Welcome to the 26th Annual On Target Bull Sale. Last year’s sale was the best ever and with the cattle industry still exploding everywhere this year’s sale is a must attend. Dwajo Angus, Cinder Angus and SIBL Simmentals with KD Simmentals continue the tradition of servicing the area with top quality bulls for you, their customer. One thing that has never changed is the service the group provides for their customers; listening to what their needs are and making sure they are satisfied with the product.
The consignors have put together a very strong set of bulls for you to analyze this year. This sale continues to be a leading event in Northern Alberta with the uniqueness of the offering available for all clients. The families involved are hard-working, dedicated, and progressive breeders. Sound, good footed, docile bulls with longevity built in mind. This is found true when visiting with the many repeat buyers over the 26 years for the consignors. This sale has everything you need in the Angus and Simmental breeds, a one shop event.
SIBL Simmentals, KD Simmentals, Cinder Angus and Dwajo Angus have been leading seedstock producers for the customers across Northern Alberta. The bulls offered in each operation are very consistent and very useable bulls for all. This could be the best set assembled for this group.

• All cattle will sell under the standard terms and conditions set forth by the CAA and CSA.
• Terms - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque. All monies are in Canadian funds. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; payable at par to OBI. All settlements must be made with the clerk before any cattle will be released.
• Disputes - Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.
• Liabilities - all persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur.
• It is understood that OBI is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does OBI assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce the collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between buyer and seller.
• Insurance - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold, so we do recommend insurance. Sale Cattle - All cattle will sell according to the Lot Number tags in the catalogue

We guarantee to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing cows. In the event that your bull is a non satisfactory breeder, the seller will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for more than the original selling price of any bull or female sold in the sale. The consigner will not provide replacement or credit for physical injury or mismanagement. Therefore we stress the importance of insurance on your bull. An insurance agent will be available sale day. Note: Bulls can be wintered until April 15, 2026 at no charge but all bulls kept must be insured.

We are also incredibly thankful for the close friends who are always only a phone call away during the tough times. Weather conditions were unpredictable, with dry stretches throughout much of the year, followed by the most snowfall we’ve seen in years this past December. We were blessed to welcome our granddaughter, Millie, in May. Grandchildren truly have a way of changing your outlook on life. While ongoing bi-monthly infusions have kept me from helping as much as I’d like, they seem to be doing their job—or perhaps Millie is the real motivation.
This year’s bulls are the most consistent group we have offered in years. The offering includes ET calves, exciting new sire groups, and proven old faithfuls. Welcome to the 26th Annual On Target Bull Sale. What a year it has been in the beef industry. While not without challenges, we have seen unprecedented prices in all classes of cattle. The optimism continues to be strong and good quality cattle are still in extremely high demand. We are excited to once again work with an amazing group of people and breeders, Dwajo Angus, Cinder Angus and the families that stand behind their product 100%.
The past year we have continued to refine our breeding programs and add important breeding pieces to help us bring a better product for your appraisal each year. From new herd sires and exclusive semen packages to future donor females and researched mating decisions.
Our offering for 2026 contains a set of bulls we are proud of with many half and ¾ brothers backed by a strong set of mother cows. As many of you know, these bulls are the combination of 2 breeding programs that are very geographically different, but it truly speaks to the diversity and adaptability of the Simmental breed. These cattle work in the grey wooded soil zones to the native prairie and all landscapes between. Once again, this year the bulls were fed together beginning in September and were fed a high forage total mixed ration to optimize health and development.
