What a year it has been! From an unseasonably warm start to winter, to a late, cold, and wet seeding season, followed by a hot, humid summer and, thankfully, a beautiful open fall — 2025 reminded us once again how unpredictable and humbling agriculture can be. We couldn’t be more grateful to be part of an industry that lets us experience every season to its fullest.
We were fortunate to put up a solid year’s supply of feed and harvest what we could from our crops, setting us up well heading into winter. Here’s hoping 2026 continues to cooperate on that front. On the cattle side, the year brought some of the strongest markets we’ve seen, rewarding the dedication and hard work of producers. Watching steer calves push over the $4000 mark, with heifers not far behind, was an incredible sight and a testament to quality, consistency, and sound management. As always, the top-end calves earned the premiums, and that remains our focus and goal.
Running 450 head of purebred and commercial cows across two calving seasons allows us to gain realworld, hands-on experience in what functional cows should be built like and what bulls must be able to handle over a lifetime of work. Being involved in the cattle business year-round helps shape our program, and we’re proud to share that experience with our customers.
The extended fall allowed us to attend Brandon Ag Ex, Yorkton Harvest Showdown, and CWA, while also wrapping up harvest, late-season grazing, weaning, cow moves, corral maintenance, and all the “to-dos” before freeze-up. We’re incredibly thankful for the crew, friends, and family who helped make it all happen — your support never goes unnoticed.
Just a few months ago, we wrapped up another successful Cream of the Crop Female Sale alongside our valued partners: Evy at Downhill, Tyson and family at TSN, and Ken, Kerri, and the girls at KCH. We’re grateful to work with such a strong group and are excited to carry that momentum into our February Bull Sale. This year, you can expect the same tremendously highly quality genetics under a new fresh name “The Power and Progress” Bull sale.
We encourage you to study this year’s bull offering and to visit with Jake or Laura about purchasing a bull sight unseen. Understanding your environment and management is key to helping match you with the right bull for your operation. While the bulls offered are still cattle — and cattle can surprise us — we stand behind our program and will work with you to ensure your purchase is successful. Please

5088N makes an immediate and lasting impression the moment you step into the bullpen. He is a bull that demands attention and, in our program, checks all the boxes—firmly positioning himself as one of the standout individuals in this offering.
Evaluate 5088N from the ground up and the quality is undeniable. He combines an exceptional level of performance with natural muscle expression, depth of rib, and true herd bull presence. Beyond the power, it is his structural integrity that truly sets him apart. He boasts a large, well-designed foot, excellent joint angles, and a smooth, fluid stride that speaks to longevity and real-world functionality. Add to that his balance, eye appeal, and extended look, and you have a bull that is as attractive as he is practical.
We are particularly impressed with 5088N’s added frame and length of body—traits that have become a consistent and reliable hallmark of the No Limits sire group. These cattle are built to cover ground, add pounds, and thrive in progressive, performance-driven programs. For cattlemen focused on growth, efficiency, and profitability, the No Limits sons deserve serious consideration.
Backing 5088N is an elite and proven maternal line. His dam, 1035J, has firmly established herself as one of the cornerstone donors in our program. A $42,000 highselling calf herself, she continues to validate her genetic value by producing high-quality, high-demand progeny. Her influence is already felt in leading operations, with sons working for respected breeders including Nate Marin and Reanne Sandford, Steppler Farms, and Clint Robertson. The consistency of this cow family is further highlighted by recent sale results: a full sister to 5088N commanded $44,000 to Lewis Farms at Cream of the Crop, while a 7/8 sister out of HFL Rose 3050L and No Limits topped the market at $70,000 during Friday Night Lights. This is a proven, high-performance lineage that continues to deliver at the highest level.
In 5088N, buyers will find a powerful combination of phenotype, structure, performance, and elite maternal backing—making him a legitimate option for those looking to add impact, consistency, and long-term value to their breeding program.

5077N is a bull that genuinely excites us, combining a bold rib shape, ample muscle expression, and structural integrity, all while standing on a sound foot and leg design. He is backed by the influential 1035J donor cow and offers a pedigree and EPD profile that both support calving ease, further reinforced by his smooth, functional build. What sets him apart is the level of performance, capacity, and dimension he brings while still fitting the calving ease category, along with a unique and progressive pedigree. The added visual appeal of his striking goggleeyed blaze, paired with a proven, high-quality dam, makes him a valuable option for adding performance and profitability to first- and second-calf females. It is also worth noting that he was raised by one of our higher-performing recipient cows, which may have contributed to his 96 lb birth weight. MATERNAL

5016N & 5043N - This impressive pair of 3050L sons represents a cow family we are extremely confident in and one that will continue to gain recognition moving forward. 3050L has already established herself as an elite female, highlighted by a dominant fall campaign included National Heifer Calf Champion, Blackgold Classic Supreme Champion, Reserve Ag Ex All Breeds Jackpot Heifer, and CWA Intermediate Heifer Calf Champion honors. We retained a partial interest while selling half ownership to Maders, and she has been aggressively flushed since. Her first ET calf crop has been exceptional, producing these two powerful herd bull prospects, an outstanding full sister that ranks among the very best females we have ever raised, and a No Limits daughter for Maders who was named CWA Senior Heifer Calf Champion and Junior Beef Extreme Reserve Supreme Champion. That female later commanded $70,000 through FNL, underscoring the demand and momentum behind this cow family. The influence of 3050L is just beginning. These two bulls are remarkably consistent in design and quality. They are massive hipped, square based, big footed, and offer a great deal of natural power while maintaining balance and structural integrity. Both feature attractive skulls and an exceptional front third, being smooth shouldered for their amount of mass and tying cleanly through the neck and chest floor. They carry themselves with confidence and presence, giving them a bold, eye-appeal-driven look that stands out. These bulls offer an early opportunity to invest in what is shaping up to be a cornerstone lineage.

Dark Horse
The Dark Horse progeny were our most highly anticipated sire group of 2025, and they have more than lived up to expectations. With exceptionally high standards going into the year, Dark Horse exceeded them in every respect. Dark Horse was our $44,000 selection from Maxwell’s 2024 Bull Sale, chosen for his exceptional foot quality and structural soundness, soft build, heavy hair coat, added frame while maintaining balance and overall completeness, and an outstanding EPD profile. He has proven to be an exceptional breeding bull, with both sons and daughters consistently expressing his trademark softness, stoutness, abundant hair, and superior foot quality, all while keeping birthweights moderate and demonstrating a large spread from birth to weaning. His sons are true replicas of Dark Horse himself, demonstrating early maturity and impressive scrotal development. Following his rookie calf crop, it is clear that Dark Horse aligns perfectly with our breeding philosophy, and he will remain a cornerstone of our program moving forward. We were truly excited to be slapped Supreme Champion at the Yorkton pen show with a trio of Dark Horse sons and truly feel he is a breeding piece for the Simmental breed.

5020N is a homozygous polled, homozygous black Dark Horse son that has impressed us from the very start. He combines eye appeal with true real-world functionality. This bull offers an extra level of muscle expression, carrying depth and shape down into a well-defined twist, while remaining round made, long bodied, and sound on a big, square foot. He excels in his front third, providing added extension, smoothness, and balance that enhance his overall structural integrity. An additional strength is his outstanding young dam, whom we believe has significant donor potential. In just two years of production, she has already proven herself—first raising a True North daughter that rose to the top of her contemporaries, went on to a successful show career, and sold through the Associate Invitational to Cache Schiller. 5014N This bull is difficult to overlook in the bull pen, as he has been impressive from birth and has consistently stood out within his contemporary group. 5014N offers an added measure of frame and body length, while remaining exceptionally well balanced and functional in his design. He combines strong rib shape with overall dimension, along with a large, well-developed scrotal and evident early masculinity. Structurally, he is extremely sound, standing on a big, well-constructed foot and traveling with ease and correctness. His completeness and functionality are especially evident when viewed on the move. He is backed by a highly proven Pulse daughter purchased from Mar Mac, a cow that has produced a high-quality herd bull prospect year after year and ranks among our top-earning females. Her consistent production, along with excellent udder quality and strong, square attachment, adds significant maternal value to this offering.

5100N ranks among our absolute favourites in the bull pen. He is proud fronted, sharp in his appearance, docile in disposition, and soundly constructed, with added eye appeal provided by his blaze face. This is a bull we would confidently retain and utilize within our own breeding program.
Foot quality is a major strength of this individual, and with influential lineage such as Bretta and No Limits appearing on both sides of the pedigree, that consistency comes as no surprise. He is one of the widest based bulls in the pen, offering a soft, big-ribbed, easy-fleshing design while maintaining a level top line and smooth shoulder structure. He stands square and true on all four feet and transitions cleanly into an attractive skull that is carried high off his shoulders.
This bull combines phenotype, structure, and pedigree strength in a way that should not go unnoticed. With No Limits no longer available, 5100N represents an excellent opportunity as a blaze-faced performance sire capable of filling that role moving forward.

5035N is the biggest ribbed and most explosive in terms of capacity, rib shape and depth of rib of the Bretta X No Limits offering. A homozygous polled, homozygous black calf, he has generated significant interest and is one we believe offers strong maternal value. He posted an impressive yearling weight of 1,420 lb and ranks in the top 1% of the breed for both weaning weight and yearling weight. These No Limits cattle are true performance cattle.
BRETTA GRAND DAUGHTER
HORNER CATTLE CO.
5019N - Another high-quality son of No Limits & Bretta, who combines exceptional length and style. He ranks among the smoothest and most well-balanced progeny from this mating. Backed by a solid and reliable EPD profile, he places in the top 35% of the breed for Calving Ease and Birth Weight, top 20% for both Weaning and Yearling Weight, and remains within the top 40% for maternal calving ease. He complements this performance profile with an impressive projected 1,340lb yearling weight, offering a growthoriented calf that excels in both functionality and performance.
- The Bretta × No Limits sons continue to stand out as a powerful and consistent sire group. For producers looking to add performance and punch to their calf crop, this set of sons offers exceptional value. This solid black Bretta son is among the longestbodied and biggest-hipped bulls in the entire offering. He ranks in the top 1% of the breed for both Weaning Weight and Yearling Weight, posting an actual yearling weight of 1,360 pounds. Mothered by a beast of a recip cow, we do believe a bit of his birthweight is merit to that powerful recap cow who stood at the bunk for most of the winter!

He was born unassisted at a moderate 86 lb birth weight and is supported by early-gestation and EPDs that strongly indicate calving ease while still maintaining meaningful performance. We are extremely confident in his ability to be utilized on heifers, and we plan to retain semen for use within our own breeding program. His young dam continues to establish herself as an elite, rising female within our herd. She successfully raised 5001M as a first-calf heifer, rebred early, and has since produced an outstanding Fortify heifer calf. She is a cow we value highly for her soft, feminine design and exceptional udder quality, making her an easy standout and a consistent favorite in our cow herd. Beyond his pedigree and numerical data, 5001M excels in real-world performance. He competes alongside mature cow bulls, posting an impressive 1,300 lb yearling weight. He is powerfully muscled, deep-ribbed, and sound on his feet and legs, with appropriate bone density and structural integrity. He maintains a smooth, extended front one-third, complemented by a masculine herd bull head and presence. His fresh pedigree, influenced by Walk This Way and Red Wolf genetics, offers a unique and outcross option compared to many bulls currently available on the market, adding further value and appeal to this young sire.

We could not be more pleased with the ET progeny produced by McIntosh Lady 50K. We believe Lady to be a once-in-a-lifetime female, one that has exceeded our expectations in every respect. From a phenotypic standpoint, she is as complete as they come. Her udder quality is truly exceptional—regardless of breed, it would be difficult to design one more ideal. She stands on an outstanding foot and combines structural correctness with angularity and strong maternal character. Lady also possesses the length, stretch, and frame that she has consistently passed on to both her sons and daughters. Embryos recently just demanded $5250 each, the demand for her genetics is strong. These three sons represent exactly what we hoped to achieve from this mating. Each exhibits a dark, blood-red color with a heavy hair coat, exceptional foot quality, smooth construction, and a masculine herd bull presence. They are long-bodied, well balanced, and carry impressive scrotal development. Progressive breeders should take note—these are the kind of bulls capable of advancing a breeding program. You can’t help but be totally impressed with the frame score, large foot, stretch and extension 5048N possesses. He is the largest frame of the trio, but still incredibly well balanced, complete and possesses and awesome skull with dark red features and incredibly docile with a large scrotal. A frame score smaller than his big brother; but not moderate by any means 5050N hits you hard right off the bat; round made, heavy muscled, heavy haired, soft made and again an awesome skull and masculine front 1/3rd. We look the look and presence this guy possesses and have no doubt he will make some friends. Again, a super dark red big scrotalled herd sire prospect. Not to be outshone by his other brothers, 5042N is another big framed, stretchy high capacity bull. We couldn’t be more impressed with the early maturity and large scrotal on these 3 brothers.

His dam was acquired as the high-selling female from the Mader’s sale several years ago, stemming from a cow family we have admired for an extended period and intentionally pursued. The mating to Mountain View has proven to be a highly successful combination. For programs seeking to add rich dark red color, added extension, and eye appeal, this bull checks all the boxes. We continue to be impressed with Mountain View for his consistency in siring deep, dark red progeny with exceptional hair quality and a functional, correct build. His pedigree is further strengthened by the influence of the Ashworth and Westway programs, both known for producing sound, productive females—adding depth and confidence to the maternal side.
5017N - One of the few red Dark Horse sons on offer, this bull offers a highly practical and proven pedigree. He combines strong calving-ease credentials with maternal strength, making him a reliable option for making awesome replacement females. The Heidi cow family has consistently produced some of our most impressive females— deep-bodied, wedge-shaped, structurally sound, and highly fertile, with exceptional udder quality. A Heidi daughter was recently selected by Blackgold for $26,000 in our fall sale, underscoring the strength of this maternal line.
