ON THE FARM SOUTH WEST OF BEAVERLODGE, AB 2:00PM MONDAY MARCH 2ND 2026

Welcome to the 8th Annual KSL Simmental and Charolais bull sale. Writing the intro to this sale every year gives me a great sense of accomplishment and pride; paired with a big helping of humble pie and appreciation for you, our customers and supporters. Without your continued support and interest in KSL genetics we wouldn’t have the drive to continue to better our program. From the cattle, to how we do business and how we get to influence your programs, the interactions with the amazing people in the industry truly are the silver lining of our operation. We finished off 2025 with our 1st Annual female sale and the success of it still warms our hearts and makes us even more excited for what’s to come in 2026!! As we navigate challenging years of drought and mother natures challenges, we appreciate our customers for the encouraging words, texts and feed back on our product. That being the good the bad, the wins and the fails; we are in this with you and hope we can work together to keep you happy with your purchases at the end of the day. So, as we head into 2026, I raise my glass to you all, we know how hard this industry can be and we are right here beside you in the trenches. We hope you have capitalized on record prices and that KSL genetics have helped put value in your bottom line and we can continue to do so for years to come!! Thank you never seems to be enough but know we value you all immensely!! The 2026 line up of bulls is our biggest to date! The cow herd has continued to grow and expand; we aren’t sure how and then we realize we may have a serious addiction to cattle!! With calving and breeding over 1000 females it has really allowed us to see what genetics work for us and the direction we want to take them. The larger numbers have really allowed us to take a serious approach to culling and be cutthroat on these bulls. We have culled both the yearlings and extra age bulls on structure and temperament, bringing the best to the forefront. We were fortunate enough to work with Koetha Cattle Ltd in Ponoka to look after the extra age bulls for the summer of 2025. Mother nature left us so dry during our grazing months, we just didn’t have the pasture or feed to properly develop the bulls, so Cor and his crew down there looked after our bulls perfectly. These bulls needed to be developed responsibly for our customers, and make sure they are growing properly to last while still showing us their genetic potential. We can’t thank them enough for a job well done. Looking after 80 mischievous young bulls is never easy and they handled the task at hand with ease. It’s a diverse powerful set of bulls and we look forward to showcasing them to you!
The yearling pen is maybe a little smaller this year, but the quality of these bulls continues to turn heads and impress even us. There are a variety of sire groups; from some AI calves to walking bulls. The tried-and-true proven momma cows, and donors, to some young up and coming females that are really stepping up to the plate. The genetic offering in the yearling pen is deep in quality. We look forward to discussing your breeding options, whether it be a yearling bull or extra age long yearling. We truly feel we have grown the bull offering into a one stop shop with a diverse Simmental offering, as well as the powerful group of Charolais bulls. The Northern born and bred cattle at KSL seem to be excelling across Canada and we look forward to working with you to get your new herd sires to your door with ease! If you’re unable to attend, please reach out to Brad or Myself, or use all the options of sales staff listed. We feel very fortunate to work with the professional and personable Borhson Marketing crew as well as Mark Shologan and his industry leading DLMS staff!
We hope to see you sale day,
Cheers
Keegan and Brad

Welcome to the 8th annual KSL Bull Sale. Keegan & Brad and family have assembled their largest and most uniform set of bulls to date that has as much diversity and option on a large scale as anywhere not only in the Peace Country but the entire Country on this 2026 bull sale run. Their dedication to the ranch way of living and raising purbered cattle has positively impacted many families and their livelihoods for many years and we feel confident that if you are looking to enhance your program and ultimately your bottom line, then you have come to source your bulls at the right place. On behalf of KSL Simmentals and our team at BMS we wish you extend this out as your invitation to join us March 2nd, 2026 for this exciting offering.
Whether your operational needs require a red, black, fullblood Simmental, Charolais, yearling or two year olds, Keegan and Brad have you well looked after with this deep offering. These breeds perfectly complement each other and offer a great blend of calving ease, performance and maternal. These bulls are made up of some of the real powerful walking bulls made available each year as well as some exciting and exclusive ai sire groups. The never ending search for influential herd bulls is high on the KSL priority list as is the heavy emphasis on building around fault free, productive cows. The working gals at KSL are expected to be fault free and easy doing, and to raise quality offspring each year. Their large operation really puts into perspective how hands off they demand these cows to be, as there is so dang many of them, no one has time to deal with problem cows to help or pamper. The sale bulls themselves are developed responsibly with longevity and fertility in mind. They to are expected to work and last with minimal to no issue. Keegan and Brad are some of the real salt of the earth people in the industry that we are proud to call our friends and when you choose to do business here, that is exactly what you become, friends. There aren’t any two people we would trust more than Keegan and Brad to source our purchases from so we encourage you to do so with the utmost amount of confidence. Be sure to tour the bulls anytime prior to sale day, they would be happy to show you through. Be with us on sale day to experience some big time hospitality coupled with an exceptional set of bulls hosted by incredible people. If your busy schedules keep you away sale day, please don’t hesitate to contact any of us listed from BMS as we would be happy to assist in your selection and buying needs. We look forward to visiting with you sale day!
Best Regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team
