On behalf of everyone here at Spring Lake Simmentals, the Zimmer’s, I would like to extend to you an invitation to attend our 7th annual sale at the farm in 2026. We truly appreciate the time you are taking to view our sale offering whether it be online or walking through our pens. We are proud and excited about the strong group of bulls that are in the offering this year. Whether you are looking for a power bull to add weight on calves, a middle of the road bull for some younger cows or even a few select heifer bulls, we feel that we have them in our sale offering. On the replacement end of it, no bull that is used here at Spring Lake comes from anything but a top end female so that not only ourselves but our valued customers can put those really good replacement females back into the herd. Mentioning females, we have 25 in the sale. 10 purebreds to also help showcase the herd sires used here and 15 “commercial” females to do the same.

Several new herd bulls have been added as new genetics for ourselves and our customers are always important along with the tried, tested and true who are also in the sale offering.

If you want a little help or advice as to your needs in a bull, we are very happy to assist you as we practically live with them. Also the very trusted Transcon team is available to independently provide an opinion as they have gone through the bulls and their mothers several times over the year.

If you want a little extra bang for your buck, once again I believe you can get it done here. Hopefully we will see you at the sale but no matter how it’s done, THANK YOU for taking the time to view our sale cattle in 2026.

Thank you,

Eric, Cristin and family

Spring Lake Simmental Bull Sale

Wednesday MARCH 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM ON THE FARM

On behalf of Doug, Eric, and the entire Zimmer family, the team at Transcon is pleased to formally invite you to the 7th Annual Springlake Simmental Bull and Female Sale, to be held March 4th at the farm near Daysland.

This year’s offering includes 70+ yearling bulls, a select group of two-year-old bulls, along with 10 registered and 15 commercial replacement heifers.

The 2026 pen may be the deepest and most consistent set Springlake has assembled to date, while still showcasing the exceptional hair coats, wide tops, and structural soundness buyers have come to expect. You’ll find both proven sire groups that have stood the test of time, as well as exciting new genetics added to the program.

As the industry continues to push for darker red cattle, you’ve come to the right place to find your next herd sire. The Zimmers are widely recognized for their unique, deep dark red colour—often referred to as “Zimmer Purple.” These red bulls not only stand out for colour, but also for their thick hair coats, wide tops, and tremendous muscle.

The Fullblood division is exclusively sired by B Bar C Justify, a bull the Zimmers have confidently walked for four years with outstanding success. Justify continues to produce the right kind for today’s industry—polled and horned bulls that offer exceptional growth, muscle, and the ability to add pounds to your calf crop.

While smaller in number, the Black division is every bit as impressive. This may be the best set of black bulls the Zimmers have ever offered, featuring the same hair, condition, and quality found throughout the entire pen.

All bulls are developed in large pens designed to encourage movement and responsible growth. They are structurally sound, fluid moving, and quiet in disposition. Whether you’re searching for calving ease or added power, there is truly something here for every program.

With cow numbers still at historic lows, don’t miss the opportunity to add high-quality replacement females to your operation. Doug and Eric retain the majority of their females, making this offering a rare opportunity. You’ll notice many lots are backed by cows carrying the ZSL tattoo, a testament to the productivity and longevity of the Zimmer cow herd. These females simply work, and you can purchase with confidence—registered or commercial.

We hope you can join us March 4th at the farm near Daysland for great cattle and outstanding hospitality. If you’re unable to attend in person, please contact any member of the Transcon team to assist with your absentee bidding needs.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Milestone will likely be the lead off bull at this years sale. He started off at a low birthweight, he went on to wean at 1085 lbs and an actual yearling weight of 1520. He has every attribute you look for in a herdsire. Length, thickness, tons of middle and great feet under him. His mother is a big framed Tundra female who is one of the top cows in the herd.

Here’s a powerful herdsire in the making, his mother is one of our more moderate cows in the herd but she put everything she had into Inferno 76N. You have to get behind him to really appreciate the thickness and top he brings. He’s square in his hip, deep in his quarter and profiles really well.

Here’s a bull that is long, soft made and hairy. His sire has done everything we’d ever hoped for in providing performance, structural soundness and consistent calving ease. His mother is a good footed bigger framed Westcott daughter with a good shaped udder.

Backed by a top end KWA Big Time mother, Thriller is the 1/2 brother to ZSL Ohtani 7J who was purchased for $77,500 in our sale a few years ago. 170N is a bull that will be noticed for his extra length, depth of flank and full body capacity. His EPD’s are at the top end for the breed.

Every now and then it’s fun to dust the lid off that semen tank in the back corner of the barn office and pull out a straw from back when. Especially when you can get a calf like this Mandako son. Mandako himself was purchased by Rendezvous Farms and went on to be an integral part of their Red program. Overdrive is moderate framed calf with lots of middle thickness and good feet. He did very well on his own as his mother died when he was 3 months old.

Another typical Revelation son, he follows his sires traits of being moderate framed with enough thickness and eye appeal to make them a desirable sire group. We feel this bull has a lot to offer, you will not be disappointed with his future calf crop.

Another sale feature in Pioneer, he is well balanced, smooth from front to back, lots of middle with plenty of muscling allowing him to wean off at 1080 lbs. His mother has the foot and udder you want on the dam of your herd bull.

Revenue will be a sale feature for sure. He was continuously the first one to catch your eye on pasture tours and continues to do it in the pen. He’s moderate framed but packs on the pounds with extra middle and thickness. He has a great hair coat and coloured with that “Zimmer Purple” a phrase coined by David Maguet of Rendezvous Farms

Here is a bull that combines everything in one package. He is smooth fronted, big topped, long and thick. His mother is a large frame sized cow who consistently has calves in the 95-100lb range without issue. She comes from a cow family with strong maternal background that’s nice to have in the replacement pen.

If you like this guys colour, you should see his mother. She is one of the darkest red cows we have. Acclaim is an eye appealing calf, with a wide top, smooth front end, lots of length and good feet.

When given the chance to partner with Rocking Heart Range on the purchase of Black Gold Tycoon 198L we jumped at the chance with calves like Seattle in mind. The Tycoon and Sysco pairing worked really well here. Combining moderate calving weight with performance and maternal values. 46N is a bull that’s thick yet clean fronted and a sharp profile.

ZSL JAIMIE 1N

This Ozark son is a unit of a calf, weaning off at 1025 lbs. it’s not hard to see where the pounds come from when you give him a walk around, he’s as long and wide as they come with a great coat of hair and full of meat and muscle which he’s sure to pass onto his calves. His mother is a bigger framed High Roller daughter who has put bulls at the top of our sales and heifers in the keeper pen.

A super quiet, smaller framed, thick son out of ZSL Roll On, a bull we kept back to use in our heifer pen, and a first calf heifer who’s in line to be one of the top end Connected daughters that we have. He’s square in his hip, deep in his quarter and profiles really well. He’s an easy doing soft made bull that would do well in the heifer pen.

Matson has lots of volume, rib, length and a great coat of hair. He’s loose hided, smooth and stylish. His mother is a moderate framed Red Alaska cow with a history of producing good stout bull calves.

This stout, square Malibu calf has a lot of potential, he’s long bodied, well balanced and correct in his structure. His dam is a nice uddered easy fleshing cow that gets the attention of anyone who’s toured our pastures.

Here’s a heifer bull candidate that we’re pretty impressed with. He’s deep, soggy and very quiet. His

ZSL KINETIC 35N

35Nis a really sharp profiled calf who is thick, deep ribbed, and heavy quartered. His mother is a Sedona daughter who has no shortage of milk and great udder, helping Kinetic wean off at nearly 1000lbs. His sire ZSL Ozark was a past high seller going to Maple Lake Stock Farms in MB.

If cow families mean anything to you this guy comes from a good one.. The Sysco females are some of the easiest doing, nicest uddered cows we have. A moderate framed, thick made son of Malibu who has really proven his consistency to sire the herd bull type of calves in a very short time.

We can’t make them darker red than this, his mother accounts for a lot of that as she is the same colour, Quantum is a smaller framed like his mother but he’s put together in just the right way. Lots of thickness, middle and smooth in his front shoulders

This is the youngest red bull we have on offer this year. He’s a smaller framed Malibu son that has some extra rib and depth with a big hind quarter. He has a great hair coat and a solid, big foot under him. His mother is a really nice Sysco daughter with a big future.

A low birthweight bull that is very well balanced from a good young Epic cow. Canyon will work really well on some younger cows by adding that extra milk and muscle to his offspring. The rest of his EPD’s are some of the best in the red pen.

Here’s a sale feature that will not go unnoticed on sale day. This calf might be one of the most structurally sound bulls on offer. Chinook has exceptional length, spring of rib and moves like a cat while being one of the heaviest in the pen. His mother is a fancy, attractive cow with a great udder and really nice disposition.

ZSL STERLING 80N

Here’s a big footed, easy moving, thick calf from R Plus Reddington . Lots of hair, a ton of depth, nice disposition with an average birth weight. 80N would work really well on a group of younger females. His mother is a mid sized Mandako daughter, has a perfect udder and like Sterling, a great set of feet under her.

A very useful son of B.G. Tycoon that is big barrelled and thick made while keeping a sharp profile that is sure to help both steer and heifer calves get picked out at the market. His Sysco mother is a trouble free, moderate framed, thick made cow.

This calf is big footed, easy moving, thick, lots of hair and nice disposition 96N would work really well on a group of younger females. His mother is a smaller framed Black Canyon daughter with a nice udder and gentle disposition.

This bull is well balanced, good footed and smooth made with a great hair coat. His dam is a deep bodied, easy doing tank of a black cow who has put multiple bulls into the sale.

Another outstanding Malibu son. This calf will add growth, performance, and sound structure to your herd. With his birthweight he would be a good candidate for a group of younger cows. His replacement female calves will have great maternal traits as his mother’s side is full of great cow families

Here’s one of the heavyweights of the pen and a true herd sire prospect. He has all the features to make him so, wide based, lots of length, middle and thickness. AI sired by one of our own high selling black bulls in 2023 that we used with calves exactly like this in mind.

These Revelation calves can start off small but quickly catch the higher birthweight calves. Maxim is about as smooth on the front end as they come with great feet and a hair coat you want them all to have. His mother is a beautiful Ohtani daughter with a picture perfect udder.

Dark red, heavy haired calf from a really nice uddered Coberg daughter. Mid size frame, with lots of rib shape and thickness. A genetic combination here that should sire calves that are very consistent in their type.

Sorano is a bull that needs to be seen in person to really appreciate, he’s a smaller framed bull but one of the most complete packages. He’s thick with a ton of middle and smooth in his stride. He would be great on a group of younger cows.

Not enough can be said about Deputy’s mother, she’s had 8 bull calves in our sale and they have averaged 1065lbs at weaning between them all. She has been the most consistent bull builder on the farm. 120N is another powerhouse calf with lots of length, wide top and well muscled with great feet under him.

50N is just a good honest bull, lots of hair, good feet, smooth profile and a nice disposition. His mother is a well put together red baldy connected daughter with a great udder.

A very sharp profiled B.G Tycoon son that is strong topped and deep quartered. His mother is a blood red Sysco cow that is moderate framed, deep and pear shaped with a tidy udder and lots of milk.

A smaller framed Ortiz son with some serious eye appeal. His mother has a track record of producing good quality calves as she has 5 daughters still in the herd. He’s as red as they come, lots of middle and smooth made throughout.

We’ve been extremely happy with what B.G. Tycoon has done here in the mature cow pen. He calves easy and they grow like weeds. His mother is an impressive Mandako daughter with a perfect udder and a ton of milk which allowed him to wean off at 950 lbs. He’s long bodied, thick and smooth on his front end.

TAMARACK 2N

This blazed face, cherry red herdsire prospect is a son of NUG Malibu. He has once again sired, as he does so consistently, a thick, heavy quartered and deep bodied bull that will be useful to any breeder. Add in the fact that his mother is a Warden daughter and you have a genetic package that has worked so well here at Spring Lake. It will work for you too and so will this bull.

Here’s a bull with a different type of pedigree and calving ease throughout with his mother being a really nice Reputation female and his sire Rendezvous Aztec who has been and continues to be one of the most consistent heifer bulls we’ve ever owned. Tamarack has great hair, lots of middle and moves really well.

This homo polled Revelation son has all the qualities you look for in a herd bull. He’s long, deep bodied, moves well and coloured right. The Sedona females are standouts in the red pen, good feet and good udders with tons of milk.

This could be the stoutest, thickest calf on offer in the sale this year. He has a moderated frame but packs the pounds everywhere on him and really good feet to carry it all. His mother is an impressive Sysco daughter with a perfect udder.

GENESIS 186N

We can’t make them more red than this. This homo polled Revelation son will be in the feature pen come sale day. He’s a moderate framed smooth made calf with thickness, depth and a good hind quarter. His mother is fancy pear shaped Sysco daughter with the same hair colour as him.

Genesis has a presence about him. He’s a deep bodied, hairy, wide top and big hipped calf. His mother is a very good uddered, moderate framed Sedona daughter who’s coloured the same.

NUG Malibu has done a really nice job here and 132N is proof of that. Smooth shouldered, big top and good feet. These calves start small and then take off. Olympus’s mother is a really nice Sysco daughter with a perfect udder and feet, she has a good looking future.

42N is another Malibu son that has lots of volume, rib, length and a hair coat that we’ve found all the Malibu calves to have. He’s loose hided, long bodied, smooth and stylish. Kane’s mother is a complete packaged Sysco daughter, if you’re familiar with our program you know not much else can be said about what Sysco has done here at Spring Lake.

This is a dream pedigree if you’re looking to add to your replacement pen. It’s littered with bloodlines that have been instrumental throughout our entire herd. Hampton should help in your herd as well. He’s moderate framed, long bodied and the hair coat and colour we aim to breed into them all.

ZSL HERITAGE 75N

ZSL SENATOR 166N

Heritage has lots of volume, rib, length and a great hair coat. He’s loose hided, long bodied, smooth and stylish. These Malibu sired calves are consistent each year. His mother is a big framed Lotto cow with a great udder and lots of milk, helping him wean off just shy of 1000lbs.

Some may remember this guys sire as our high selling red from a few years ago. We were excited to try him on Appolo’s mother as she is an impressive Sysco daughter and this pairing didn’t disappoint. If replacement heifers is what you’re looking for then here’s the bull.

Here’s an easy doing, soft made and hairy Revelation son that is sure to pass these traits along to his own calves. His mother is a heavy milking, moderate framed Venom cow with an amazing

269M is an off age, blood red, coming two year old bull that is the easy doing type on a very moderate and sound frame. His mother is one of our best Sysco females and has put other bull calves at the front end of our sale. To your advantage, this herd sire prospect is being sold as a commercial bull but make no mistake, this bull is as purebred as they come. If he catches your eye, don’t think twice about buying him. He is going to go on to do a great job for you.

238M is a ZSL Ohtani son who was one of the best bulls ever raised here at Spring Lake. The bottom part of 238M’s pedigree features ZSL Black Canyon who was another top end, home raised bull. The combination of these two powerhouse pedigrees has resulted in this exceptional 2 year old herd bull prospect. The length, depth and thickness that this guy displays in the pen along with his cherry red hair coat will have you giving him a lot of attention on sale day.

AVALON 98M

Two year old Simmental bulls are hard to come by as most sell as yearlings. This is an opportunity to buy a really good two year old Alliance son that will cover a lot of cows. He is a thick but smooth made bull that is as long as a country mile. If you need a two year old, this bull would be a good choice.

Here’s an interesting B Bar C Justify sired 2 year old bull out of a polled fullblood Dempsey cow. This small headed, smooth made but stout herd sire prospect comes from a proven pedigree on both sides. If you need a bull with the capacity to cover more cows, buy this bull with confidence. He will produce the kind of calves that you will be happy with.

This Southern Comfort sired bull leads off our black division in the catalogue because he is a very stout, moderate framed, and easy to look at herd bull in the making. His balance, thickness and muscle are spread over a really smooth structure. His sire, MRL Southern Comfort, is a McMillan Ranching raised bull who has sired many of their front end sale bulls also. His mother is a ZSL Tillman daughter making the genetic package that is this herd bull one of the most desirable in the sale.

ZSL Maximus is a homo polled bull that is packed full of red meat and muscle. He is a tremendous individual with explosive growth and easy fleshing ability. He exhibits also an excellent length of spine and a square hip along with a ton of maternal traits as he is mothered by a really good Sysco female. Be sure to check out his actual weaning weight of 1040 pounds and think about what he can do for your calf crop.

ZSL INFINITY 113N

Homo polled, homo black with a weaning weight 1035 pounds and yearling weight of 1430 pounds. I’m pretty sure that I’m okay referring to this black, baldy bull as a meat machine. His sire, ZSL Marucci, was practically the spitting image of 44N. Morocco 44N is just so soft sided with exceptional capacity and depth of rib. This top herd bull prospect once again comes to you out of a Sysco female that is one of the top ones in the herd. This bull will be one of the top black baldy bulls for sale this spring. Be sure to find him.

ZSL Infinity 113N is an extra smooth made son of Malibu with tons of volume, rib, length and a great coat of hair. He is a loose hided bull that is easy to look at with his style and presence and gentle disposition. Really this bull has it all. Add in his State of War mother and you have a genetic package that will work hard in any herd of cows. I would send this bull, sight unseen to anyone in the country and know that they would be happy when they got him home. Buy with confidence.

Sparx is a homo polled, homo black son of the great MRL Power Play bull who has been used very successfully here at Spring Lake with many really good progeny of Power Play over the years. Sparx 139N is a wide topped, deep ribbed thick individual with a hell of a hair coat and great disposition. This bulls dam is one of the oldest in the herd but she continues to be so structurally sound and good uddered that she will stay here for a few more years, God willing.

A little different twist here in a black bull sired by Marucci coming out of a traditional fullblood Spur sired cow. This heavy quartered bull has the length , depth and thickness that could be that little extra you get when crossing with a fullblood. Use this guy to do the same for you. He will surely add pounds to your next calf crop.

SARATOGA 18N

NORTH STAR 38N

Dynamo 219N is a smaller framed, black baldy son of ZSL Tillman that has some extra rib and depth to him with a great hair coat and a gentle disposition. He may not have the numbers of some of the big boys in this pen but he is more than adequate to be a very useful herd sire. I believe his place would be in a second calver pen where I’m sure he would do a bang up job. The bonus in this great baldy are the near perfect udders that both Tillman and Absolute are known for.

Saratoga is a light birth weight, interesting kind of a bull out of Crossroads Connected. He is a smooth shouldered, smooth made individual that may work in the heifer pen or at least on your younger cows if you’re looking for more calving ease. Don’t get me wrong, this bull has plenty of muscle and performance to sire a set of really good calves.

North Star is an impressive bull considering he started out with an 89 pound birth weight. His sire, True North, is a black baldy bull that we used exclusively in the heifer pen as he calves very nicely. We were pleasantly surprised with the performance and growth that we see in his calves. His mother is a moderate framed, easy doing kind of heifer with plenty of milk which this bull calf turned into muscle and growth.

ZSL KODIAK 86N

Hilton is a smaller framed, very complete in his makeup kind of bull. He has plenty of depth and muscle expression to make him a very useful addition to any one’s herd bull battery. If you’re looking for a black heifer bull, Hilton has the light birth weight, 81 pounds, and pedigree to work in that department. His mother is a Southern Comfort sired female that also adds strong maternal characteristics and calving ease.

ZSL Kodiak 86N is a Malibu x Black Canyon pairing that has worked really well here in this individual. He has tremendous muscle and mass while also being free moving and sound footed. His depth, balance and sharp profile make him really easy to look at and appreciate the package that he is. His mother is a larger framed Black Canyon cow that is also easy doing and typical of the Black Canyons as good uddered as they come. If you want to add pounds to your steers and soundness to your heifers, consider 86N.

Velocity is one of the stoutest and thickest calves on offer in our black division. Even though he is moderate framed, he packs the pounds on him as seen with his 990 pound weaning weight. His picture tells the story. He is a sharp profiled herd sire prospect that is long bodied, deep flanked and heavy quartered. Not only has his sire, Warden, given him the genetics to make him good but then you add in his Missile sired mother to make him even better.

When is the last time that you saw a Shear Force bred herd sire prospect? Well, here he is and he’s a good one. It doesn’t take long to notice him in the pen with his deep body, big hip and heavy hair coat. His mother is a solid black, easy doing female with a little different pedigree but one that is a top producer which is why I bred her to Shear Force $$. Shear Force over the years has been one of the ultimate female makers in the Simmental business. This bull is definitely worth having on your short list.

KING PIN 121N

ZSL Advocate 199N is one of the special bulls in the pen this year. Not only is this guy polled, he’s homo polled and diluter free and coming from one of the really good young cows in the herd. To go along with those traits, ZSL Advocate comes fully goggled and scarlet red. This moderate framed bull has the performance and thickness to be a top prospect for any one looking for a homozygous polled fullblood bull. This individual will not be hard to pick out in the pen on sale day.

ZSL King Pin is one of the bulls that has what I call the wow factor. He is a polled herdsire prospect that is just plain stout and good. He is a bull that is wide topped and heavy quartered with a massive spring of rib that you just don’t see in many polled fullblood bulls. You also don’t see many fullblood bulls that are almost solid patterned like King Pin. His mother was our pick of Lone Stone’s sale offering a few years ago and she has turned out to be a special young cow. This bull is one that any astute breeder, looking to add performance and the polled factor using a fullblood bull, should be adding to their short list of possible herdsires.

ZSL PATRIOT 93N

This is a heavy goggled, almost blazed face bull that will not only be noticed for his color pattern but his extra length, depth of flank and full body capacity. He exemplifies a lot of the same characteristics that his sire, B Bar C Justify has, and has passed on to every calf he sires. Justify himself has been an easy keeping, fault free bull and female producing machine that just never misses.

Another polled Justify son out of a Dempsey cow that is just plain good. This blood red, heavy haired herdsire prospect came off his mother in September with an actual 915 pound weaning weight. His mother is a moderate framed, complete kind of cow with an udder that every cattleman tries to produce. If you want heavy steer calves and replacement quality females be sure to put 93N on your list.

Tribute 172N has a presence about him and he grabs your attention when he walks across the pen. He is a liver red, deep bodied, big hipped bull with a hell of a hair coat. His mother is a very good uddered, moderate framed cow that knows how to put performance and weight in her calves as seen in this bull. If you want your calves to push down the scales in the fall, consider 172N.

Here’s another cherry red, goggle eyed son of the ever consistent herd bull, B Bar C Justify. Pacific’s mother goes back to another herdsire, KHG Spur, that was very dominate here for a number of years and one who really improved udder quality in all of his females. Look for this bull to do the same for you with these desirable traits in the genetics of this bull.

205N is a polled, diluter free, herdsire prospect that is thick, powerful and hairy. He checks off a lot of the boxes including color, confirmation and disposition. This bull will sire the kind of calves that will be sought after in the sale ring. Add him to your herdbull battery and you will never be sorry.

ZSL BARON 128N

Moderate framed, deep bodied and easy keeping meat machine best describes this young herdsire. These Justify sired bull calves just continue to impress us year after year. He has been able to combine calving ease with exceptional growth rate in all of his progeny, male or female. 133N’s mother needs to be mentioned here as well, as she is just a really good moderate framed cow that is easy doing, deep sided and strong uddered.

Baron 128N is a polled performance oriented, fullblood bull that comes by that trait very naturally as his mother is one of the easiest doing, soft sided females in the herd. When we purchased her out of the MAVV sale offering two years ago and got her home, I don’t think there was a way to be happier with her. This bull is proof of what that cow can produce as her second calf and the value that she will have in our herd for years to come. Put this bull in your herd and you will see that extra value in a couple of years for yourself in the calves that he produces.

ZSL Broker 135N is a polled, solid made moderate framed bull that posted some good weights on the scale from his weaning weight through to his yearling weight. He is an attractive, well balanced, cherry red bull with excellent scrotal development who will mature into a dependable herdsire.

Okay, you have to get over the color pattern as this bulls broken color coat is totally not typical of his sire, Justify. Now that we talked about the elephant in the room, this bull is as long spined and stout made as any bull in the pen. His mother is a solid dark red cow with as much spring of rib as any in the herd and the perfect udder that IMax, her sire, is known for. She did one hell of a job on this calf as he weaned off of her at over 1000 pounds. This bull will produce the heavyweight calves that you will be proud of when you take them to town.

Wrangler 161N is a very good traditional bull from Justify out of another really good Imax cow that has brought in several good bull calves that have gone through our sale. Wrangler is a stylish bull with adequate muscling, above average growth, great color, hair and testicular size. A real solid choice to sire some performance into your next set of calves.

The length, balance, thickness and performance that Frontier shows are all great traits that he is sure to pass on to his calves. This guy is a chunk. He is moderate and extremely stout with the extra spring of rib that captures your attention from any angle in the pen. His mother is another Spur cow that we wish we had a whole herd of. Yes she’s a 2016 model and shes still producing at the top of the herd.

Traction 70N is a soft made, free moving bull with a big deep quarter and loads of capacity. This polled Justify son also comes with a really moderate birth weight yet weaned at 960 pounds with an actual January 5th weight of 1335 pounds. His mother comes with a little bit of a genetic twist as her sire is Logland Arrow, definitely not a common pedigree used here. We do have a few Arrow females in the herd and they are all very good young cows. You can expect some top end steer calves from 70N but the females that he produces you will want to keep in your herd.

ZSL MAGGIE 63N

Once you get past that gorgeous blazed face, the makeup of this heifer just blows your skirt up. With the depth and thickness that this heifer displays she can’t help but be an exceptional bull and female producer. Here at Spring Lake we have a lot of Tillman females in production and they are second to none. This is a female that should be popular on sale day.

This is a beautiful solid black heifer that comes from the heart of our open female pen. She is one that is not only deep and stout but extremely feminine and stylish. Her sire, ZSL Marucci was one of our front end black bulls that we had drawn semen on and the resulting calves that we have on the ground are exceptional and everything that we had hoped for.

ZSL CLEO 21N

This cherry red, goggle eyed, polled fullblood heifer is one that can fit at the top end of any astute cattleman’s heifer pen. She is the type of female that is thick enough and feminine enough to raise those desirable calves that will start your bull sale or stay in your herd as a front end replacement.

ZSL Ms Cleo 21N is a smooth and feminine heifer sired by the great SBV Reputation bull. She is mothered by a solid red, goggle eyed young female that will have a place in our herd for many years as she too is one that you can build a really good cow family from.

This heifers sire, NUG Malibu 325H has been a herdsire force here at Spring Lake for several years now. He has proven himself in both the bull calf pen, having produced many high sellers, and in the replacement female pen. His females give up nothing to any other sire group here on the farm. This solid red heifer will go on to be a favourite cow in her new owners herd. The Malibu females just don’t miss.

This is a smooth and feminine heifer sired by our new herd sire Black Gold Tycoon 198L. He sires females that are not only deep, thick and hairy but easy to look at being clean and sharp front ended. The pedigree alone that this heifer possesses should make her a ‘no miss’ kind of female and one that I would love to follow in her years of production to come.

Ms Millie 223 N is a beautiful dark red blazed face female that exhibits that balance of femininity with overall thickness and depth of body that we strive for in our best females. Her sire, Moe’s Revelation, is another one of our new bulls that has got us very excited after seeing his first calf crop.

This is a really good dark red and hairy female that comes with a little bit of a twist. She comes from one of our deepest and thickest fullblood cows. The cross between the red and the fullblood pedigrees has always given that little extra shot of performance.

If you like them moderate framed yet deep and powerful this BGS Tycoon heifer will fit right in to your program. She is mothered by a powerful, solid red cow that has been in the herd for some time because of her physical soundness and above average production record. Her bull calves have been in the front end of our bull sale and several of her females have been retained in the herd.

Another typical BGS Tycoon female that is not only thick and powerful in her makeup but is also very feminine and sharp front ended. We are looking for these females to have all of the wonderful qualities that BGS Tycoon’s mother is known for. Oh and by the way her own mother, ZSL 16H, is no slouch of a cow either.

These 15 commercial “purebred” heifers, are once again being offered to you without the papers. These females come from the same herd sires used in our entire program and females that are in our herd. There is a good cross section of red, black and blaze faced females in the group and they will be sorted accordingly on sale day. These young females will go on to be good cows in any new owners herd. Buy with confidence. They will be sorted in 5 groups of 3 accordingly on sale day. The groups of 3 will be highlighted in our sale video

If you are unable to attend the sale this year, online bidding will be available through DLMS, or give us a call or stop by the farm prior to sale to see the bulls. We have hired the most trusted sale staff we could think of to assist you with any purchasing requirements you may have in your absence. to see the quality. It is a pleasure working with this family as they continue to solidify their reputation for excellent genetics and soundness.

The bull feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization, gut health and as a result quality sperm production. Nutritional status of a bull, particularly from the previous 60-days can affect the semen quality being ejaculated today. Sperm production is a continuous process and proper nutrition is critical to maintain peak fertility and longevity of bulls. Bull calves are generally developed on grass with their moms on a quality mineral program.

Once bull calves are weaned, they are slowly moved onto a balanced TMR. The bulls are challenged with a forage-based TMR to help them develop and express their genetic potential. This is important for consistency of maturation and puberty of bull calves. Sampling and analyzing forages are important for properly balancing the overall ration.

Forage quality and digestibility are important for maximizing ruminal health. Matching suitable protein sources with proper starch with the available forage sources is key to promoting lean muscle growth. The addition of organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and overall health of bulls. All of these factors contribute to semen quality and conception within a herd.

If you have any questions about the nutrition program, please feel free to reach out. Buy with confidence knowing the bulls have been developed on a balanced nutrition program.
