On behalf of everyone here at SSF, we would like to invite you to our 13th annual bull sale on Friday, March 20th at Scott Stock Farm, Crossfield, AB.
First off, we would like to thank all of our past customers who have chosen our genetics and supported our sale. We have been selling bulls for over 30 years. From selling private treaty off the farm, to the Calgary Bull Sale, to the present, our 13th annual on farm bull sale!
The focus of our operation is rather simple, but effective… take care of our clients and continuously strive to improve our herd. With deep roots and family history of raising purebred cattle we feel more excitement about the future of the cattle industry than ever before!
Our focus has always been on building a cow herd with strong maternal traits - productive mothers that out-perform themselves, with high quality feet, udders and longevity.
In pursuit to continuously improve our cow herd and raise the highest quality bulls, we work extensively to research and seek out the best genetics to use. We set very high standards selecting new genetics that we feel confident will move us and our customers forward!
To quote Joe Goggins who recently shared at the start of the Schaff’s Angus Valley bull sale “Folks, we’re (beef producers) in the driver’s seat and we’re going to be for quite sometime!”
With strong returns on calves, cull cows and bulls, investing in quality bulls remains favourable.
We understand cattle producers are having to invest more in their bull purchases, as such we have brought back a few buyer incentives and are pleased to introduce a few new ones! For 2026, we are pleased to offer our customers the following buyers incentives:

This is our largest offering of bulls to date as we welcome the addition of the McLeod Cow herd. In 2025, we excitedly announced the purchase of the McLeod Livestock cow herd. A herd we’ve always admired for their performance, overall substance, mass and quality. Rod & April did an amazing job using only the highest quality and elite Charolais genetics and produced a consistent group of impressive females we are proud to own. An opportunity to purchase a group of cows with this much functionality and depth is rare, and we are so glad we did not pass it up! We want to thank Rod & April for their mentorship and guidance.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE
Scott Stock Farm Ltd. guarantees our bulls to be sound, fertile and reproductive in accordance with the terms & conditions stated in the Canadian Angus & Canadian Charolais Association’s breeders guarantee guidelines on all bulls sold. If a problem occurs, please contact Jonathan immediately. If the claim occurred within the first breeding season (prior to September 1st), we will work with you to provide a suitable replacement. We purposely keep extra bulls on hand in the spring for our customers in case anyone has a wreck. This guarantee does not cover death, injury or mismanagement. If after September 1st or a substitute bull isn’t available, a sale credit may be offered towards the purchase of another SSF bull. Our goal is your satisfaction with your SSF bulls!

Scott Stock Farm has implemented a comprehensive vaccine protocol for their cows and bulls. The cow herd is on a killed vaccine program with Triangle 10 HB to protect against respiratory pathogens and Leptospirosis. Cows also receive yearly clostridial and scour vaccines. Newborn calves are given Multimin, toltrazuril bolus, and Bovilis Nasalgen. All calves follow a modified live vaccine program comprising of Vision 8 somn and Bovisheild Gold one shot. Animals receive boosters at weaning and prior to sale. We purchased this bull in dam out of the Yarrow Creek dispersal sale and what a job she has done!! 115N’s full brother sold in December as a 10 month old calf for $14,500! Long bodied, muscular and stout. Out of a 6 year old cow who weaned this guy off easily at whopping 878 pounds and 116 index! He ranked 5th out of 101 bulls in his group.
