Ruzicka Farms 8th Annual Ranchers Choice Simmental Bull Sale 2026 - DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auction

Page 1

Ruzicka Farm’s

Welcome to Ruzicka Farms Ltd. We are a third and fourth generation family farm. Our kids are now 17, 16, 13, 11, and 10, and 2 and they all keep us busy with sports and 4-H. We are grateful that we were chosen to be their parents and love watching them learn and grow. Our oldest, David is almost finished high school and is our right hand man when it comes to feeding and fixing. Our other kids all pitch in with chores in between the various sporting events.

We have a few different sire groups this year and we are super excited to see those bulls and females develop. We have been extremely happy with our Money and Jumangi daughter’s udder structure and maternal abilities. They have been a huge asset to our herd and we have another big group of them to breed this spring. Our purebred herd grew this past year and we ended up calving out more heifers than expected but they have done a great job.

We continue to be mixed farming operation, calving out about 125 purebred Simmental cows and 160 commercial cows. We would not be able to do it all without the help of our family. From babysitting, to feeding cows or checking pastures or running kids to hockey our parents and siblings are great supports. We also had our nephew Wyatt working along side David and they can accomplish along together from pulling bulls, moving cows and getting the crop off. This is our sixth Online Farm Gate Auction. We have really appreciated the positive feedback and the return and new customers with this format. The open house at the farm will be March 5 & 6 2026 in conjunction with our online sale. Visitors are more than welcome to stop anytime for a tour of the bulls and their dams. The bulls are fed a TMR daily complete with mineral. They have a few acres to roam around to ensure they are getting plenty of exercise. All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale.

Please ensure you are registered with DLMS prior to sale day. Full terms and conditions of the Farmgate style auction are on the DLMS website as well as the catalogue, videos, and up to date weights and scrotal measurements. Bulls must be paid for within 1 week of the sale via cheque, cash or etransfer. Bulls picked up within 2 weeks of the sale with receive at $50 discount. We encourage our buyers to purchase insurance on the bulls. Please contact Kolton Kauser at 780 387-8376 for your insurance needs. We look forward to seeing you all at the open house or for a visit anytime

FAQ:

WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding. HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

We love this guys build and muscling. He’s stout and round in all the right places. Nanking comes from a larger framed dark red cow who’s a bit different pedigreed than others. Her larger frame and dark red color and fleshing ability make her pedigree that much more desirable. Nanking is good haired with lots of power and herd bull written all over him. There is a 1/2 brothers at David Longs and Darren Issac’s.

This bull has changed so much since his photo was taken. He’s filled out so much more and really come into himself. We used another bull from Boundary Ranch for clean up on a few 4-H heifers. We only ended up with this one bull calf but he is made very cool. Super hairy, lots of top and fullness of quarter. He is super soft made and moderate framed. He has his dams crazy hair and length of body. Cayenne is a great choice for second calvers.

Navarre is out of our red heifer bull with only a 70lb birth weight, he is a great heifer bull prospect. Sweet headed, smooth shouldered with lots of roundness of quarter and fullness in his top third, Navarre still has enough performance for those first calf calvers. His dam is a first time Jumangi daughter with lots of length and power. We love how this heifer is put together from top to bottom. Good uddered, excellent footed with still the style of a feminine heifer. 95N
