Ty, Sidney, Ellie & Wrenley

I would like to invite you to our 6th Annual Bull Sale held at our ranch in Waldeck, SK. Thanks to all our past, present and future customers for your support and confidence in our program. What an exciting time to be part of the cattle business. I truly love the cattle industry and the ability to raise my family in this lifestyle. We were very fortunate to welcome our second daughter Wrenley in May to the family. Both our daughters love the outdoors, doing chores, riding in the tractor and checking cows.
At Schwan Angus Ranch we have focused hard on building a strong cow herd; it has never been about numbers but rather quality. Our females need to be fertile – breeding back within two cycles, with great feet, udders, and disposition. You will notice progeny or daughters off our leading donors Brooking Annie 307, SAV Blackcap May 4610, JL Lady 5196, Soo Line Beauty 7147 just to name a few. The bull pen is no different. The bulls need to have growth, nuts, great feet, deep ribbed and muscle. To the customer more than ever you can expect high-quality, functional cattle.
We are thrilled about the bulls we have on offer. Once again, we have tried to bring you our very best bulls. You will notice we use a lot of our own raised bulls which I feel is a testament to our program plus some new sires like SAV Anthem, Blair’s External Law, Brooking Next Generation and SAV Scale House. Our four walking herd sires Brooking Frontline 2002, Schwan Journeyman 911G, Schwan Territory 2042 and Brooking Renovation 2106 have served us very well leaving awesome females and bulls that have been very admired by past customers. This set of bulls is deep, resulting from our embryo program,
strategic AI mating and the strong walking bulls. There is both a mix of performance and heifer bulls. You will not be disappointed.
I love talking to people that share the same passion for the cattle industry as I do. Please feel free to stop by anytime to have a look at the bulls. If you are unable to attend, give me a call or any of the sales staff as they will be happy to help you. Thanks for your interest and I hope you are able to join us sale day either in person or on DLMS.
Ty Schwan
At Schwan Angus Ranch, the focus has always been clear, build around elite Angus cow families and never compromise on the fundamentals that make great cattle profitable. Ty and Sidney, alongside their young family, and Jeff and Brenda have worked tirelessly to develop a powerful, productive cow herd grounded in the traits that matter most: foot quality, udder integrity, easy fleshing ability, structural soundness, and fertility.
The cow herd is built to be big-bodied, high-volume, feminine, and efficient, the kind that hold up year after year in real-world conditions. With strong maternal foundations and a relentless emphasis on longevity and function, these cows are designed to thrive in commercial environments.
That cow power translates directly into the bulls offered each spring. The result is a consistent set of big-bodied, stout-featured, goodlooking bulls with plenty of muscle, shape, and hair — bulls that are built to cover cows, add pounds, and leave behind productive daughters.
Each year, Schwan Angus Ranch is proud to supply bulls to some of the most progressive operations across Canada. That trust is something they value deeply and work hard to earn every single year.
Whether you’re a longtime customer or new to the program, the Schwan family looks forward to visiting with you, showing you the cattle, and helping you find the right herd sire to move your program forward. We look forward to seeing you and visiting about this exciting set of bulls!

Brooking Frontline was our absolute favourite from the 2023 Brooking Angus bull sale. He is an outstanding bull who boasts great feet, a masculine front end, a muscular hip, and superb hair. His sire SAV Bloodline 9578 was the top-selling $250,000 bull that adds extra growth, muscle and pounds to his calves; the sons are the heavy pay weight kind, and the daughters are angular and maternal appearing. The best thing about Bloodline is his truly incredible pathfinder dam, SAV Emblynette 2369 - she is almost unmatched in terms of phenotype, performance and production. Frontline’s dam Beauty 7051 is considered the ideal angus cow and a herd favorite at Brooking Augus. She is massive made, square hipped, awesome uddered, good foot and a beautiful angus head. She holds elite status within the Canadian Angus Association. The iconic TLA Beauty 6R is the grandam of Frontline. We believe in having strong cow families and this guy is stacked with them!

The first Frontline calf to sell was Brooking Madame Pride 4004 for $70,000 to Stormy River Ranch. We unfortunately lost Frontline last year during breeding but are thankful to have a bank of semen on him. This impressive lineup of brothers demonstrates the genetic excellence.
Lots 1-7 and Lots 28-33 are his direct progeny.
