FROM JACK AUCTION GROUP
Welcome to the Annual Prairie Select Multi-Breed Bull & Female Sale on behalf of Jack Auction Group and all of our outstanding consignors !
As we have all seen, this past year has been record setting whether it has been the slaughter, feeder or seedstock markets. The fall female sales were very good and so far this spring the bull sales have been fantastic. With that being said, our “bull buying strategy” has for decades, for progressive commercial cattlemen, been budgeting 5 of your steer calves to purchase your next herd bull. With last fall and this spring’s high feeder market, this year will be the “most inexpensive” year to replace your bulls as this year 3-4 steer calves ( $4000 per) will allow you buy a “herd improver” and possibly even pay for himself on his 1st calf crop. If your new bull adds 75 pounds per calf x 25 cows = 1875 lbs x $6.50/lb will return you apprx $12,000 the 1st year. This too has never been possible before, so our advice is buy the very best bull you can budget for ! This year’s sale has some extremely sound, functional, muscular and athletic bulls that will cover your cows, including several “Breeder Bull candidates”.
As well we have Registered Angus, Shorthorn and Shorthorn Plus females and 3 groups of 3 “ready to breed” quality Angus(x) replacement heifers. These have been selected out of very large groups of heifers.
If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the consignors or any of our JAG staff, we would be happy to help appraise your interests. If you are unable to attend the sale, we offer a FREE order buying service whether by absentee, phone calls or online with DLMS.
Cattle will be available for viewing Saturday, the afternoon prior.

Prairie Select 2026….new date, new location. But what hasn’t changed is the excitement of being in the Beef Industry, along with the quality of bulls we are presenting at this year’s sale. We saw record setting calf prices last fall and all indications are even stronger prices for Fall 2027 with a prediction of record setting commercial bred heifers. Now, more than ever, it is imperative to invest in a bull that will increase your bottom line, come weaning and leave a strong set of replacement females.
We strongly believe in offering good, honest cattle that will go out and work, and get the job done. As you sift through our purebred and plus lots, you will sense a strong presence of some foundation females with the likes of ND Orange Blossom 26X3, KL Gold Rose, Creekside Drama Queen 6X, and heavily sought after Preferred Stock genetics in the Simmental world. Bull power is provided by some influential greats such as JSF Times Square 120G ET, Saskvalley Pioneer 126P, Red Rose Gold Spear Ruffian, Paintearth Rama 53U, and a solid face Full Fleck Simmental from a prominent Alberta purebred producer.
Whether you are purebred or commercial operation, we are confident that any of our offerings will contribute to moving your program forward. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Marty, Shailyn, or any of the JAG staff!
Our group of bulls have been on an extensive herd health program. At birth, the calves received Toltrazuril, Nasalgen 3 PMH, Vitaferst, Duplocillin LA, and Multimin 90. They have been vaccinated and treated with Vista Once SQ in June with a booster at weaning, Vista 5 SQ (Feb), Covexin (Jun & Feb) Safeguard at weaning, Multimin 90 (Jun), and Cleanup II or Backline for external parasites. Kroner Cattle Co. reserves the rights to retain in-herd semen on any of our consigned bulls, at the seller’s expense and buyers convenience.

Third Select Sale, third time bringing another white bull to town – same quality as the last two High Sellers. In fact, KCC 2N is a half sib to KCC I AM LEGEND 1M, the Prairie Select 2025 High Seller purchased by Clearwater Farms Ltd. Kingsman is sired by none other than JSF Manhattan 194J. A bull that stamps his progeny with many similarities – wide foot, good leg structure, adequate bone, square hip, volume, excellent testicular development, and performance. His dam, Creekside Admiration keeps kicking out some good ones. Her 2024 calf, another Manhattan son, was selected out of our 2024 show string and is working for the good folks at Star P Farms, Humboldt SK. Her 2026 Great Guns heifer calf is destined for the replacement pen.

If you’re in the market for a roan heifer bull prospect, look no further. Of all the Great Guns calves we’ve had, 9N is stamped exactly like his sire. Nice headed, smooth through his front third. This dark red, heavy haired Great Guns bull is backed by strong maternal lineage. His dam is a 4-year-old roan Yesterday daughter that has a tremendous udder and stands on great feet and legs. For programs seeking to add dark cherry red colour, added extension and eye appeal, 6N checks all the boxes. We continue to be impressed with Great Guns for his consistency in siring deep bodied progeny with great hair coats, and a functional correct build.

Benicio’s maternal grandmother is Rosa 2A, and she is in a lot of our pedigrees for the right reasons. This bull offers a great level of muscle expression, depth of body and stoutness. He combines deep rib shape with added frame and length of extension resulting in a high performing, product driven type bull. He stands proud on a wide base with great feet and leg structure, and big square nuts. Put this Lad with a group of white cows or a group of Shorthorn momma’s, he will work either way.

“Peter” comes to you in a moderate Shorthorn Plus package. A direct son of Diamond Creek Great Guns 28G, a performance bull, that has done a tremendous job for us. KCC 3N is well balanced, is solid dark red, displays tons of middle, stands on good feet and legs, and is very quiet. His dam, 7Y, was a granddaughter of Anchor D Aztec 34N, a red, solid-faced Full Fleck that we purchased as a High Seller in 2004 from Anchor D Ranch. 7Y’s granddam was a TNT Preferred Stock cow that produced very well for us. Powerful Simmental genetics in this guy, and longevity built in as we just got rid of his 14-year-old momma. Peter is a full sib to KCC Medusa 77M, the Shorthorn Plus Reserve Champion Heifer Calf, Ag-Ex 2024 and Reserve Shorthorn Plus Heifer Calf and Reserve Shorthorn Plus Female, Farm Fair 2024.

If you’re searching for a herd bull that defines “meat and potatoes,” 9N deserves serious attention. Born at 92 lbs, he came easy and never looked back. He exploded to an actual weaning weight of 903 lbs (Sept. 21) and powered on to an impressive 1,340 lb yearling weight — the kind of performance that separates the good from the great.
He is stout-featured, big-bodied, and sound from the ground up. With extra depth, rib shape, and genuine muscle expression, 9N combines power with balance and presence. He’s attractive on the move, covers his tracks with authority, and has the kind of herd bull look that commands attention in the pen.
His dam, a proven HF cow in the prime of her production years, is everything you build a cow herd around — solid feet, a beautiful udder, and bred back first-cycle AI year after year. On the top side, he is sired by the rare-to-find S Architect, whose progeny are known for added growth, dimension, and real-world performance. Take a strong look at the pedigree on him, names you won’t want to miss. Expect daughters you’ll want to build around and sons that are masculine, rugged, and tip the scales down the road.
Top purebred quality from pedigree to phenotype. Fully vaccinated and Fusoguard protected, 9N is ready to anchor a breeding program this season. When the dust settles on sale day, 9N is the kind that headlines programs — not just the pen

This son of Schiefelbein Attractive is sure to catch your eye with his rugged presence and impressive mass. He boasts a standout pedigree, featuring Final Answer and JMB Traction on the top side, with Connealy Consensus, DHD Traveler, and Remington Right Time backing him on the bottom.
His donor dam was my first purebred purchase from Brian and Judy Sutter, and she has exceeded expectations in every way. She’s a true power cow who consistently adds performance and pounds to her calves. She milks like a Holstein, maintains excellent maternal function, and calves with ease.
7N posted an actual weaning weight of 853 lbs and a yearling weight of 1,280 lbs. He is sound-footed, long-bodied, and packed with capacity and hair. If you’re looking for a dependable ranch bull to go out and cover cows, 7N will get the job done.
He is fully vaccinated, including Fusoguard, and his EPDs are AngusHD enhanced for those who study the numbers closely.

Welcome to the Prairie Select Sale! Our family farms near St. Paul, raising Black Angus, Simmental and Maine-Anjou cattle with a focus on functional pedigrees, cow families, and consistent proven performance. The kids are active in 4-H and have enjoyed success in junior shows while helping build both our herd and their own. Kyle and Emily are currently studying in Oklahoma and have been members of their school livestock judging teams. You’ll also notice Ethan and Kurt’s ear tattoos on many of these bulls — they have a good eye for quality and are decisive and ruthless when it comes to culling.
This year we culled the bull pen aggressively and are offering only our best Angus bulls in this sale. They earned some attention down our alley at the Medicine Hat Pen Show in December. Our Simmental bulls have been selected for the Northern Connection Simmental Sale, and additional bulls and females — including Maine-Anjou — are available by private treaty. We routinely use AI and are increasingly producing embryos from our proven donors and select purchased genetics to strengthen a reliable foundation. Cow families are the cornerstone of our program — you’ll often find pieces of our top families woven throughout pedigrees — and buyers have rewarded that focus.
Progeny purchased from us in Northern Select sales have performed exceptionally well. Recent highlights include top lots in production dispersal sales: Dwajo Angus ($17,500) and Allan Dale Angus ($17,500 and $14,000 calf-at-side).
We look forward to showing you the bulls and their dams on the farm any time and if you don’t make it here we’ll see you in Rimbey!

CARPS Nightmoves 344N is a calving-ease standout sired by LFE Best Answer 800H, he was bred for calving ease and delivered more than expected. Nightmoves 344N is the kind of bull that makes you smile at turnout and again at weaning. He came with a tidy 60 lb birth weight and still posted a big growth spread off a first-calf heifer and kept up in the developing pen. He carries the best of our Bardolia cow family — moderate frame, excellent udders, low birth weights, and easy temperaments. He’s hairy, deep-sided, big ribbed, stylish and structurally correct. With a calm, easy-handling nature (the crew nicknamed him “Cookie Monster” , I’m sure the boys fed him a cookie or two, lol). If you want to preserve calving ease without sacrificing performance and maternal predictability, Nightmoves 344N is the bull to add to your tool box.

Sired by SAV Density 4336 and maternally reinforced by SAV Renovation 6822, We liked No More Tears right from the start so much that we flushed his dam last spring the same way and the ET calves coming on the ground have been averaging mid-80s weights. He’s big-topped, clean-made through his front end, deep ribbed, and has quarters that express real muscling while maintaining moderate birthweight and solid growth. Note: dam is milking on two quarters (no fault of hers), yet this calf still developed exceptionally. Look to No More Tears to sire productive females and add commercial pounds.

He’s deep-ribbed, long-bodied, wide-based and square-hipped with a big top and an expressive, muscled quarter — the kind of bull that stamps thickness and soundness on his calves. Maternal strength is built right in: his granddam is the dam of CARPS No More Tears 80N, a direct example of this cow family’s consistency and herd-building ability. No Diggity 115N combines maternal integrity with honest performance. Sired by PF TJL Hendrix RLP 8H and tracing back to the famed Musgrave 316 Stunner, he was bred to add extra beef while keeping a moderate frame and excellent udder genetics from his dam — truly one of the prettiest angular Angus cows on the farm (recently pictured before calving) No Diggity carried a bit more punch at birth than some but presented no calving difficulties. We’ve relied on a maternal brother in our heifer pen this year and are pleased with the results. He’s a genuine, straightforward bull — not a halter-bred showman and prefers the pen life — but his growth, performance and maternal backing make him a strong option for both purebred and commercial operations seeking dependable calves with substance.

Soft Creek Nova 2N is a capacious Queen. With a large spring of rib and great depth of body, she’s a heifer that shows great potential for the breeding pen. Her dam is one of the foundation females of our shorthorn plus program purchased from Waskwei Creek Ranch. Sired by Muridale Phantom 10F, this powerful heifer is one to keep an eye on! Registered 75% shorthorn plus.

Soft Creek Navada 1N is a long bodied, smooth sided heifer, that really carries herself powerfully in her back end. Her dam is a deep-bodied broody cow from our commercial herd carrying a 4-way cross (Speckle Park, Angus, Hereford, Charolais). Building on this hybrid vigour with a shorthorn pairing was a no brainer and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Registered shorthorn plus 50%.

Very productive young dam, always calves early in the first cycle, only 10 days difference between her three calving dates. Her dam is good footed, great tempered and has a beautiful tight udder. Rita 2N can be shy when she doesn’t know you but once she is comfortable she is a sweetheart. Well underway in being halterbroken.

Dam Emma 31L moved up 45 days on her calving this year. Dam is a beautiful, smooth made female, lots of femininity and she has a great foot under her and a picture perfect udder. I’m looking forward to seeing her dam grow and age because she has so much promise for a young female. If Emma 23N follows in her dams footsteps as I anticipate she will, she’ll be one to keep for many years. Halterbreaking is well underway.

Miss Lucy 87H is a cow that always catches my eye in the field, she is a bit more moderate in her make but she still carries huge capacity, depth and length to her. She has a nice correct udder, and stands on a good set of feet. 50N was her first daughter and I’m very sad to be parting with her. 50N is the complete package and the spitting image of her dam, she has the sweetest personality and would make a fantastic project for a junior. She’s taken to the halterbreaking very well and loves the extra attention she gets while being tied up.

Commercial 147G has been a great cow in our commercial herd, she gets it done every time. She always calves easily and is a great milker, her calves always come in on the bigger end. Junie is as docile as they come, and she will mature into a larger framed cow. She is halterbroken.

CJ comes from the first commercial cow family I had, and it is one of the best cow families on the farm. They are very maternal and raise stunning females, but they also bring in heavy weight steers year after year. There are 10 working females in the herd. CJ is a heifer I think would be a great junior project as well, she is very docile and loves the extra attention of being halterbroken. I fully stand behind CJ and she is one I definitely shouldn’t be parting with so buy with confidence on this heifer.

Betty’s dam 142J is a more moderate framed female but she always raises incredible calves. 142J has a beautiful udder, a smooth build and she stands on a solid foot. She always calves around the same time and has done well around here considering she was the youngest heifer in the replacement pen her year. Super productive cow family, around 15 females walking our herd, they raise beautiful females and big steers year after year. Betty is the youngest heifer in my offering but that doesn’t slow her down any as she is one of the heaviest.
