a pick of many visitors. She produced a $20,000 bred heifer last fall to Crossroad Farms. 38N is really easy to like and is one that I feel is much better than his picture. Be sure to look him up sale day, he will not disappoint.

Homo Polled. A dark red, blaze faced son of Backroad. 11N is deep bodied, easy doing and out of a strong, productive cow family. The Satin cow family has been responsible for many feature bulls over the years. They are hairy, dark red cows with good udders. 11N was a twin.

Homo Polled. The KT Reddington bull was purchased to use mainly in the heifer pen with good results. Unfortunately, he was injured at the end of his first breeding season so this will be the only set of sons we will have. Nash is a stout, mellow, very hairy bull that should work well in the heifer pen like his sire. His dam is a Bond first calver that puts calving ease on both sides of Nash’s pedigree. His numbers have him in the top 10% for the breed for calving ease and top 3% for birth weight. He has just a 74 lb birth weight.

Hetero Polled. Legacy is a stout made, thick topped calf that has the extra length to add pounds. His dam, 95L is a member of the Kananaskis cow family that really worked her heart out on her first try. Legacy started out at just 81 lbs, weaned off at nearly 900 and continued to gain posting an almost 1500 lb adjusted yearling weight. His EPD’s say lots of calving ease adequate performance and strong maternal traits.

Homo Polled. 550N may not be the biggest bull in the pen but he is plenty stout with lots of muscle for his size. Once again, a KT Reddington son with a 79 lb birth weight. Frolic’s dam has produced very well. Her first son sold in the 2024 bull sale to Dale Stammers and a real nice Loyalty daughter sold in Border City to Rusylvia Cattle Co.

Homo Polled. 103N is the youngest bull in the offering. He is thick made, big topped, heavy muscled and really good footed. His dam, 24H, is a top producer. She raised a $90,000 Loyalty daughter that we sold in Friday Night Lights in 2024. We have another daughter retained that is a beautiful, power female that we have high hopes for. 103N is sired by, Flash, a Caliber x 506C son that we sold to Andrew Cattle Co. A really interesting pedigree on a really cool bull!

Homo Polled. A long bodied, smooth made Sage 506C son that is really complete. He won’t be the most powerful bull sale day but he is easy to like. Genetically he is awesome, sired by Reddington who is known as a female producer. Expect 88N to sire an outstanding set of daughters. We have a full sister in the replacement pen who looks really good. Buy with confidence, he might be a sleeper.

Homo Polled. A bigger framed, long bodied, dark red, blaze faced bull that will add growth and performance. His dam, 940G has been really productive. She had a feature Tycoon daughter sell at Border City and a really good Betts son in last year’s sale.

Homo Polled. Another stout made bull from the Sage cow family. Cow families are extremely important and the Sage’s rise to the top each and every year. This Maverick son is smooth made, thick and has a really good set of EPD’s. He should work well on a set of young cows and produce an great set of daughters.

Homo Polled. A super dark Maverick son that started out at just 88 lbs out of a first calf heifer. The dark red color comes from the cow family that has been that dark for many generations. The Maverick sons have been popular in many of the past sales around the country. They always provide a level of calving ease that makes them attractive as well as a balanced set of numbers across the board that is also appealing.

Homo Polled. One of the youngest bulls in the offering, this dark red Bubba son is built for calving ease. At just 82lbs at birth, this guy should work in the heifer pen. His mother is a really nice Slider daughter with a beautiful udder. Her first calf was a Vanderhoof daughter that recently calved here and looks very impressive. 100N is registered as a ¾ but is a purebred bull.

Homo Polled, Hetero Black. Something a little different here. 34N is our first ½ blood SimAngus offering. He combines 2 elite cattle from each breed. Brooking Emerald highlighted the Rose/Jenna/Flirt event and has gone on to sire many high sellers and banner winners. 34N’s dam is none other than Sage 506C who simply works with every mating, no exceptions. 34N has been the powerhouse of the pen. He was the heaviest bull at both weaning and yearling. He has a great look, is stout, huge ribbed and really sound. We showed a full sister at Agribition last fall where she won Reserve Senior Percentage Heifer Calf. She is a big time female that we are really excited about. 34N has a very bright future and is one that we would like to use ourselves.

Homo Polled. Hetero Black. 30N is a really cool blaze faced Justified son. His dam has been very productive with sons selling to Ryan Grindheim and Jay & Beverly Bohrson. She also has a daughter that is retained in our herd. 12H is a big bodied, power cow that has always been a favorite. 30N is great haired, really sound structured and very fault free. He will be a no nonsense, problem free herd sire that will leave an excellent set of daughters.

Homo Polled, Hetero Black. Phantom is one of our favourite black bulls in the pen. He is a performance bull with a lot of class. He was born off his first calving dam at just 82lbs. He weaned off at 950 lbs and weighed 1400 at a year. When you analyze Phantom, you will find a bull that is long, with a big top that carries back into a big wide hip and deep quarter. Lots of middle and rib. He moves easily is good structured and has great feet. He has a real herd bull presence through his head and neck. His sire is the outcross Rust Good Times who is a calving ease bull. Phantom’s dam is a cow with a bright future. She dropped a beautiful square udder. She has tremendous volume and a great hair coat which she passed on to Phantom. You could tell early on that Phantom was special and he has not disappointed. He has an outcross pedigree and an exceptional mother. Definitely one worth checking out. We look forward to using him in our own program.

He started out as our heifer bull but after seeing his first group of calves develop, we bred some of our top cows to him last spring as well.
