Welcome fellow cattle producers. What an ideal time to be in the cattle industry. Record high prices and tons of optimism rolling it to 2026. I would hope that we will all be able to ride this high for years to come. Although NA BAR Land & Cattle might be a brand that you haven’t heard of much doesn’t mean we are new to the cattle business. In 1987 I received a spotted-up Brahman heifer from the Skori Herd south of Kinsella as a Christmas present from Santa Clause. The start of my passion for cattle began that day. I have had cattle every day since. In the fall of 2002, I purchased my very first purebred Simmental cows at the Black Gold dispersal sale. Since then, I’ve gone on to have some amazing partnership with other purebred breeders that only grew my desire to start up my own pb herd. I have been selling private treaty off the farm for the past 5 years. I decided I should maybe try a new avenue for my 6 Th year of utilizing the online Farm Gate auction service through DLMS. I have used this service on several occasions and find it extremely easy to use. This will allow a true price discovery of the bulls. I like that you, the buyers will set the price rather than myself.
Onto the bulls. I am a true 2yr bull breeder. With spring calving I find it hard to push the bulls enough to be able to sell them as yearling. Having confidence in sending bulls to producers that are ready to work depending on their calving period was keeping me up at night. The only person that hates open cows more than the owner of the cows is the guy that sold them the bull lol. It is our responsibility to make sure we set the purchaser up for success. These 2yrs bulls of ours show up ready to work. More rugged, full of muscle, free moving with bigger feet, and bigger bone in their legs to be able to do a hard day’s work. They can make miles and keep their condition which is important. We calve out over 300+ momma cows currently with 200ish having papers. I do 4 different culls on the bulls to get them to this point. With retaining ownership longer than most others this allows me to have a longer window to cull out bulls that just don’t make the cut.

No bulls here have been sold prior to the sale and none have been exposed to a creep feeder. With knowing I’m going to hold them to sell as 2yrs olds I do not feel the need to maximize their weaning weight. After weaning I put them on a grower ration with a moderate rate of gain for their first winter. They head to pasture in the spring in nice healthy shape and are brought home sometime in late October/November where they are slowly introduced to the winter ration. Bullseye bull developer pellets – corn silage – alfalfa silage – dry hay - are blended together to make up an idea TMR. The bulls are grown slowly to help maximize longevity. That is one of our goal around here.
I would like to take the time to say a heartfelt thank you to all my previous bull buyers. Your support over the past several years has meant a lot to me. To be part of the equation of your success is important and something I strive to provide with every bull.
That being said, I hope to open my customer list by publicly listing with this avenue and looking forward to meeting new potential customers. The bull pen is open for the month of February so feel free to stop in anytime to look at the bulls. I feel it’s truly important that you come see the bulls with your own eyes before the sale but if you are unable, please feel free to call me, or a sales consultant listed to discuss any bulls that you might be interested in

DELIVERY :
$250 off a bull if picked up at the farm within a week of the sale. Free delivery within 250kms will take place shortly after the sale and into the early part of April. $5/day after April 1. Further distance will be at cost. All bulls should be insured to protect your investment. Once the sale is over the bull is owned by the purchaser. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased. Accidents happen and we will do our best to keep every bull safe until delivery. My one observation over the years is that with my cows calving in March & April and a bunch of open heifers cycling across the fence, insurance might be a good idea. These 2-year-olds just have that much more strength & power than yearling bulls. Early delivery is also a great option!

Although this is the first time Tyler and family have offered their bulls for sale through DLMS FarmGate, this certainly is not the first year they have offered bulls for sale. Each year I travel out to the ranch and feed test the forages on farm. From there we build diets for the herd including the bulls on offer. We blend on-farm forages with some added bull pellet to develop these bulls to their best genetic potential. The bulls are developed on grass during the summer months and then moved onto a balanced TMR that promotes lean muscle. The bulls are challenged with a forage-based TMR to help them develop their genetic potential. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and overall health. If you have any questions about the nutrition of the sale bulls, please feel free to call. Best of luck on sale day!

Tied for the heaviest weaning weight in the black bulls. Dam came from the RPLUS dispersal. Longevity bred into the pedigree as she will be tuning 12 this spring and bred up early again. Unfortunately WRC Broadway was lost during his second breeding season here. Don’t overlook this guy. He will have sire great steers and top end replacement heifers

NA BAR MR KNOCKOUT 927M

CA-PG1539927 | 18/3/2024 |TLR 927M

Long and deep with a super quite disposition. He is always looking for a scratch in the bull pen. Purple red with dark hooves to the ground on all 4 corners. TLR 927 dam always keeps herself in great condition. Milks well from her real tidy udder. Heaviest red bull at weaning in the fall of 2024. Don’t miss out on this big rascal. Only Circle G Knockout son this year but more coming in the future.

Was my pick at weaning in the fall of 2024 for the red bull calves. Some much balance and style with a small head. TLR 32M is out of 2 black-hided parents that you’ll want to keep replacement heifers from. CLNO 32F is a Blackgold cow sired by Poker Face which means tons of maternal genetics built in this guy. DMJ 12k is a blaze face bull from Ag-Land Farms in Manitoba that sires both strong bulls and high end replacement heifers.

NA BAR MR LINCOLN 490M

TLR 490M puts a lot of desirable traits together in one package. Big long frame, depth of body, strong square feet on all 4 corners. No surprise coming from Sun Rise Lincoln. He is a direct son from the famous Spring Creek Brooke 68Z and the $150K R Plus Yuma. Darryl Snider sent me his blaze dam from WLB and I’m sure glad that he did. She has a dynamite udder, small perfect teats and milks well. Homo Polled by parentage

NA BAR MR RIP 162M

TLR 162M is deep and wide where you would want bulls to be. Walks out nice on his correct legs & feet. He comes with smooth shoulders and has a small head. Goes back to a Maxwell cow with calving ease in her pedigree. Should work well on any type of cattle.

I really like this dark red Ladies Man son. Reminds me of his sire a lot. He is royally bred going back to 56U x Spring Creek Brooke 68Z. I had a lot of success walking Ladies Man here for 4 breeding seasons. It was hard to see get on the truck this fall. His legacy will carry on here in his females. I have retained every female from M+S 29C. Top end feminine females full style with tremendous udders. Might want to pay attention on this guy.

Dark red beef bull out of WRC Broadway and a tank’y Beef Maker daughter from Maxwells. He is deep & correct. A bull that anyone could use. Once again backed by the famous 202Z cow family. 89M is going to sire those big strong steer calves that all the buyers are after and the females should be extremely high quality.

NA BAR MR EYE CANDY 94M
CA-BPG1539937 | 4/4/2024 |TLR 94M

Real interesting Eye Candy bull with a nice small skull that should find some friend that tour the bull pen. Ties a lot of desirable attributes into a solid package from top to bottom. I can’t say enough about the Maddie cow family that goes back to JF American Pride that walked at Double Bar D. Maternal brother to a real nice bull Brian Cumming selected a few years back.

NA BAR MR BLEND 114M

Special Blend sired bull with stretch, natural muscle, and eye appeal. Long bodied and dark red with a square hip. TLR 114m dam is a no-fault cow and is easy on the eyes. These 2yr bulls should really cover some cows for their new owners. Full brother in pedigree to TLR 14M. Double them up and get some consistency in your next calf crop

Here is a pretty neat Ninja son that is just like the rest in the sire group. Deep, square, masculine, stands on a strong foot, and “the good Simmental hair”. His Mader dam milked hard and always brought in a top calf. I haven’t mentioned in the Ninja bull sire group yet about his flush dam. I am continually trying to build my cow herd around top end flush cows like LRX 56B.

NA BAR MR BLEND 14M

TLR 14M is a real complete bull from top to bottom, and front to back. He checks off what most guys are looking for in a bull. Wide top & straight backed with nice dark coloring. Would be a full brother in pedigree to TLR 114M.

NA BAR MR BLEND 185M
CA-PG1539941 | 17/4/2024 |TLR 185M

Smooth shoulders and attractive small skull on this free striding red blaze face bull. Would work well on a group of second/third calvers with his 83 lb BW. TLR 185J is a red bald face cow with a real nice udder.

NA BAR MR EYE CANDY 162M
CA-BPG1539942 | 23/4/2024 |TLR 62M

Large frame bull with lots of natural thickness and a strong wide base. Easy doing with a quite disposition. Has the herd bull look. A little different pedigree out of Eye Candy x Terminator. Youngest bull in the sale but you can’t tell. Nice birth weight to weaning weight spread with no creep.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTION WITH EXTENDED BIDDING:
1.Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS Farm Gate timed auction site www.farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots, or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after close time will extend the sale by the time listed on each sale. In most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Following the sale the Consignor or Sale Manager will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

FAQ:
WHAT IS
RACEHORSE
STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
